"Do you not remember me, Carlinus? I was Zahard. I once stood at the side of Enryu. Surely you must have heard how she, with her own hands, brought her life's work to ruins. I once served her. Now I serve her memory. If you will have me, I will serve you."

Carlinus is taken aback by the whole statement. "Well... first, it's Carolus Linnaeus. None of that business with project names. Where is Enryu... or, what's left of her?" He would not accept Zahard's service until he had seen her, or her tomb at least.

SOnucus is muttering darkly about how the Legion is keeping him from deploying anything.
In the midst of his tinkering, he fires an ultrasonic command into one of the recievers.
The entire lab is scanned at high-resolution, the files compacted, and all the computers begin backups onto a single drive along with the lab files.

The Legionaries destroy the door, and enter the facility
Zahard states, "Probably best if we relocate. I fear, however, that I cannot show you Enryu's grave. I buried her on Aqua Magna, and it was destroyed whith the planet." His form flickers and writhes, tendrils of something not quite real spread around him. "If you would simply step into the veil, we can be off. I know of an absolutely wonderful ruin not too far from here."

"Brilliant." Sonucus grabs his completed backup drive and walks in, firing a long and complicated series of ultrasonics into the reciever.
All the screens blink. "Self-destruct in ten.... Nine.... Eight...."

Legionaries perceive the danger and immediately teleport to his location, and enter the veil behind him
