OOC: Really? ok let me switch my post a little bit. as of right now who is there? IC: Sevair stands a far bit away from where the fortress is, looking for anything potentially threatening.
He sees the mobile Citadel, sitting ominously in in front of the Pit. Inside were the Army of Darkness repurposed for Soloroks needs. A collection of Skrall, Skakdi, Vorox, and Vortixx all empowered with the Nuva. Several flags and banners could be seen billiowing in the wind that depicted a bright white star shining on the darkness of space.
IC: He studies their newfound technology and powers.

"Why in the name of the Elemental Lords should I just GIVE you my steeds?!" The massive Skrall growled at the Vorox. "We'll PAY you for them, we just don't have the money on us right NOW." The Vorox presented a bunch of loot. "At least, not enough." The Skrall took a few steps closer to the chest and picked up a piece, inspecting it. "How did you come by all this material?" One of the Vorox growls something along the lines of "none of your business," but the leader is a little more open. "Raids. How much are you looking for, for the 25 steeds?" The Skrall narrowed his eyes. "Show me what you've got." "Most of it's back with the rest of the force." The Vorox pointed with his tail. "This is what they gave us to barter with." The seller shook his head. "This is not nearly enough for twenty-five steeds. Do you have any idea what the Bone Hunters pay for a good mount?" Now the Vorox is angry. "Listen, we're with the Grand Confederacy. We need these steeds!" "What for?" "Our scouts have reported an enemy force coming north," the Vorox responded, "we might not be able to pay you now, but the Confeseracy is true to its allies. You WILL be payed in full. And if you don't help, we'll burn this little ranch thing and take the steeds for ourselves!" The Skrall mutters angrily and concedes. He goes back inside, where a couple of other Skrall wait. "Give then the twenty-five worst steeds we can pass off to these Vorox as decent. Then get them out of here."
A little while later, the steeds are presented to the Vorox, who pay what they can, receive a brief lesson, and then go on their way. "Vorox," the Skrall spits, "curse their Confederacy."

No engagements have occurred. Kolyra has been teaching the Toa how to march properly to help everyone pass the time.
But that's about to change.
Scouts have reported a Vorox camp up ahead. It's garrison isn't very large. The fight to come should be easy enough for a first engagement.
The front of the army column forms line for battle, believing that they're taking the enemy completely unawares.
OOC: Prep your Toa. Will they take to the front lines? Will they cower in the rear? Will they simply watch the battle and wait for orders to be given that'll throw them into the fray?

IC: Tathel stands near the back of the formation now, hesitant to fight on the front lines. Despite his fancy swords he barely knows how to wield them. Hopefully he won't have to fight today.
IC: Lync floats high above the army, watching. She isn't really sure what to do. As much as she opposed the Toa army, the Vorox were an aggressive group. She was torn between helping them anyways or simply flying ahead to warn others of the coming danger.

IC: By this point the Vorox have noticed the Toa, and begun lining up outside their camp. It's a pitiful force of about 50.
At the head of the frontal force, Kolyra raises her sword, signaling the march.

OOC: ...I guess I'm just going to move this along then...
IC: As the Toa force picks up speed, those at the front lines might have many thoughts going through their head, but they all become mindless war machines as they take on the mob mentality and the attitudes of the mechanical soldier. There are a few exceptions: some cry in fear as they are swept up towards the enemy, others shoot with war fervor. The Vorox bristle like cats, crouching a bit and giving their tails more striking distance. A volley of Thornax are fired into the advancing army, killing about five Toa with blunt strikes to the head or explosive damage. One's heading straight for (Karz it I don't known who's up front because Jaysor's the only one who's replied and none of his are at the front lines) and another stray one flies towards the mass of Le-Toa taking flight. It happens to brush by Lync (7).

IC: The gray Toa watches. Battle is such an interesting phenomenaa really. It brings out all the worst in everyone, but sometimes, if you tune the variables right, you get something like the Vanguard. Monsters and beings who overcome their nature or embraced it in defense of all they held dear.
But, he reflected, misguided or warped, the variables just led to this. More senseless fighting and wastes of life all around. He bowed his head a moment, muttering some kind of honoring phrase towards the dead, and walked towards the front, holding his staff with a hand.

OOC: 9 casualties Toa, 4 casualties Vorox.
IC: The Vorox you are observing is a decent fighter. He, or she, is currently parrying a blow from an attacking Toa. Kolyra's noticed this one too. She tears her axe from where it is embedded in a Vorox' helmet, taking pieces of helmet and transparent skull with it. She fights in the direction of Beacon, but loses momentum as she meets a particularly unyielding warrior, and finds herself surrounded.

IC: "Gray" moves in, raising his staff and aiming it at the Vorox around Kolyra. His slate-orange eyes are calm and tranquil, as he focuses for a moment. (17) The staff hums, and a flurry of force-bolts fly out, towards the group ringing the Ice Toa. Even as he fires, "Gray" moves closer, breaking into an unusually fast run as he charges the Vorox group.
His eyes dart to the lone Beacon, and then back. Kolyra first, and then the Beacon. Before any more die.

IC: Lync hovers over the battle. She's frozen. The Toa had watched others fight before. But they had always fought with a purpose. Glatorian in the arena fought for supplies, sparred to better themselves, competed in the tournament for honor and sport. The Toa Council and the Vanguard had fought to defend New Atero. Now, the Vorox fought for their lives. But there were others. Malum. Strakk. Crystalia. Those who fought and killed out of... out of what? Spite? Boredom? And now the New Order.... what purpose did these actions serve? What did they gain from terrorizing the north?
Everything inside Lync is screaming, telling her to do something. But do what? Join the Toa Army, kill the Vorox? Nausea sweeps through her at the thought. She had fought, probably even killed during the war with the Empire of Darkness. But only when they attacked New Atero. She had fought to defend those who could not defend themselves. Oh! Like when you sicced a robot on- oh, wait. Lync recoils at her own thought, though she "hears" it in Crystalia's lovably putrid voice. That was a mistake. One she would atone for. So, what? Hold back the Toa until the Vorox killed them? That was just as bad. She needed a way to end the battle, to make all of this stop, to make it all go away.
Without thinking about it, her Hau activates, a glowing forcefield flickering to life around her.
IC: Tathel slowly approaches the battle, a single flutterblade held loosely in front of him. He scans the ground, looking for injured soldiers to pull away from the fighting.

IC: Most of the Vorox go down or get down to avoid the harrowing fire. But still one bars Kolyra's path. She does her best to block its attacks, but it seems to be pushing her back. The Toa general activates her Kakama and launches a quick charging blow, digging her axe deep into the Vorox's shoulder. She hurries on towards the Beacon, who is currently retreating as he or she duels a Toa warrior.
