"Good, I have your attention. Entity of the true protodermis, I plead that you would hear the treaty of a lesser being."
"Speak."
"I seek to understand what has caused you to return to the surface of our world. For, last time, your coming heralded the advent of disaster and destruction to this sphere. Not to mention it caused what my kind call the "Great" Beings to split you and denature parts of your essence."

"This sphere, it's a prison. It dares to try and contain me. But this time, small minded worm, the planet shall become everyone else's prison."

"Revenge, then. It seems beneath you. What brought you to this? Surely there can be no sport had with mere prisoners."
Toa Kra Hagah Maoni walks haphazardly through the region, her head bobbing with exhaustion. Miles from any civilization, the toa of magnetism falls over, her mask slamming against the iron that coats the ground. For hours she lays there, completely unconscious. And she would lay there still, if it were not for the being who pursued her...
Suddenly, a Rhotuka spinner flys from the darkness, slamming Maoni in the back, launching her limb body into the air. The impact of landing jolts the toa back to life, and she struggles to stand up to defend herself. Using her Polarity spear to support her, she looks desperately for her attacker.
Unfortunately for her, she knows exactly who it is.
From behind her, a steel spike is launched forward, impaling itself in her back armor. With a cry of anguish, the Toa of magnetism falls forward, and struggles to keep consciousness. She looks up and glares at the being who just stepped into view.
"Hello brother." she struggles to get out.
The Iron Toa Fegron looms over the pitiful form.
"You are a disgrace to us. You've lost the right to call me brother." he says.
"Make me."
"I will."
With that, Fegron takes control of the metals beneath his old comrade, causing them to rise and surround her. She screams as the metals drag her beneath the surface, killing her.
Fegron turns around, satisfied with his work. He is startled to see Typhrena and Juglaf, the last two remaining members loyal to the Makuta apart from himself. Krunad had never been fully assimilated, Dertre had been Killed by Krunad on the beaches of the Southern isles, and Maoni, after aiding the escape of hundreds of matoran from Destral, had just now been dealt with.
"And then there were three." Fegron says smoothly, as a thunderbolt streaks across the sky.
"Indeed." Replies Typhrena, "All that remains is removing Krunad, and his broken team, and we will be worthy again of facing Kolokvar."
Juglaf smiles maliciously and looks from Fegron to Typhrena at last he says,

EP starts edging its way towards these individuals.

Typhrena notices the incursion.
"Is that..?"
"Yes," Fegron remarks, "Energized Protodermis. I noticed it seeping in pools all over this place. It must be native to this world as it was in ours."
Juglaf observes it. "It could make us powerful beyond belief. Or render us dust. Such an exciting roulette!"
Typhrena stops him. "We need to stay in tact. If even one of us were destroyed, it would be disastrous for the mission."
Juglaf looks at the pool coldly. "Do you think the stories are true about its sentience?"
Juglaf smiles. "Is it truly a lottery? Or do you choose what we become? Have you been playing with destiny since the beginning?"
OOC: Silly Juglaf, the lottery doesn't exist.
IC: "Tell me, what is Destiny?"
"heh. Once I would have told you it was the most important thing there was. But it was simply the virtue given by a god subordinate to gods. For a universe that existed within a greater one. I do not have an answer to that. Have you?"

"The most important Virtue? Clearly, you didn't even understand it when you held it in high regard."

"compared to Unity and Duty, how could I have thought it was anything but the greatest? Even the worst of that world used Unity and Duty, but evil defied destiny. But now I am full of Shadow. I realize now the virtues were but a means of controlling the masses. Propaganda from MAta Nui."

"Defied? You poor insect, their Destiny was merely changed."

"I am not here to debate the fickle religions of the past. The three virtues are of no consequence now."
