A crashed ship lays partially buried underneath the Spherus Magna sands. Its origin unknown. Possibly from another dimension. More likely from another planet all together. Many systems are in various states of decay and ruin. No life resides on it.

A squad of Five Legionaries Materialize and Inspect the wreckage. They scan all tech aboard and attempt to determine the origin of the craft.

The technology is highly advanced, to the point where it would be overwhelming to even some of the smartest minds. No identifying marks are in the ship, nothing to indicate its origin. The ships damaged AI senses the legionaries and plays a holographic recording in front of the group. The hologram is of a Toa. The hologram is not fully functioning however, static disrupts many part of it. Hologram: "If you are seeing this recording then you are in grave *static*. An advanced *static* was created on my home island. It is of great *static* location. If *static* then you will be in grave danger. This is a *static* if we couldn't stop it, then I fear it *static*. An explosion is heard offscreen of the hologram. The Toa looks away and an expression of fright flashes last his face. "Once again I repeat, if you *static* immediately! Or else it *static*." A screech is heard offscreen and the Toa pulls out a Cordak Blaster and fires at an unseen target. Static interrupts the visuals and when it fades the Toa is no longer on the defensive and is lying dead on the floor.
The hologram ends, and as the blue color vanishes the Toa's lifeless body is where it was when the hologram ended.

the legionaries download the hologram and continue searching the ship. The tech is likely at par with their own tech, and they scan it again hoping to find any sign of extradimensionary activity.

The technology is confusing, many things appearing to be programmed in an unknown language. But there is an overlap amongst the program language and the ones known. Some files and system programs appear to refer to highly advanced nanotechnology, a war, and an interdimensional hyperdrive.

Most of the files are corrupted. But one has yet to be tampered with. It reads:
236 days since escape from the original universe. We thought the machines wouldn't follow us, but we were wrong. After yesterday's log we encountered a ship possessed by the machines. A fire fight ensued and some machines made their way onto the ship. We managed to escape to a new dimension, but we have suffered immense damage. There is a planet near by that we intend to land on. Perhaps the inhabitants are technologically advanced enough to help us. This is Tatarus captain Galaxia, ending ships log.
Multiple ribbons of light wrap around eachother in magnificent beauty, then expand as one brilliant flash. A Maxilios robot appears as a result. "This is where the surge was traced back to." His voice has a thick metallic ring to it, and sounds as if he were talking through a piece of tin foil. "I am now scanning the location... It appears to be a ship of some sort, but the technology is currently unrecognized." He attempts to locate the database.

The presence of a new guest causes the ship to auto play the last holo-log. See earlier posts for details. The ship is mostly silent. That is, until a clanging noise reverberates through it.

legionaries continue exploring
The legionaries encounter a main hallway. Multiple airlocks separate the large passage way into different sections. Door line the side, with the occasional staircase leading to a lower level. The lower level is partially filled with water. As the legionaries continue their exploring, an unknown being darts toward and opened door on the hallways right side. The door seals behind it.

They destroy the door and scan the room
The soon as the door is destroyed they see another door in the back of the room slide shut.

They continue
The door leads to a hallway. Stairs go down to the lower floor, 4 feet of water fills the hallway. The water ripples as if something recently entered it.

They continue, water not affecting them
As the Legionaries continue to progress through the hallway, multiple airlock door slam behind them and infront of them. The creature that lured them in bursts from the water, it appears as a shimmering mass with a humanoid form. Any scans will show it to be made up of an advanced nanite cluster, so advanced that nothing ever encountered in this universe can rival its complexity. A swarm of nanites burst from it arm, infecting the legionaries and making them part of the nanite army hive mind.
