Some people take joy in one character. Others enjoy having whole teams. On some sites, one OOC account makes posts for all those characters, but on ProBoards, multiple accounts can function for multiple characters. Here I will provide a simple guide on how to quickly create new accounts on ProBoards for new characters.
Step 1: Click the lower-right icon.
The icon with two people switching out is your first key to a new character, as this allows you to switch accounts.
Step 2: "Create a new account on this forum."
Here, you see the option to select a previously-existing account, a guest account, or the ability to link accounts from other ProBoards sites. Here, you will want to "create a new account on this forum."
Step 3: Enter a username.
The username you choose is not permanently the one people see; you can change that later and I'll show you how. However, I recommend it is the same as your character's, as the only way to tag a user is with their username, not their display name. (Tagging users causes a notification to appear that lets them know they've been tagged, useful for interactions.)<br>You will have to prove you're a human by clicking a checkbox or something. From there, you will receive a "Success!" page that states you will receive a confirmation email (not required to activate the account), and you can click a big button to return to the main page.
Step 4: Click "Profile."
Please don't make me explain this.
Step 5: Click "edit profile" and change your avatar.
Step 6: Go to your personal settings and edit the relevant fields.
Here, you can change your display name, signature, location, etc. All the juicy stuff. Remember to scroll to the bottom of the page and "Save Personal Settings."
Now you know how to create duplicate accounts! This totally doesn't sound like something an admin should say.

(Changing the avatar is straightforward.)
You can either upload the avatar from your computer or use a link to the image from another site. Be warned: if the site hosting the image destroys their copy, you will be left with a broken image as an avatar. For this reason, I suggest uploading directly from your computer or else hosting from a trustworthy siteStep 6: Go to your personal settings and edit the relevant fields.
