Strolling through the courtyards, Makuta Malefix notices the tremors. He instantaneously teleports in front of an RMS "Go check the seismiograph or whatever Destral's installed and figure out what that was." He then casts his mind outwards, searching methodically for any unexpected beings underground.
The schematics seem to indicate a particle accelerator beneath the catacombs. Krakarda used to have a project down there, including a massive room for something called the, "Nuvordak."
Antermina teleports to her practice room; a large expanse of space littered with scorch marks and splinters of metallic armors she has shattered over the years. She snaps her fingers and, with a flicker of light, a large pile of practice dummies appears in the corner. She sets one up magnetically, pacing while she thinks. "What powers to test, in the first place? Artidax said something about being able to control energy. Therefore, I should be able to do the same." The makuta teleports a rahkshi of Electricity into the room. Make a bubble of electricity around that dummy. The rahkshi does so. Antermina focuses on controlling the energy without actually using Electricity. A difficult habit to break, after 100,000 years. With some difficulty she finds the correct mental lever and flips it, causing the electricity to contract inwards and scorch the metallic mannequin. "Intriguing. So simple, and yet so... Strange. But using it on things I can already control is useless." The makuta sends the rahkshi away without a second thought and fills the room with plasma. The plasma dissipates, leaving the room filled with heat that would turn wood to ash in seconds. She quickly remembers to use Fire Resistance. Antermina focuses on the heat, compacting it into a ball the size of her fist. The room turns cold once more as the air flares into plasma. It shines with unbridled heat, corralled by naught but her will. "A useful application. Good." She shoves the ball of heat away from her without lifting a finger and lets it explode, reducing the already scorched dummy into nothing but a puddle on the floor.
