The field around the Stronghold still holds them in place as several small cannons point their way and finish the job.
If the light is slow, then everything is near the speed of light and you just killed time nonetheless, the Sunbeam drones shatter.
Every last fragment regenerates into a whole new drone. They strain away with their lightspeed. If nothing else, they will be a power drain on the field.
Taking a step back, the Time Dilator now examined his prisoner, chained roughly at the wrists and ankles to the far, metal wall. Unblinking, his sole, crimson eye darted from one fixation to the next, examining them one by one. When he was satisfied, he took one last look at the pathetic traitor, his glare boring into his dead-eyed gaze. Silently mocking him, he turned away, and seemingly vanished into nothingness.

Silence hung over the small chamber, puncturing every crevice, every corner. An hour went by. Then two. Then many. Eventually, it was broken by a sputtering cough as Voidarix arched forward, heaving as his head hung low, bobbing back and forth with every motion. His body was charred and broken, the bright purple hue that normally emanated from it now a pitch black, matching the now defunct gears and pistons within him. Chaining him up seemed to have no purpose other than humiliation, given the nonexistent state of any real, remaining mechanics in his limbs.
After taking in a deep breath, Voidarix tried to open his eyes. He found he couldn't. Completely shattered, his visor was now nothing more than a piece of colored glass, devoid of any real purpose now. He tried turning his head. Apparently, arching forward was the only action his neck could do now. Left with no options, all he could do in his motionless, lightless prison was think. And dream. And dream he did.

Confused, he whirled about. He was in a large, oblong room. Its walls were made up of millions of organic fibers, randomly colored a mixture of bright red and blue. Its colors were ever-shifting, the splotches of color moving from tendon to tendon like a cloud in a gust of wind.
Eyes narrowing... he suddenly realized he had actual eyes to narrow. Eyes now going wide, he lowered his gaze. Looking down at his hand, it was not the mechanical hand of a robot, but the armored hand of a makuta. Casting a massive shadow over him, he looked back to see his wings yet again unfurled, like twin barriers hovering atop him.
Grinning, he leapt forwards, covering a quarter of the room in a moment. Landing on the outskirts of the room gently, his gaze looking over the mysterious, spindly structures surrounding it. Up close, they were wrapped in a foggy haze that constantly sparkled with orange specks. Curious, he leaned forwards.
Something stared back.
Upside down, Voidarix's own face emerged from between the tendons, but it was different. It's mouth was stretched impossibly wide in a sinister grin, with teeth impossibly sharp making a zig-zag across its gaping maw. Its eyes were but black holes, an empty void.
Before Voidarix could react, his doppleganger launched forwards, its mouth letting loose a hideous sound, as if thousands of voices were laughing at once. It emerged from the shadows, growing in size until it's head reached the ceiling. Like its head, its entire body was deformed. Its head hang upside down from a neck almost as long as its entire torso, which itself was contorted into an unnatural position and stretched impossibly long. From where its arms and legs should have been, long, spindly legs drove into the earth, their form looking to be more at home on a spider than a humanoid. It's jaws gaped open, strings of saliva forming between its two parts.
It laughed again, a twinkling, high-pitched noise that belonged in a madhouse. Its soulless eyes glimmered, looking down at Voidarix with a mixture of glee and... hunger.
In disbelief, Voidarix looked up at the creature, taking a careful step backwards. It did not go unnoticed.
Cocking its head to the side, the freak of nature spoke, its voice still having the sounds of thousands overlapping, "I love it when they run. Run please. Please? Please? Please? Ple..."
It continued nonstop, repeating the same word over and over.
A sense of unease building up in Voidarix, he lowered himself into an offensive stance. Performing an action as familiar as saying his own name, he formed a weapon in each hand. Except, nothing came. Calling upon shadow, he tried again. Still, no powers came to him. Unease growing into fear, he took another step back.
But there was nothing where his foot landed. He fell backwards, diving into a black nothingness that consumed him. Even as his view into the room grew smaller and smaller, the beast grew. Powerless, Voidarix watched powerlessly as it became one with the room as he became but a speck in existence.
Another beam of light streaks towards the fortress. These things are annoyingly persistent, it seems. This one is surrounded by a vacuum, and deliberately touches the edge of the freeze field to see if vacuums effect it.

It seems to not make much of a difference. The vacuum doesn't seem to be triggering anything at all unless there's actual stuff being shot through it.
However, their persistence is noted and the Time Dilator goes to find out the source of these light-y attacks.

The drone tears free and flies away. On seeing the Time dilator, it chases him.
The others do not seem to stop at or come from any point on the surface of the world, simply orbiting it over and over without end. If he examines the sky, he may see much higher up a larger beam of light as the NA fleet duels with a Nuvordak.

Decu slams his palms over his ears in a futile attempt to block out the sound of the Sunbeam drones overhead. His doubled claws dig into his skull.

Depending on how high up it is, he may or may not see it. Sadly, super vision is not in his forte
As the Time Dilator is relatively moving much, much faster than the speed of light, an almost comical scene unfolds as the Time Dilator strides away and the drone putters slowly after him.

Well it's in orbit so
Drat it! If the Dilator comes near again, the drone tries to use Biomechanics on him as he flies away... slowly...

OOC: If a millenia passes in (less then???) a second for Time Dilator, then these Vahki made of light should appear to be frozen just like anyone else.
IC: Decu clenches his teeth and let's out a rocky breath.

The Nightmare King appears here having been teleported here by Krakarda.
The moment he appears, he freezes in place, unable to move.
Before him, a mass of long tendrils gather into a single form, wrapping around a glowing energy source to create the silhouette of Adaptarix. The King suddenly finds a sword pointed at his throat, sprouting directly from the being's forearm.
Eyes narrow, he hisses, "And who might you be, intruder? Answer, or I cut you down here and now."
Several hundred miles away from the fortress, and high up in the upper atmosphere, a single Defender Obelisk teleports into position.
Almost immediately after appearing, it casts an illusion across the area around it making it appear that nothing unusual has occurred. Upon the establishment of the illusion, a large fleet teleports nearby the Obelisk. The fleet is comprised of:
-49 Firedrake Wings
-8 Shadow Wing squads
-1 Wraith Wing squad
-2 Surveyor Wings
-5 Vulture Wing squads
-4 Raptor Wing squads
-1 Crescent Carrier
Within a few seconds, a thick, acidic fog begins forming all about the fleet.
Closer to the ground, the Dread Wing "Surveyor" teleports into position under cover of the same illusion.
