IC: Resh starts at being called, so much so he almost tips over. The Bo-Matoran recovers, barely, and looks around a moment before uneasily meeting the council's gaze. He moves his hands out and shrugs, trying to appear more casual and calm than he does.
"There's plenty of volunteers here. Someone needs to stay and keep things from collapsing. I'm not a traveling man, not a good one anyways."
He inwardly curses the council. He feels a bit guilty afterward and retracts it for a lesser curse. I don't fancy dying today. At least, not for you.
"Why do you think I'm keeping Tanma and Radiak here? They would have run off themselves, but we need good defenders. If I thought you were better fit here, I wouldn't have called you." His voice grew heated as he answered, the council giving him varying levels of worried looks.
"I knew it!" A feminine voice shouted from above.
Its owner dropped from her upside-down perch on the ceiling, coming into a gliding crash atop the little platform that separated the council from the other Matoran. She was primarily a dark blue with some grey, with her jetpack having partially fused to her back, thrusters spread out into her arms to where it almost looked like it sprouted into wings. Though most haven't seen her much since the mutation, they probably knew who she was.
"You're just trying to get rid of us!"
"Gavla--"
"Silence Radiak!" She snapped at him before turning her attention back to the Po-Matoran. "You! You said I had to go on this mission! You're just sending all the half-beasts and undesired to die. This is a trick, there are no volunteers."
Defilak backed away, Radiak readied to intercept, Tanma just looked at the Po-Matoran wanting an explanation, and the remaining council members abandon to the crowds. The Po-Matoran remained at his post, looking at Gavla with the severe annoyance of someone being told their kitchen is infested with ants. She looked ready to swipe him, maybe lunge and bite into him with her fangs, but what did he care? If this failed, they were all going to die anyway.
"If I had my way..." He began while Defilak was quietly telling him not to say it. "..if the mutated were the only ones, that would be beneficial. But we need more talents than our suffering members can offer alone. Unless, of course, you have a better idea. Anyone? Any better ideas of what we should do or who we send?"
The Po-Matoran's voice increased almost into a shout for all gathered to here, for anyone to answer. Though it was clear that Tanma was going to end this soon if no one else spoke.
