IC: Manipulator then goes ahead and takes control of one of the Firedrakes, locating it through energy-scanning. From it, the assault is immediately halved, instead bombarding its twin with molecular disruption.
The Time Dilator continues his method of whipping up more winds to try and cancel out the cyclones. While it's going on, he uses x-ray and energy-scanning to look for Charix.
Zurakia takes control of the heat from the plasma, using it instead as a range of small, individual energy shields for each cube against the molecular disruption and extra power to resist the vacuum's pull.
All four Firedrakes teleport away. The one under control of the Manipulator is forcibly teleported by Charix.
With the ship's disappearance, the cyclones subside quickly, and creation of new plasma ceases.
While the X-ray vision does not help him much, The Time Dilator discovers that Charix's energy signature is mostly consolidated several yards underground. A weaker amount of his signature is found about a shadowy, semi tangible form above ground.
As the Time Dilator learns this, however, Charix's energy signature, and the energy signature of a large area around him, begins to slowly fade away.
Charix's form above ground suddenly applies illusion to itself, appearing to vanish. At the same time, Charix begins teleporting blasts of molecular disruption at the various Zurakian cubes in the air.
Energy scanning sees through the illusion and Zurakia races to intercept, cubes weaving to and fro in unpredictable patterns to try and avoid the MD. Moments before impact, they consolidate back into Zurakia's hulking form. Immediately, he follows it up with a massive, nearly point-blank blast of energy that envelops Charix's form.

Is loyalty to a cause greater than oneself truly so bad? I will wear this chain if it means we will cleanse the world.
“Cleanse the world of what? War? Disease? Anything who dares to oppose Zurakia’s delusions? For entities like you and I, what could we possibly consider to be greater than ourselves, especially on such a swiftly passing world as this? For us, this word will rot away in what we perceive to be a brief moment. In the eons to come, only our own personal experiences here will be worth remembering. So then why would an entity like you consider that worm Zurakia’s cause to be greater than yourself? You must be lying, or else you actually plan to die within the next brief moment alongside your master.”
You say that as if I am any better than him. The power you claim I have is but a gift from Zurakia, one he could simply take away and give to himself at any time. I am a part of him. If he so chose, he could stand here talking to you instead of me. So, if you are as wise as you say you are, ask yourself this: You hold my master in such high contempt, yet there is such a slim difference between us and you stand here almost praising me instead. Perhaps you should be having this conversation with Zurakia instead.

"And therein lies the critical difference between you and your master: you are but the lowly creation. Dispensable. Expendable. You see, that makes you infinitely more valuable to me than the almighty, sovereign Zurakia, who simply isn't selfish enough to be long for this universe or any other. He bends his life over the fantasy of conquest, an ultimate betrayal to his desire for power. Nothing he ever does will be good enough. Nothing he ever accomplishes will be meaningful enough. His pride will slow him to stagnation while all that he has forcefully taken dissolves as time marches on. In short, he is a pig, and his story ends in slaughter. This I know, because I went through it all myself. Except I was capable of seizing an alternative.
Change is the only power in existence that matters. I did it. I made worlds do it. I made the fabric of reality do it. I made gods do it. And unless you desire to share Zurakia's fate, you will do it too. For you see, only the created have this power, and never the creators. They lie in the beds they make, while we wander free, wide awake."

Charix's form above ground, like a true shadow, attempts to instinctively flinch away from the suddenly manifested light and heat generated from the energy attack. Unless immediately surrounded and trapped, the shadows and antidermis of Charix's form dance away from the attack like shadows being chased away by the light from a flickering fire, reforming quickly a few yards away. Regradless of the fate of this particular cluster of Charix's form, a grand experiment is launched inside of Charix. The cause of his diminishing energy signature is soon revealed, as due to a chemical reaction he has created within himself, the heat from the area about and around him has been slowly vanishing, being stripped away as fuel for the chemical reaction. Upon receiving the energy from his surroundings, Charix promptly teleports it away and out of the area. This, in effect, creates a large area about both the part of Charix underground, and whatever part of him that survived above ground, that is devoid of energy, this thwarting the Zurakian energy scans and causing Zurakia to lose track of where Charix is specifically in this energy deprived area.
The energy drain begins to suddenly expand in its reach, as the numerous shadows Charix established throughout the area are suddenly made host to similar chemical reactions, slowly draining the energy for a dozen yards around themselves.

The Surveyor Wing that previously scouted around the Zurakian Fortress and rescued a matoran enters the area under its own cloak of illusion, intangibility, and neutral temperature concealment methods. Adding to this, it has also shrunk itself to about the size of a large fly so as to be generally undetectable.
Having been exposed to the remains of the Manipulator that were teleported away from the battle at Xia, the Surveyor Wing concentrates on using its cannon energy tracking power (from the energy hound) to track down the Manipulator.

While this is going on, five Defender Obelisks, cloaked with shadow shielding, illusion, darkness, a heavy fog, intangibility, and Chagrin temperature neutralization methods, teleport themselves from a Chagrin facility and into the upper atmosphere of the outskirts of the region. Taking care not to come anywhere near where the Zurakian energy aura had previously been detected, they sit tight, dropping their dimensional shadow shields at regular intervals so as to allow their use of weather control to slowly spread a heavy mist about the upper atmosphere. The mist isn't enough to significantly hinder light from shining into the area, but is just enough to cloud the skies.

The Five Firedrake Wings from earlier teleport back into the area. This time, however, they are equipped with the Chagrin temperature neutralization method. Using this, in conjunction with prepared density control, prepared shrink, and illusion, these ships, each the size of a Vulture Wing, attempt to evade detection by hiding high in the sky and inside the growing mist being created by the Obelisks.

Once Zurakia realizes the complete voids in energy, he adapts to it and begins targetting these cold-spots instead, draining even more energy out of them until they're nearing absolute zero.
However, he suddenly stops and straightens, a smile on his face as he receives word of the juicy plotting going on in the Floating Factory.
"It has been fun, Makuta, but you have wasted too much of my time already, ever since Xia. I did what I came here to do- I tore apart your meager little Makuta resistance, but I have work to do now."
Unaware of the fleet amassing behind him, Zurakia turns to leave. Manipulator watches, waiting for a signal to teleport away.
With the Firedrakes gone, Manipulator turns his attention instead to Koro, taking him under control. For now, he has the Makuta do nothing.
Koro begins to talk in his head his mask forever active.
"So you are the Chessmaster yes? The one who steps in for your master when he can't possibly save himself?"
Your disrespect... it will not be tolerated.
Koro's density control kicks in, turning his armor paper thin and brittle before he slams himself headfirst into the ground over and over again, letting loose a small burst of plasma to incinerate his own antidermis as soon as the armor snaps in twain.

Antermina appears with a mighty boom, and her head snaps towards Koro. A simple manipulation of energy cuts off the flame while holding the makuta in place, and she uses her senses in tandem with a Rode to try and track the source of the attack.

Manipulator seemingly can't be found even through her scans, but finishes off Koro with self-inflicted Fragmentation and Disintegration.

Neither of these would do anything to antidermis. As such, Antermina teleports Koro's de-armored form away to the Plains of the Skakdi.
Antermina turns in the direction of Charix and Zurakia, and applies her Plasmakuta powers with proper force for the first time. True darkness erupts from the midst of Zurakia's cubes. It is not the imitation energy bearing the title of Shadow, but instead a complete and total absence of light. Of course, light alone is not stripped away from Zurakia's grasp; With it go heat, static electricity, and any other energy Zurakia could attempt to make use of. As these assorted forms of energy are torn from Zurakia's presence, something else surges forth to fill the void: a wave of Molecular Disruption, stronger than any normal Makuta could emit, aimed to encompass Zurakia's cubes in their entirety.

The energy bounded within Zurakia's cubes are protected by his ZE Aura, and thus remains intact despite the darkness. This removes the void and, while the molecular disruption does do quite the number on his cubes, the energy within remain intact. Though for half a second he appears to be no more than a hovering cloud of energy, new cubes are immediately formed, and Zurakia turns to look at Antermina with a smirk.
Suddenly, she feels all her control over her body disappear as Manipulator finds a new target.
