"A good question. But in your present state, I suppose we'll never know. Does it really matter? I see no reason for us to compete."
She giggles. "What are we to do?"
"We? Did I say something to imply we would be doing something together? Hm... I suppose I did. The way I see it, we've got something significant in common: we've both been diminished from our full potential and left to rot by the 'powers that be'. I was locked in combat with a powerful entity before you arrived. I'm going to find him. You?"

"'Aid' me. Hm. What do you have to offer besides company? If the Composer finds you in your weakness, I bet he'd try to siphon whatever he can out of you. Whatever's left, he'll take it."

"Surely that is something we could learn, you seem to know more about me than I do myself.. Who is this, Composer? Siphoning.. I do not feel that would go well.." Her claws clench, instinctively.

"The Composer is... he's... "
Carnifex pauses for a moment, looking off to the side as he ponders something.
"He's exceptionally intelligent and powerful. He's like me, I suppose, except colder. Much, much colder.
He's committed too many deplorable atrocities to count all across spacetime, and doesn't have a speck of remorse to show for any of it. What's worse, thus far he's managed to overcome all of the consequences of his actions. Not this time. He murdered all of my comrades. He's going to pay for that."

She frowns.. "Murder? You mean they are dead? I could fix that! I think... I feel like I can.."

He laughs harshly.
"No, no, even if you remembered how, you couldn't. I say he murdered them, which is true, but 'purged' is probably a better word. Ontological weaponry. He didn't just kill them... he erased them on an existential level, making it so they never existed to begin with. I don't even remember their names, and my own power is the only thing keeping me from forgetting them altogether. But even I cannot make their memory last... and when I forget... I won't remember the murderer either. I've wasted too much time here."
He straightens up and leaves the pillar, which crumbles to dust.
"I know where he is, but my powers of quick transportation have been neutralized. Will just have to take the long way, I suppose. I'll go slow so you can keep up."
Right as he finishes his sentence, he rockets from the ground and off into the distance in a fraction of the time it takes to blink.

OOC: She can't bring back what never existed in the first place without actually "creating" it. And since she'd be creating them, she's essentially just making copies (which may or may not be perfect) of his friends... which is totally screwed up. He wouldn't like that.

Anyway, to the Monolith!
OOC: She thinks she can, that doesn't mean she actually can. Since I am presuming even Chronoka wouldn't be able to view their former existence, given the nature of their destruction, and how Excidia, despite presiding over destruction, holds very little power in reversing it.. She thinks, at now, that she can. It's instinctual, because she knows how to remove things from ever existing on an existential level. Even Anae wouldn't recall them, or have them on her loom.
