Talin glares nervously at the Matoran his people had mauled earlier

"Everyone is here!" Leka clears the rubble and burnt armor from the floor with a burst of wind. The doors close in a similar fashion. "Now that the room is ready, it must be clear that NO ONE is to use their powers unless an emergency requires them."

The Av-Matoran and skakdi members of the Guard frown, but aknowledge and follow Leka's request.

Kuix, the unobtrusive vortixx in the back, notes the status of Leka as a fairly creative and rather powerful Le-Toa unused to working in a team and continues watching.

Lekar raises an eyebrow but decides he will have no reason to use his power without emergency.

OOC: We have no justice system, usually it's just the turaga who settle disputes... OK, until we find a user to play the judge, let's just assume there is one for now.
IC: "Since the Mangai have yet to set up a government or refined justice system, this is how things are going to work; I, as the toa who brought Talin in, will act as Prosecutor. Talin will be representing himself. I will begin with the accusation and desired sentence, and Talin will respond on how he wishes to plea." Leka clips each holster shut over her weapon hilts. "If he pleads guilty, he will receive a reduced sentence appointed by the Judge. If he pleads innocent, he will have a chance to present his case before the Jury. It is the Duty of the Jury make the right decision based on the evidence given. Me and Talin will take turns in a debate like fasion, calling in witnesses when required. When it is over, the Jury will be given up to two weeks to make a near or fully unanimous decision. If Talin is found innocent, he will go free. If he is found guilty, then the Judge will appoint a punishment he deems worthy for Talin to be subjected to."
Leka gasps. "Phew! It's ever-hard to long-lose my treespeak accent for the court-rules."

A NIkila Technologies car pulls up, and a Vortixx looks for the visitor seats.
Red Army soldiers show the vortixx to seats in the back
The recently-arrived Pain witnesses this interaction and follows the Vortixx to the visitor seats, where he takes one for himself. He then observes the trial as it starts to unfold, all the while thinking about how this singular persecution will do nothing to settle whatever plague is overtaking the Matoran.

Kuix looks at Pain and is very confused as his power just ends up showing a ton of unknowns.
Balaam, the Ice Agori previously captured, is brought in by the Toa Magnum, who conveniently freed him off-screen. He strides towards Leka. "Is it justice to force the defendant to represent himself rather than deny him a lawyer?"

"I'm not sure, I'm oak-new to court system. In fact, so is jury, defendant, and just about every life-being from the Matoran Universe. I tried to make spur of the moment fair-rules, but if you agori have a better system then our long-old one -having an elder settle the dispute- I'm sure that we are all ears." Leka looks to Talin and the Jury, trying to pick up non-verbal cues as to if she is correct.
"Hmm." Azouk turns his attention to Leka. "...who's she?"
"Some Toa. Never seen her before, but probably not trustworthy."
'Never judge a tablet by its number.' Azouk thinks, but keeps it to himself. "What about Talin?" He asks. "What's he on trial for?" Of course, the matoran knows the answer, he is just simply testing his theory on Andtup.

"I am well-learned in systems of law. I shall defend Talin."
