I might be able to tell you if the villager's minds weren't reduced to mere bestial thoughts...
Temporarily ignoring the problem of her arm being made of earth, Talia tries to ignore the odd sensation and locate her sniper rifle. Peering through the scope, she gasps- or she tries to at any rate; she's not sure what happened to her lungs.

A sphere of Countervirus appears above the compound, explodes, and negates the Mental effects of the virus, leaving the inhabitants abnormally powerful Elemental Lords

They're... They're all made of their elements!
...Hmm. That's weird.
Talia is less than impressed with this response. Weird?! That just happened to me I think! Well except the bestial mind part, but still!
Talia attempts to moan, finds herself unable to due to a lack of lungs, and looks at her arm. She tentatively pokes it. Who are you, anyway?
Tulla, female skrall. Sort of.
Talia reasons that since she can manipulate Earth, and since she herself is made of earth, she can manipulate her body. She reaches for the power, and to her surprise finds it more like moving a limb then accessing a power. She experiments with shifting her arm into various shapes. So why are you here?

Boredom, looking for -- food.
She experiments with changing forms completely. Food? I've got rations.
Yeah. They wanted to be smarter. You now have shapeshifting...?
Much as I dislike it, I'm now made of a material I control. Yes I can shapeshift.
Interesting. If the mental effects were gone- Oh. Looks like the village has been supplied with a mental cure, at least. Now they're panicking about their new forms with coherent words.

Talia's expression is less than happy. That makes my mission significantly harder. Nonetheless if I know the FSS they're going to start searching the area soon. We should leave.

Hmm. Indeed. Tulla turns to Galaxia abruptly. "We need to go. Search parties will likely be here soon."

Talia reassumes her normal form, and looks at her wrecked things on the ground. She hastily packs up her backpack and examines the armor for a moment, before hastily removing the power core and scrambling field device and sticking that in her backpack. Without further ado, she sinks into the ground once again. Just as she begins to habitually create a small airway and bubble, she realizes she doesn't need to breathe anymore. Perhaps this form has some benefits....
She mentally asks Tulla whether the pseudo-Skrall needs a ride.
