Zurakian Stronghold

Zurakia is surprised to see no such combustion occurring. In fact, the entire ship seems to be devoid of energy as he understands it. 

"I believe you have underestimated us. Care to try again?"

The instant the energy is fired, Legiontech creates mirror energy and feeds it into the shield, making a perfect counter to the attack.

"As one who holds no power over this situation, your demands are mere sophistry. Regardless, the answers are easily enough given. You are needed. You and the rest of your kind. You will either accompany us to the fleet, or you will be taken by force. It is a simple enough offer. Once you are all assembled above, you will be debriefed on your assignment. Failure to comply will result in your removal from this plain of existence."

ooc: it's not energy. It's specifically not-energy.

ooc: So... basically the equivalent of anti-matter for energy? I'm not entirely sure how that would work, but fair enough

ic: "You are beginning to annoy me. Your ships are completely harmless, but they refuse to die. Pah."


Crossing his arms yet again, he added, "So, about that deal..."

Dominus takes advantage of the Legion tech to download coordinates into his armor and teleports to Zurakia's location. "Greetings, Zurakia. I see that old-age has lessened your homicidal streak. Now you only seek to maim at the first meeting."

"If you would please stand down. You may do whatever you'd like to each other after your usefulness is expired. But we require you both to be unspoiled for the mission ahead."

At first, the Zurakian Energy rejects the teleportation, but Zurakia relents, allowing himself to be teleported.

A small, mechanical structure stood in a large, underground vault. At its center, a round, foggy light-bulb bathed the five surrounding figures in a harsh, red light. Splaying off it were several hundred cables, attaching it to the metal walls and floor.

At its helm stood ARES Mk. 2, observing it with his arms behind his back. Unintelligible code swirled around him, constantly shifting and changing to reflect his innermost, cold-hearted, logical thoughts.

Beside him stood Manipulator, standing as still as ever. His arms, disproportionately long and thin compared to the rest of his body, hung around his knees. Though he was by far the smallest of the group, an air of menace hung around him like a cloud. He stood alone, watching the device with a visored, faceless face.

On the opposite side of the spectrum was Berserker, dwarfing the others in the room by comparison with his massive, armored silhouette. Nearly reaching the ceiling, his domed head scraped the metal tiling whenever he moved.

Arms crossed, Adaptorix leaned against the opposite wall. Condescendingly, he looked his teammates over one-by-one, scoffing at each in turn. However, there was one he refused to even make eye-contact with.

Even the Time Dilator had joined them, stoically evaluating the mechanism. Though he had been made of lustrous, silver metal only a few short days ago, he now stood dingy and dirty. Rust covered his armor, painting him a dull, ugly brown. Dents and rips covered him from head to toe, and with every move, every gear and piston inside him complained obnoxiously. After all, he had been surveying Spherus Magna for over a million years, from his viewpoint at least.

Suddenly, the light intensified so that it enveloped the entire room. Inside it appeared a massive, hulking silhouette, who slowly approached them. As soon as the light appeared, it vanished, leaving the room lit only by a small light from the ceiling.

Behind, it left Zurakia, gazing upon his creations with a slight smirk. At once, all five bent low into a bow.

"Now, Ares, were there any updates during my absence?"

"So," he grunted. Now, he sat in his massive throne, ARES kneeling at his feet, "Valkia is back, and she's meddled with both of my assassinations. Knowing her, she's not going to stop any time soon. I approve of your modifications, ARES. Update the Elites, have them try again, and if she messes us up again, I will personally see to her death."
