From the Courtyard caves, you can enter The Catacombs. Said catacombs are remnants of a once forgotten Makuta project, built underneath Destral. Much like a Labyrinth, the Catacombs are very confusing. Legend has it some Matoran wandered down, got lost and have never been heard from again. If you listen closely, you can still hear their screams. In the western Catacombs lay the Library-Archives as well as the remains of deceased Makuta. In the northern catacombs, they are completely crystalline and filled with Rahi too dangerous to be contained in just Stasis Tubes. The southern and eastern Catacombs are filled with forgotten weapons, as there is also a hangar in the southern catacombs. According to most, Makuta Toxica once spent a great deal of time here, making the land very toxic. Which is indeed true, as the ground, while still crystalline to some extent, is tinted a sickly green color. Makuta Astrona has recently begun using the Northern Catacombs for something.
Voidarix wandered the catacombs aimlessly, his footsteps echoing against the crystal floor. In his hand, purple energy swirled in an orb the size of a golf ball, illuminating the hallway dimly. Hanging from his side was a leather satchel, filled with any trinkets he had managed to find. These included a shard of a kanoka disk, a tooth of some large Rahi, and a tablet with ancient, Matoran text scribbled all over it.
Something flashed in the corner of his eye. Stopping, he turned to see some small, shiny object lying on the ground. After bending down and picking it up, he examined it closely- it was some sort of gold coin, a silver rendition of a mask embedded on its face. Upon closer examination, he noticed it was the Kanohi Kraahkan. Chuckling, he dropped it in the bag.
Noticing that the satchel was pretty much full, he turned to leave. Luckily, his AI had spent the entire journey mapping out where he had gone, making it easy for him to backtrack out of the labyrinth.

Voidarix comes across a T-Rex like Rahi, clearly female but it seems much more intelligent, as if on par with that of a sentient life-form. It blocks the entrance.

The energy in his palm instantly grows to the size of a basketball, lightning crackling around it. He exerts his Kraata powers over Rahi control to relay a simple message to it, "Move."

It glares. "Forgotten me oh so soon, brother dearest?" A voice mocks, coming from the Rahi. It is unmistakably the haughty voice of Makuta Astrona. "I need your aid."

"I need you to go to Excidia, ask to her Core Chamber. If she asks why, say "Just a precaution." You will see three orbs floating in it.
Smash the small Brown, Green and White ones. Small. They look like rubber balls instead of crystalline. Do it and you may set some of your brothers and sisters free."

"Look, I only came down here to explore a bit- I'm not an errand boy. Deviox expects me back at the Stronghold in half an hour, I really don't have time for this. So, unless you have something big to offer me, I really should leave right about now."

"How about a chance to restore the Brotherhood back and successfully complete your precious Conquest?" The Rahi retorts, with the voice of a smug Astrona. "Even Excidia is unaware of her suppressed untapped potential."

"When Excidia," she grumbles something about cannibalism. "devoured me and other beings, while we consented, we we under the assumption it would be for but a few moments. Only I and Zenila were truly aware. Unlike others, Zenila and I can project ourselves through Flora and Fauna, resurrecting us. While Zenila has a physical form, because plants don't feel pain like Rahi would if I contorted them into a new format." She gestures to herself. "Anyways, when she devoured us, our essences didn't blip out of existence. It went into her Core Chamber, her very soul. The amount..." She paused, licking her lips.
"The pure ecstasy I felt..there must have been trillions, no quadrillions, no! There must have been Septillions of souls, maybe even Octillions! It was absolute bliss...Excidia is unaware of how many lay in her Core Chamber. When she eats an essence, it sends it to a Auxiliary Chamber, she has many Auxiliary Chambers, 14 of them. Each one can hold 7 weak souls, 3 strong souls. Now, she fed on us, but we were transferred to her Core Chamber, which can contain I don't know how many souls."
"She's unaware of her power. Zenila doesn't remember the Core Chamber, as she was only in it for a few moments before fleeing to her beloved plants. I stayed. Do you know the raw power she has?" She sighs, moaning as she remembers the sweet taste of souls. "She has a very interesting biology. Souls are power, Voidarix darling. Go to Excidia, rip her chest apart and laying in her abdomen should be a portal. Enter it. You will find yourself in her Core Chamber, as the Auxiliary Chambers cannot hold a body. Go to the very top of the north section, you will find a small brown gemstone, rip it out and smash it. You will set me free and I can help you."
Astrona smirks. They will all suffer her Wrath. The Wrath of Astrona.

Voidarix's mind flashed back to the Feeding, mumbling to himself, "Astrona... Zenila. The Makuta who went missing..." he nodded, his distrust of Excidia resurfacing, "Always happy to help another Makuta, show me the way."

"We were the only ones who knew the truth. She committed interplanetary genocide to reach a single Great Being."
"Like I said. Go to Excidia, rip her chest apart, you will find various capsules. Ignore them, they are just Auxiliary Chambers. Go into the abdominal portal, go to the top row of the north section. There will be a small brown gemstone, rip it out and smash it."

She shrugs. "Be creative. Catch her off guard, just appear in front of her, rip her chest apart and get into the portal."
Karunax wanders down into the Catacombs, but not with ignorance. He knows exactly where he is going as he stalks though the multiple, seemingly endless corridors, searching for one room in particular. As a precaution, he activates his Chameleon power and engulfs himself in a field of Silence, so as to not be disturbed on his way.

Despite the endlessly winding labyrinth of passages, Karunax finds what he is looking for in no time: at the end of the darkest corridor yet, there is a small, decrepit wooden door, which bears the moldy scars of age and neglect. The usual odor of dampness and mildew is suddenly overcome by the stench of rot and decay, to which Karunax pays no attention. Ducking down low, he pushes the door open with a loud creak and a sudden snap as it breaks from one of its hinges. The chamber beyond is large, but one might not be able to fully appreciate its space thanks to a massive pile of trash taking up more than half of it. The heap is made up mostly of rusting metal, but closer inspection matched with the rotting smell would immediately reveal a far less pleasant ingredient.
Once through the doorway Karunax is able to stand tall again, and he deactivates his cloaking powers as he approaches the pile. The voice in his head speaks up for the first time in minutes.
What is that? Why are we here? This is just... echhk... okay, maybe more than just trash...
This room is thousands of years old, but I remember when the Brotherhood commonly used it to store dead training Rahi to be burned. That never happened, obviously. I was likely the last being to visit here... not too long ago, in fact.
He flanks to the side of the pile, towards the far left corner of the room. At the base of the mound of decay, the glint of something far shinier than anything else here seems to have his attention. He kneels down to get a closer look at what appears to be a small pileup of blue and silver armor, carefully situated apart from the rotting grave of Rahi. It bears none of the same rust or decay as everything else, and seems to be neatly set in place.
At the top of the small pile is a dull grey Great Kanohi Ruru, and behind it, two broken halves of a decently large hammer are propped against the wall.

Lomois follows from the Convocation hall. He still does not know exactly what he is tracking, but he is excited. The absence of sound where there was great pounding perplexes him, but he presses on, for science!
