Voidarix moves past him, his sight still set on Inharax.
OOC: Just going to put this out there. He keeps his mask on 24/7
IC: "I disagree. Why would you want fight with Lord of Destral. Don't you both serve same cause?"
A few gestures are given with the words.
Charix sends a mental message to the Professor. Jammers on, Professor only! "You must forgive Voidarix's behavior. You should know that Inharax, the Makuta who you originally addressed, is currently attacking anyone and everyone he sees as a threat to his current position as leader of the Brother-Hood. That includes his brothers. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you Makuta. My name is Makuta Charix. I was appointed to the position of first lieutenant by Grand Makuta Karunax shortly before his untimely inactivity. I assumed command of the Brother-Hood shortly after, so officially, it is I who remain the leader of this organization; Inharax is simply the serving regent. If you need further validation of my words, you need only search through recent Brother-Hood history. It may also be of interest to you to know that at this moment one of my Brother-Hood fortresses is under attack by Inharax's forces. It seems he wanted to destroy my strength before I made my presence known." Jammers off!
Jammers, him only! "Rms stooges cannot hope to stop a true Makuta. Inharax must be getting paranoid. I made my return to activity and he met me with words and weapons of war rather than of welcome. Must we put up with this? Hasn't he shown us his true nature? Perhaps more importantly, Wouldn't we be better of if I were in his place?" Jammers off!
ooc: That is an ingenious jammers method ic: Jams reply: "I try to stay out of politics as much as possible, but after all this... I'd support anyone other than him." Jams off
OOC: Thanks.
IC: Jammers reply! "You are indeed a brother and fellow Makuta. Do not let yourself be intimidated by him. I intend on arriving personally if Inharax is not agreeable to us." Jammers off!

Jammers on. Well personally this anything secret just don't be unfair with it. "Danke, I appreciate info." Jammers off
Out loud he exclaims with a few gestures to make his point, "Why do we fight? Aren't we all of same species. Is not our species superior? So why squabble over petty vendettas? Our enemies and potential enemies grow in strength. If we don't put aside differences, for our common good, we will be...Overrun....Trampled...Replaced."

Charix speaks out-loud as the shadow he was speaking through suddenly enlarges, allowing him, and a small company through.
"Indeed. Well said."
Charix, in his shadow titan form (same as pictured) strides out, flanked by five Toa of Shadow, Tyglax, and six, tiny darts that seem to be flying around Tyglax.
"Yes, it's good to be back..."
Charix separates from his group to walk over to Voidarix and the Professor. He acknowledges them with a nod of his head before turning his attention to Inharax.
"So it appears you have some explaining to do Inharax, why don't you tell us what you told me back in the canyon?"

Tyglax is mentally contacted by Torzek. A few words are exchanged before Tyglax begrudgingly mentally signals one of the Shadow Toa. This Shadow Toa taps a device attached to his sword and, pointing his sword, projects a small gate way to the shadow zone in front of him. Two shadow Toa, and Tyglax leave the room through the portal which closes soon after.
Suddenly, Voidarix cocked his head to the side, pressing two fingers against the side of his head. Turning away from the commotion, he hissed under his breath, "What is it? I'm kind of busy right now... What? ... Now? ... Look, Deviox, I'm not in the mood right now. I've been through too karzin' much today to get this stupid meeting, I'm not bailing out now... Yes, I know I owe the guy, but I thought you hated him... He what? ... Wait, wait, slow down. You were attacked by one of them too? ... Yeah, said he was me, but... better."
Placing his free hand on his hip, he sighed and looked up at the sky, "Look, I'll try and finish this up as fast as I can. I'm practically talking to a brick wall here, but give me a few more minutes and I should make some progress... Yeah... Yeah... Alright, fine, I'll see what I can do."
Looking over his shoulder, Voidarix observed the few Makuta still roaming the courtyards. However, as his mind turned back to rage, something deep inside him snapped.
For millennia, he had served the Brotherhood loyally. For millennia, he had fought every battle that had to be fought. He had sacrificed everything for the Plan. And For what? He asked himself. He had had his "brothers'" backs constantly; when had they ever returned the favor? While his was being tortured at Zurakia's hand, where were his oh-so-loyal troops? As he slowly descended into madness, did a single scientist think to even try to help save him, or were they too busy trying and failing to create another mediocre Rahi? When he was trying desperately to try and piece his shattered life together, did a single Makuta try to console him? No, he instead had to turn to a Glatorian and a Skakdi, of all beings. Then, it struck him. He didn't even die the way he had been promised, in a blaze of glory, fighting for the Brotherhood. No, he had been killed by a Makuta.
After all he had done, he asked for one favor- for Inharax to let him to complete one, personal mission. All he got was an RMS kill-squad trying to corner him in a hallway.
Eyes narrowing, he thought to himself, if I truly mean so little to them, then why should I try and help them? I used to think the only way to fix myself was to reconcile the past, but perhaps the true answer lies in razing the past to the ground. Start anew with a clean slate. After all, Makuta Voidarix is dead. He died months ago, at Kratark's hand. I am simply Voidarix... 2.0.
"Actually, Deviox, scratch that, I'll head over right now," he added, his voice flat and hard. Ending the call, he turned back towards the center of the courtyard.
Energy exploded from his feet, rocketing him up into the air. Engines roaring as he soared higher and higher, he didn't even look back as he left Destral.

Charix watched as Voidarix rocketed away. The Makuta's mind reading abilities told him enough of what had transpired in Voidarix's mind for him to understand what had happened. Dismay creeps across Charix's mask as his eyes glaze over in deep thoughtfulness.
"Exactly. Everything Voidarix thinks is exactly right. It's gone...Inharax has driven the Brother-Hood into the ground and every Makuta who's worth anything has left..Anranok. Gone. Karunax. Gone. Sombak. Gone. Kratark. Gone. Echoniks. Gone. And now the last Makuta...The last connection to the past, Voidarix. Gone. I am the only one left....."
Righteous anger. A past Makuta Charix would have become consumed with it at this point; all his troubles would have melted away in the heat of fury. But this time. This time Charix was consumed with something different, a feeling he had never experienced before. Pure sadness. Where once there was indignation and anger, there was now mourning. Where once there was naive self-confidence, there was now loss.
Charix, focusing his eyes once more, looks around the courtyard slowly before walking off, heading to someplace where he might find books. Books on Brother-Hood history. The forces that came with him trade looks of alarm before forming up and following him.

At least until he saw a toa that carried himself in a different manner then all of the other Brotherhood agents. He walked with purpose in his stride. True purpose, not the, "knowlage" or, "heart" that most agents pretended to author into their gait. There was something else to him as well, the spark of his emotion illuminating a faint nostalgia. A memory of a time when things were much, much more simple and one never felt the need to look over their shoulder.

Charix stops, gazing at the Toa. Ordinarily, he wouldn't look twice at a Toa, but, for the above reasons, and a few more, he found himself particularly interested in this one.
Charix sends a mental message to the Toa. Assuming the Toa's name is Quaykxz, Charix calls him by name. "Toa Quaykxz. Explain yourself. Who are you and who do you serve?"

"I am an engineer for The Brother-Hood. I respectfully resigned around 2,000 years ago, and returned upon hearing that the great Conflict had ended. So I continue to serve an organization that craves more weapons, more power, but why has it given up its greatest pakari? Where is our indomitable Unity? Our undeniable Duty? Or our karda driving Destiny?" Quaykxz's eyes pop openand he preps himself for the possible attack, parts of his armor flipping inside out in responce. He should have been more careful with his thoughts. "I am no roodaka, I am only stating the obvious necessity that may have been forgotten."

He should have been more careful with his thoughts. "I am no roodaka, I am only stating the obvious necessity that may have been forgotten."
Charix's eyes begin to sizzle brightly like flares as he responds. "Your words are wise Toa. You ask questions, but do you know the answers? Our unity comes and goes, propogated only by great leaders. Our duty has become defined by the ever-changing individual whims of our members. And what of our destiny? Destined to be warlords? Have we forgotten why we fight in the first place? You see before you, Toa, a Makuta who, apparently doesn't have the right to exist. Am I rejected because I sought to restore a degree of honor to the Brother-Hood? Am I attacked because I remember the days of the grand leaders Anranok and Karunax? Am I labled rougue because I wish to restore, as they did, respect for unity and brotherhood? Tell me, Toa, do my brothers know of my return? Do they care?"
