The Bone Hunters are promptly lead into the court room by a Boggarak and six Tanohk. They find Torzek, perched lazily on his elevated throne. The dragon peers down at the Bone Hunters curiously.
"Aah, Bone Hunters. You noticed our return to activity?"
Enmer approaches. "Yes. Seeing your return to relevance, the other chiefs decided it would be best to use your superior technology to discover a way to harness the inert protodermis that has so recently covered the lands."
"Funny you should mention that Hunter, I had already been toying with the idea. You had stated you sought to renew our alliance? If so, then we have much to do. You may recall hearing about that absentee Makuta who created me.. Well, he's returned, and, as is typical for these Makuta, the current leader of the Brother-Hood has practically declared war on all of us... We've already made an allegiance with a band of Zyglak and are accelerating our preparations for a prolonged war. So, if you want in, I can certainly set you and your Hunters up as a force to be feared, provided our allegiance is honored."

"Rest assured, so long as nothing comes between us, the Bone Hunters will loyally obey. But in this agreement I am a client to you, not a slave. We require a degree of autonomy to function efficiently."
Lokkinci and Leran arrive at one of the peaks after much travel. They agree they must purge their moral light, lest their mental barrier be removed, and contemplate how to do so.

First, they eliminate their attachment to the three virtues. Of course.

Their minds are read, and their movements are tracked.

A matoran stumbles into the mountain region. He seems injured.
The matoran is detected, and his mind is read to determine if he poses any threat to the tower.
He is contacted mentally. "Matoran, you are entering territory protected by the throne of Chagrin. State your intentions."
An anomaly is detected in the matorans mind, that is there seems to not be a mind to be read. The Matoran mutters, "I need...help..." He collapses on the groun.

Two Boggarak Deployers, and three Visorak battle squads (Keelerak) (Rhoporahk) and (Sukurahk) teleport gradually to the matoran's location.
One of the Boggarak Deployers walks over, and, after inspecting the matoran, fires a weakened "Strength" konaka disk at him.

A moment passes. The matoran stirs. It quickly turns its face toward the Boggarak Deployer, it's mouth opening and a swarm of Nanites flooding out to consume the Deployer.

"We are 30 score strong with many arms and armored rock steeds. Our technology requires us to raid other settlements in order to advance. Our chief strength is surprise, surprise and fear; ah, two strengths. Our two strengths are surprise and fear and ruthless efficiency! Ah, three strengths. And an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope ah, I'm getting carried away."

The Deployer, in surprise, shoots itself with a hau disk, allowing a forcefield to be generated around it, blocking the nanites.
A Sukurahk swiftly fires an electrical field disk at the matoran in order to contain him for the moment, while the rest of the forces swiftly back away, watching to see what may happen.
The second Deployer speaks, while firing a few "speed" kanoka at his fellow visorak. "Cease hostile actions or be attacked trespasser."

"Well, that's good. You'll need training."
Torzek shakes himself, and flaps his wings a few times, before standing up, and gliding down to the floor. He walks over to the Bone Hunters.
"Have you experience with operating cordak, nynrah blasters, zamor sphere launchers, and kanoka launchers?"

The Matoran lets out a blood curdling screech and it's form falls apart, replaced by a swarm of Nanites. The Nanites buzz with activity before vanishing.

"A few of our number are familiar with their operation. The rest can be trained. As you can understand, they are hard to come by."

The visorak, now all endowed with kakama speed pause for a moment. Some look surprised, others dismayed. The lead Boggarak Deployer looks around fiercely for a moment, before relaxing. He barks out a quick order before shooting one of the Keelerak with a disk. The Keelerak vanishes, and the Boggarak Deployer loudly barks out, "Let it be known that we came in answer to a perceived want of assistance, we are blameless of wrong doing and stand strong against our enemies."
With that, all visorak back slightly away, as a quick radar scan ensues, followed by a mind reading period, in which all minds within the immediate area are (with no great skill) read to detect if a hidden being is around.

"My forces will train your hunters in the art of these, and other technologies. Come, it would be beneficial to proceed at once."
The six Tanhok lead the way out of the room as Torzek, expecting the Bone Hunters to follow, strides out behind. The group makes its way outside to the courtyard. The Boggarak turns to Enmer as the group leaves and asks, "Where have you decided to camp?"
