There are various theories; That EP chooses to transform them, or that destiny means the ones we pick to throw are the ones destined... Enough about that, why are you concerned about your destiny?
"Why shouldn't I be? The GSR was destroyed last I checked, logic indicates that neither matoran nor toa serve a purpose anymore."
Toa, toa. Always either too philosophical for your own good or an exiled murderer. Are you a turaga yet?

"No. And the way I see it, there is a thin line between a being hero and a monster, I am inclined to believe that I will use that line as a jump rope."

Yes, a fine line between ruthlessly stabbing someone's brain out and breaking their kanohi so you can tie them up. Do you lack that much self control, toa?

"Self control is not the issue in my case." He looks over his shoulder. "Well, if you can't find my Destiny, maybe I should look for someone else."

"Fair point, makuta nui. Maybe I will see you again." He lifts himself up with sonic barriers, then begins to float away.

A convoy of airships appear and hover over the metru. FSS agents teleport down.
"Behold your salvation! We have come as emissaries of The Great Beings, and Mata Nui himself to bring you to a haven from the chaos and corruption in the city! All Po-Matoran are welcome! Come!"
Many Po-Matoran rush to the FSS agents and are ferried onto the airships

A blaring alarm sounds from the ship's speakers, scaring matoran off. Some less gullible matoran look around in skepticism. "... Didn't Mata Nui die when the Ignika did?"

Many of the ships have already departed, but those agents still present yell out.
"The memory of Mata Nui lives! Before his death mata Nui entrusted us to save the Matoran of this world if chaos and ruin befell their city. We are doing that job now."

The skeptics remain skeptical.
with a healthy number already departed, the FSS simply say, "We only take those willing."
A Toa of Light suddenly appears travelling at unmatched speeds uncontrollably. She attempts to decelerate, but her momentum sends her flying through a row of statues, smashing them to bits.
Standing up, she shakes her head, and wonders where the beings she was following ended up.
