The Rahkshi of Rahi Control flies out to greet them, bringing various rahi out to supplement it's two energy hounds. Of note are two Muaka, a Kane-ra, and a flock of assorted giant flying rahi. The rahi make no threatening motion towards the FSS. Once it is within earshot, it speaks. "Why do you approach this meeting of Makuta with such armament?"
"Armament? This is as close as we have to a diplomatic vessel."
The rahkshi is silent, but moves out of the way. It continues gathering rahi.
Charix, secretly infuriated by this, uses magnetism to cause the vines around Magzus, if not burned up, to become repelled from Magzus's form, and fall away from him harmlessly.
Charix darts a stern gaze at Zenila and speaks harshly. "What is this?! If you can't respect Magzus's right to exist, then respect this; he is my personal agent and Hagah. Cease."
Charix swiftly moves his gaze to Jellica, trading harshness for a serious, guarded tone. "And you realize you, sister, are questioning authority? Are you wanting to turn a scene of consolidation into a scene of tension? You have serious concerns? Voice them, and give your reasons for why you know better. Or would you rather we all enforce our opinions by tearing each other apart?"
The vines are thus propelled. Zenila doesn't answer Charix, but one look in her eyes tells everything: She wants blood. She doesn't care from who, but she wants it. Now.
Jellica smirks. "An authority which hasn't been seen in a while, dearest brother. Yes, I have a serious concern," her face is now serious. "You are bowing down to the whims of the Toa. When have we EVER bowed down? We once dominated everything. We ruled, and then treason became the newest fashion trend. Inharax usurped our glorious leader, who hadn't the spine nor the brain to put that insect down in his place." She sneers at Karunax. "When he easily could've. What is to say the same, exact, Tren Krom forsaken thing won't happen yet again? It'll happen with Toa this time. And furthermore, I can hardly tell who is in charge here. Is it our lovely, brutish brother Karunax, or is it you, the toa-loving Charix? History repeats itself, Charix. So tell me, why should I throw my personal safety out the door for your 'brotherhood', when you are working with Ta-scum? With insolent maggots like this Toa?"
"You still seem to not realize I am no ordinary toa. I am a hybrid. One more insult and your head will be against my blade."

Jellica's neck is snapped backwards as something suddenly smashes directly into her face with enough blunt force to turn protosteel to powder, obliterating her Kanohi and sending her sprawling some distance away. Karunax retracts his elasticized punch as insanely fast as he had thrown it, a nasty scowl dominating his features.
"That 'spineless, brainless' leader is the same one who graciously and painstakingly tolerated the inane, perpetual nuisance that you always were. You and your sisters spread more hate and discord than Inharax himself ever dared to. And yet, because I was foolish enough to believe in second chances... and third, and fourth, and fifth chances... I let you carry on with your idiotic agendas."
He advances on Jellica, slamming his fists together with a mighty clang.
"But this time will be different. I learned my lesson. So now... I'm going to be the ruthless, efficient leader that we both wish I'd been. No second chances. No exceptions."

Xaia watches. "Oooo, good hit. I guess staying here with those things was a good idea after all." She mutters to herself, and possibly to the nearby bird

Charix, also aware of the incoming Kopen gunships, keeps quiet, his armor melting away into his shadow form as he turns to await the approach of the FSS group.
Beneath this apparent resolution, however, Charix sends a mental message to Jellica, continuing the tense discussion in an initially heated, and slightly offended tone which quickly falls back into a serious, emotionless response.
"I do not bow to Toa!...I am...allowing them to serve my interests. I will spell this out for you the most careful way I can. My interests are as follows. Execute Inharax for his initial treason against the Brother-Hood's chain of leadership. Absorb his assets, cut down all organizations threatening Brother-Hood dominance, and then repossess this world. This is my foundation. As for the Toa and matoran. The Toa and matoran agree with three of my interests. They fully support the destruction of Inharax and his armies, and they are wary of all organizations that would seem to threaten their own existence. They can be used to bolster our forces to these ends. As for the future...You think I am not aware of the tendency of the Toa to rebel? You think I seriously depend upon their loyalty? They are but players in a game, and, to the extent they are useful they will be used, but to the extent they resist they will be discarded. The difference between you and I, sister, is that, above all, I am working to place the Brother-Hood in control of a populated world that is ordered and peaceful. You, however, seem to want the Brother-Hood to claim dominion over a battered, barren, and continually rebellious one. My way seeks to acquire influence over the world while your way seeks the destruction of the world. You label all Toa as traitors and refuse to allow them to return to their proper station as our servants. In doing so you ensure the enmity of both the Toa, and of the matoran. In ensuring the enmity of the matoran you foster a culture of rebellion, and one always seeking your overthrow. Such a kingdom will never be stable. You will constantly be in a state of war. So what then? Stamp out the rebels? Root out the threats? More take their place. And then even if you were to gain your complete control, you would be controlling little more than slaves. Drones, always waiting for you to let down your guard. Always waiting to stab you in the back. I, one who remembers when we Makuta were viewed as legends worthy of honor find it displeasing, and a completely unfavorable state of affairs, especially seeing as it was our Mata-Nui given mission to protect and govern this world for the sake of the matoran who could hardly be expected to protect and manage themselves. You would forsake our initial charge and be satisfied with a mere shadow of what rightfully we should possess."
Charix pauses.
"And treachery never should have been allowed. Inharax managed to avoid execution solely due to his influence upon our leaders. If it had not been for that, we would not be having this discussion. Execution was always the cure for treachery, and execution was always the deterrent to prevent more treachery from occurring. Furthermore you grant to much concern to the Toa. What of it if one or two rebel? Execution will be in order. If my plan is followed they will no longer have the moral high ground. We will be the ones that brought salvation to this world. Not they. As far as we will be concerned, they are rebelling against the world, and are become a threat to order. With minimal effort we can use our influence to make the Matoran believe so to. It will be so easy to dominate this world if only we do so subtly. Instead of rampaging through the streets we advance quietly. Any who criticized us can be affected secretly by kraata leeches and repent of their past words. There are ways to dominate a willing population without resorting to the violence that we have tried constantly for the past several decades and that has completely failed us."

Charix sends his messages shortly after Karunax's attack. Drawing his mind away from the arguments he had created, he realizes what just happened. He observes the unfolding scene silently.
He does, however, send mental messages to Astrona, Zenila, and Magzus.
"Although regrettable, our sister, went to far. I trust all of you to respect the chain of command and the necessary enforcement of discipline that now ensues."
Charix also takes a moment to mentally contact Zenila.
"Sister. you despise this servant Magzus? You feel within your rights to harm him? He is but one who has discovered that his entire life has been a lie. His grievances against us he has sorely repented of and his wish is purely to discover his true identity as a servant of the Brother-Hood. You wish to crush him? You'll be crushing one who would spread your plants through every land."

"But this time will be different. I learned my lesson. So now... I'm going to be the ruthless, efficient leader that we both wish I'd been. No second chances. No exceptions."
Jellica's face promptly begins to bleed, as she removes her mask, just so she can spit to the ground. She reattaches it, very quickly. Anyone who noticed or payed attention, would see burn marks and small lacerations. "Well, Karunax has finally decided to play?" She murmurs to herself. "Oooh, no second chances? Ruthless, efficient? Honey, now we are talking." As Karunax marches towards her, she begins to heal, albeit slowly. She turns invisible, blending into the ground and air, as her voice seems to come from multiple directions. "If you had been like this before, perhaps none of this would have happened. We would have controlled our former universe, and you would be the assured leader of the Brotherhood, without any rebellions."
Jellica suddenly appears atop Karunax, her hand, laced to the brim with disintegration, molecular disruption and fragmentation, on Karunax's face. Her tentacles hold down Karunax's arms with strength, that is capable of doing that? Weird.
The vines are thus propelled. Zenila doesn't answer Charix, but one look in her eyes tells everything: She wants blood. She doesn't care from who, but she wants it. Now.

Literally none of this is responded to seeing how Karunax is about to utterly thrash Jellica.
Jellica's neck is snapped backwards as something suddenly smashes directly into her face with enough blunt force to turn protosteel to powder, obliterating her Kanohi and sending her sprawling some distance away. "Is there any way we can keep her alive? She is lashing out in frustration, confusion, and still reeling from the effects of Demirax's assaults." Astrona asks, while Zenila simply summons thorns and plants to sit upon, watching the fight with keen interest.
"I despise all Toa, brother. They are all but morsels to be tasted, and consumed." Her eyes turn black, as she glares at Charix. "Ta-Scum do not spread plants! Do not ever lie to me again! Toa are worthless, and absolutely undeserving of the gift that is life."

Magzus' eyes widen and his expression turns to a angry one. "You have no idea how it feels being a hybrid! When your team is crushed in front of you! When you feel like you're the only one of your kind! I AM NO Ordinary Toa. I am a hybrid. I will use these kraata power to decorate this land with you after I'm done tearing you apart!"

"I would advise you to take up that matter with Karunax himself. If Jellica is as confused as you say, you may fare better contacting her and attempting to reason with her."
Charix becomes speechless at Zenila's message. Unable to determine a way to mitigate the situation, Charix merely responds with a, "Your words are acknowledged. I will ensure you never have to suffer their presence."
Charix also sends a mental message to Magzus. "Tone down your words. We are both well aware of the infuriating manner in which you are being treated, but your words will only serve to force these Makuta to attack you. We will reflect upon this unfortunate moment after this is over. For the present time, I would suggest you withdraw to other matters and meet with the approaching FSS forces and see what they want. This scene is not for their eyes. "

The Kopen Gunships are now within a hundred yards of the meeting, and they slow their acceleration to a hover. Their armaments are swiveling back and forth between the assembled crowd, deducing the greatest threats.
Weird.
There was no need for her to remove her mask, since it shattered into thousands of tiny shards... many of which are likely embedded deep in her head. Despite their strength, the vines stretch and snap as if Karunax were held with string as he reaches up and clamps his hand around her leg with a vice grip. Tearing her off of him, he flails her like a whip, cracking her upper body repeatedly against the earth until he ends the succession by throwing a kick up while she is being brought down, bending her in half with an impact that erupts an earsplittong sound like thunder. If she ever had time to notice, she would see her combination of powers didn't leave a mark upon his face.

One of the gunships turns towards the confrontation, but does nothing. The pilot is a bit amused.

OOC: She was speaking telepathically, hence the italics.

"Tortured is more proper than confused, and I am afraid our dear brother is more likely to listen to you than I.. I can mitigate with Jellica, if you can attempt to calm Karunax down." Zenila nods sternly, falling back into a complacent soldier.
