As the name suggests, most of the matoran here are chartsmen, explorers, and guides to the newly reformed world of Spherus Magna. Sure, the large military factions out there may have satellite scans of the entire planet, but can (or will) they show you the Great Ruby Falls of the Third Border in Po-Onu-Ov-Ba-Wahi? How about the Crystal Lake of the Sixth Division in Le-Bo-Ga-Wahi?
Now of course, not everyone here is a, "Map Maker" as they call them. Some of the Fa-matoran are brilliant scientists making leading breakthroughs in the field of Quantum research! But tourists are not too interested in them... most travelers would rather visit the Starlit Cavern out in Av-Ta-Su-Wahi.
Veihrl flies overhead in this Metru. She rapidly scanning through minds, trying to find the one causing this moral draining.

Someone unseen, someone unheard... one matoran came to the logical conclusion that someone is wearing a Volitak and freeing the city from their morality. Hmm, smart guy.
Ah, someone approaches... I hope she enjoys the sudden wall of solid Shadow I just created right in front of her.

When she avoids the wall, my general location may be found if she is scanning the minds of matoran. They always do that.

Veihrl destroys the wall easily with a blast of Light. She is indeed scanning briefly through the minds of Matoran, but also finds his mind as well. She flies down to his location, weapons drawn.

Ooh... a mental connection... Good.
Now that our minds are linked, I forcefully cause her to keep the mental connection open for me to do a little damage of my own. Interesting, a braided mind. It would be a shame if someone where to start unraveling it.
Now I can be seen, no longer do I wear a Volitak, but a Felnas rests on my face.

He finds that her mind immediately locks down and keeps him out.
"You have but one chance Corrupter of Innocent Hundreds, let me cure that Moral Dilemma that Afflicts your Mind or be forced."

She finds it impossible to shut me out, I am in control when it comes to the mind and willpower.
"I have no moral dilemma, I am free from these things, and so the Metru shall be as well."
Perhaps due to the desire for a "Fair" fight, the mental connection drops and a psychic barrier protects Shadow Kolak.

Veihrl, being behind Censia in power, but with greater skill can easily shut him out. The only beings that can challenge her mind are Artahka or Tren Krom.
Her cutlass becomes a rapier and launches a blast of scalding hot water with enough pressure to cut through steel at Kolak.

Skill does not compare to willpower, and I have one rivaling that of the Great Beings. I will let her think she is in control for now.
The Scalding water passes through the Shadow Kolak illusion I made, while three more of me sneak up from behind.

The sound of a gong rings out in synchronous with a wave of Truth that spreads throughout the metru, eradicating the illusions.
Lux participates no more in this fight, and simply telekinetically removes the Shadow leeches from the area.

In the case of Psionics powers, skill does translate to will power and the Great Beings didn't have a strong will. Sensing this darkness, she uses her telekinetic powers to rip every single Kolak, including the real one, heads off with a combination of a massive blast of Light in the entire area.

OOC: Skill with a blade is useless when pitted against Karunax, same goes for the mind.
IC: She thinks her power is unrivaled. She is wrong. I am made of Protosteel, no amount of telekinesis can break such a substance. As the blast of Light strikes my elemental Shadow, the two find common ground in twilight, leaving me unharmed. But she wasn't focused on just me, she channeled her powers through the whole area. My armor automatically adapted to the new Light-bathed surroundings, refraction and guiding the light back to my opponent.
Now it was my turn.
With a new Avsa I had picked up since my encounter with Lux, I began to drain the toa of her moral light and over all power, feeding the energy back to me. Cold, solidified Shadow begins to fill her lungs, suffocating her. I know that she might be able to stop it with light, but such an intensity could also prove fatal. Something tells me she will get the same idea and fry my insides, so I fill myself with potent but non-lethal Darkness.

OOC: Can she see him wearing the mask?
OOC: He is behind her, but if she can see him, then yes.
OOC: He is behind her, but if she can see him, then yes.
As Veihrl is a being of pure light, unable to be corrupted, the mask starts to kill her. She turns around and uses telekinesis to rip off the Avsa from Kolak's face before he can take much of her life. She then uses her Light powers to control the light in Kolak's optics that allow him to see, making become lasers that fry his brain.
