Alright, since YJF won't stop complaining and shouting nonsense about certain things, it has become apparent that I have to write the facts here to show why these complaints are misguided and wrong. As well as discuss other recent and old complaints and show why those too are mute points.
First off is the Spherus Magna natives (Glatorian, Agori, Skrall, and Bone Hunters) having been turned into Element Lords and the claim that they're OP. Yes, they are powerful and easily outdo normal canon Toa in terms of power, but this is the RP. Toa are averagely much more powerful and if not by their own elemental powers, then from the vast amount of gear and additional powers given to them. If the Element Lords were trained and knew how to use their powers to the best they could, which a vast majority still don't, then they could be considered a threat. But a threat no more than the Toa Mangai was, which as I recall as very easy to kill and Feand as shown in regards to Element Lords, they can be killed with relative easy. If the part of their body where their consciousness is stored is destroyed, they're dead. This is why the canon Element Lords had to constantly move; if the Element Lord of Water just stayed in once place, the Element Lord of Ice would have killed him in an instance.
Now the main thing here is that the only faction that primarily uses Glatorian, and thus Element Lords, is the Forosian Confederacy, making it a more legitimate player in the overall RP. Not saying that Foros on its own couldn't have become much more threatening, but Element Lords certainly sped that process up. With the RMS and Xia having constantly repairing and healing units, making them difficult to kill, Foros troops being Element Lords balance this out. They can repair their bodies now, take hits that would otherwise instantly kill them (whereas the RMS and Xia would survive), and now have an army that lasts longer. But Foros hasn't taken much advantage of their Element Lords, instead canning them in armor and using them to carry heavier weapons. One good explosive blast or use of a variety of powers can kill them. Molecular Disruption and Disintegration, both popular powers can take out the Element Lords with no problem, especially the less than maneuverable Foros troops.
Though even if they are just as maneuverable as the canon Element Lords, they still possess similar weaknesses to the Toa Mangai. It would be more difficult in trying to absorb an Element Lord's body than the Elemental Energies that were the Mangai, but plausible. And in the Element Lords case, they don't have an all powerful Psionic user protecting them, their minds are severely unprotected and can be attacked. Not even using those methods, why do I have to remind you what the New Artahka Matoran can do, the weapons at the Brotherhood and Xia's disposal? You add Power Lance tech to so many things. Matoran have weapons that can perform Voporak's powers for goodness sake! And don't bother trying to argue that New Artahka made such weapons to compete with the Element Lords, because they were only given that because RR and arnn thought it would be cool and awesome to have. In a day and age where Matoran make Amra and Bakud look under-powered, where Matoran can give my Vahtakran a run for their money, where Matoran seem to be on the verge to even surpass Tredixs, Elements Lords have become to the RP to what canon Toa are to the canon story. Powerful warriors for sure, but easily over powered by many other beings.
Also, if YJF is going to claim I forced this change on people's RPCs, I did not. I stated several times at the start of the virus's release, and throughout when informing others of the virus, that RPCs are immune. They would only change if their player wanted them to change and even at that it could be just a partial change so that they gain the powers. If you didn't like it, you don't have to comply to having your characters to Element Lords.
Second, Equinox's limited Time Manipulation. As I have explained time and time again, Equinox's ability to manipulate time is similar to that as his advance power of Slow. And like Slow, he can only slow down time or freeze it altogether in a area no larger than New Xia (unless New Xia is much larger than I think it is. In which case, oops ). Can he freeze the entire world in time? No, that's ridiculous. Is it ridiculous that Equinox has this power in the first place? The Makuta of Stelt gave Voporak his powers, a limited time manipulator. Now, sure, we don't know how long the Makuta spent making the experiment to change Voporak and perhaps part of it was a mistake. But, considering the Vahi was part of the Plan, it is likely that was the task the Makuta of Stelt was given as his part of the Plan. Given that Equinox studied time for a long period and is the expert in time and efficiency, learning how to give himself the ability to control time to slow it down isn't that ridiculous. Especially when mentally weak Toa can use the Vahi to slow down time, a Makuta could easily use the Vahi properly (otherwise, why would Teridax want a mask he couldn't control?). So one giving himself the ability to do essential a well controlled version of what two Toa failed to do isn't far off and pretty reasonable. He cannot reverse time, he cannot speed up time, he cannot time travel, etc. If someone using a Vahi where to challenge him, the Vahi would defeat Equinox's control over time.
However, not only for RP fairness, but also due to how Equinox's character is, he just uses it to walk and chat with other characters in private (or fight them, preventing them from getting outside help). Even when Equinox froze the island of Xia and destroyed their research, I only did so as I knew the Xia could easily recover, having back-ups. Now, I'm not saying that time manipulation should be common place or even uncommon for that matter. I do think it should be limited, but I see that several of you don't think so and complain anyways. As mentioned earlier, Matoran have weapons replicating Voporak's powers. Yes, there is the Mask of Aging, but that only accelerates the life force of a target and pitifully slow at that. It isn't something that ages things thousands of years within seconds indiscriminately. Something not in the hands of a well controlled RPC, but a an army of NPCs. And of course there is Ar's Time Dilator character, which I have yet to see any complaining about.
Now, if I have to take away Equinox's limited Time Manipulation away for the RP, that's fine. His advance power of Slow is already time manipulation. If you want to go back to the original way the power of Slow worked, removing all momentum/movement from everything, then that's fine too. It may result that Equinox isn't quite as fast in travel, but it changes absolute nothing when affecting an area with this power. He still could affect the entire island of New Xia and with nothing being able to move he could have done everything he did before. No energy, being, or object would be able to move, completely robbed of their ability to do so. Just as with Equinox's virus, I did not just give this power haphazardly.
Third and final is what we're calling the EP Layer. But first, a quick history lesson and definition just in case someone is reading this does not know of the EP Layer. Energized Protodermis started leaking on the surface of the planet again, so with the possibility of another Shattering on the horizon, various characters tried preventing it. However, the characters took way too long in stopping the leaks and it grew to the point that the planet should have shattered. To explain this away, and also due to some character changes from Nick and CC, instead of the planet being destroyed the Energized Protodermis Being was changed the planet into essentially a Cybertron-Death Star hybrid. A massive mechanical planet with various transformed beings maintaining it while it traveled throughout the galaxy, doing whatever the EP Being felt like. As such, as discovered by various individuals, the changes EP made to the surface as well as the underground is referred to as the EP Layer. A solid metal substance as physically durable as the GSR shell, immune to all elemental powers, can repair any damage done to it quickly, and fools scanners into thinking that the planet is perfectly normal. Due to this EP layer, creating new underground places is mostly impossible and at the very least such bases cannot go down very far.
Perhaps you didn't notice, but I said nothing against Onu-Koro, which has a massive series of tunnels and caves, or when Order drones were mining resources, or Avok creating his cave. For each instance, I just assumed they were doing it a part of an area EP didn't touch or at least didn't move up as high. In Avok's case, he was stopped and limited for being in an area that was so filled and changed by EP. A similar situation with NAMES, as I haven't said anything against the mine, just a reminder that they can only go so for before coming to the EP Layer. I said nothing about Leo's Pyramids as well. RR, arnn, you two have done nothing but complain about this EP Layer, trying to find various ways you can destroy the entire planet just to get rid of it. Or to get rid of the new coming faction within it, generally both. As with many things, instead of asking for a compromise or if I would lowering the EP Layer in certain areas and giving a more defined depth, you just tried to punch through it with brute force.
So, if you (RR, arnn, Keps, CC, and Brickme) would like to discuss how far down it should be set and whatnot, I am open to it. However, if it is indeed lowered, my stipulation is that Brickme gets first dibs on creating tunnels and bases.
