All one needs to do is flash-cool it, and the EP and Exsidian will seperate.
Krakarda decides to replicate his protosteel toa, Rinowill.
First, he increases the density of some purified liquid protodermis...
...then heats it with weak plasma, forming molten protodermis. Samples of special solid protodermis are added into the mix.
A vat of exsidian is melted in the same way, and prepared for pouring.
The top of the protodermis vat is dumped out, while the rest is poured into a larger vat along with the exsidian.
The two metals are mixed together and heated up to higher temperatures, then dumped into various zamor molds and vials.
The new alloys are flash cooled with a vacuum, at least to a degree where they maintain their general shape. Once casted, their molds are struck to become intangible, freeing the soft hunks of cooling metal.
Those chunks of alloy are smashed repetitively with several high-density Pakari presses, then folded, and put through the process again and again. Meanwhile, Krakarda attends the vials of cooling hot metal and drips countless viruses into each one.

The contents of the vials soon become organic, and are placed in special zamor canisters. By now the metals have been pressed 200 times...
600... The viruses metals have been grown into MU organs, such as muscles, lungs, and other organic vitals.
1,000... Those organs are pieced together with perfection, and administered to several more viruses with cause them to grow together to form the basics of six toa.

600... The viruses metals have been grown into MU organs, such as muscles, lungs, and other organic vitals.
1,000... Those organs are pieced together with perfection, and administered to several more viruses with cause them to grow together to form the basics of six toa.
2,000... The fully formed toa are now resistant to any viruses that Krakarda might administer. However, the ones that had already taken effect continue to make the final alterations before the advanced immune systems of the toa begin to ward off these viruses as well.
4,000... With every diverse function properly stabilized, the viruses are purged, and the toa begin to share a dream. "I am The Makuta, and you are my sons and daughters. Your Destiny is tied to my will, as you are tied to one another...'
5,000... The six toa are jolted awake as their zamor canisters are struck intangible, and they begin to adjust to their new surroundings. Krakarda clears away the shadow in the room, and let's the weak glow of the hot folded metal illuminate his mask. It is the first thing their organic eyes see.

5,005... The toa fall into the nature of the caverns, with The Makuta to 'guide' them.
6,000... The six organic toa exit the illusion of their own minds and once again see Krakarda's mask. "Now that you know your Destiny, you will build upon the physical talents and powers I have given you." Their elements are unlocked at the simulated roar of a muaka, a noise that that is both terrifying and empowering.
7,000... Some of the smaller folded metals are hammered out into six kanoka, which are carved into masks by cooled tools of the same alloy. The toa discover that they can swap out elements when they enter a toa canister, and that the process forces them to stay alive just so that they can endure the immeasurable suffering of the change.

8,000... Soon, they become seasoned at combat.
9,000... Well acquainted with combat and use of the elements.
10,000. Krakarda awards them with the hyper heat-resistant EP proof protosteel armor and masks. The Pakari, mask of Emulation, and Rode are given to the female half of the team, and the Kakama, Crast, and mask of intangiblity are given to the males. Each kanohi matches their psyche with perfection, almost as if The Makuta somehow knew who they were before they were made.

A suit begins to form.
The six Toa discover their powers of teleportation, natural fire-resistance, and kaita fusion. Memory crystals are supplied to inform them on how to best use their powers.
The author of these crystals was no makuta... he was a single toa with abilities akin to theirs.

The author of these crystals was no makuta... he was a single toa with abilities akin to theirs.
This toa eventually becomes subject to their conversation and speculation.
The Makuta manifests a three dimensional shadow of himself, and begins to speak to it.
"No." The shadow falls into the ground. "That's ridiculous. Perhaps it is time I open my mind to the caverns again..."
The tunnels seem to shroud themselves in a black fog. Despite his powers, it is impossible for Krakarda to sense what lay ahead. "Do I have an untapped connection to shadow? Or am I a dreamer?" He strains to see through the mist.
Not far ahead, a makuta is talking to a group of others of his- her kind. They whisper of a rising sun, of a Dawn not far off. Suddenly, Krakarda recognized who this makuta was; His twin.
It has been a long time since he had seen Makuta Lykofos, and it wasn't a reunion he had hoped for. They were twins, to the very second, and flawless copies of eachother. But if opposites attract, then similar beings repel one another.

She was from the past, and nothing more.
As Krakarda rounds the corner of a tunnel, he is assaulted by a volley of Darkness.

Just as suddenly the Darkness attacked, it stoped. "Unity." The Darkness whispers. "Duty." The caverns echo it's words. "Destiny." The overbearing Darkness retreats to the far off corners of the tunnel.
