"Greed, or ambition? Can you discern between the two? You see, a lack of ambition... a lack of motivation and desire... that is how civilizations die."
"A lack of ambition kills civilizations. But so does an excess."
"And in that regard, you are most certainly correct. Which is exactly why such ambitions should be routinely fulfilled, in order to maintain satisfactory progress. There will be no stopping point, only constant forward motion. Xia will grow and grow with no end in sight, working ever the more diligently towards the next achievement. If it does this, its citizens will rejoice and prosper. If it does not... "

"I under-" "I'm afraid I need to cut this conversation short; SOme issues have come up."
Is this facility below the old Vortaxx facility or built in the remains of it?
It's been here pretty much since I got Xia. It started as just Proto's lab and has gradually expanded to basically be the entire non-manufacturing part of the State of Xia.
TO answer your question, though, there's probable a couple parts, but they would have been thoroughly screened and anything weird removed. Besides that, it's probably mostly below.

"A shame you are incapable of carrying both conversation and tasks... but that is the way it is. We really must continue this sometime soon."
And then he's just... gone. Like a ghost fading from the world.
An entire wing of the R&D division reactivates, under the orders of XAI.
This just so happens to be the advanced military project wing.
Two new possible designs begin research. Fixed AAA turrets: 1/3 Multi Terrain Ground Units: 1/3
The possibility to detect seperate Kanoka energies at range is investigated. 1/2
Complete Missile-based AA is investigated: 1/3 complete An order of fifty MTGUs is ordered for testing
complete The possibility is found feasible, and work on an omnidirectional scanner begins
Naval defense is investigated, and an idea is found using Toa Seal technology and Gravitic acceleration. Work begins on refining the Toa Seal generators to generate a shaped projectile
The Rahkcrusher designs are found, and designated still feasible.
XAI personally begins overseeing a project to develop a few new Xiajet variants.
New Xiajets begin development Xiajet Mk. 4 The Xiajet Mk. 5 is similar to the Mk. 2 and Mk. 3, but with War in a BOx-based bomb bays on the sides that each hold ten of the miniturized warheads used by Mk. 1.1 Xiajet missiles.
Kahu Mk. 1
A major step forwards, the Kahu Mk. 1 is designed to be versatile enough to function in both civilian roles and the XIan military. A very large aircraft with a full cargo bay and Miru-based VTOL capacity, the Kahu can be built with either a sophisticated cockpit adjustable for any species, or with a standard drone core. It has three EEs, one on each wing and the back fuselage, and a Hau unit built into the front section. At maximum speed using all EEs, it can travel at up to mach 4 safely, although it cruises at a much lower speed. Nektann guns on each wing, the top, and the bottom give it excellent AA capacities as well, and the government models have a Project Warehouse terminal

MTGUs perform better then expected, with Kakamas being able to push them up to 2400 MPH
The engineering is much easier then expected, and software begins development 1/3
Work continues. One projectile is formulated, and impact tests begin on it. 1/4

One of the rooms is flooded with a blue light as bright as the sun in an instant. In an equally short span of time the light flickers and dies, leaving a confused Crimax in it's place. He puts his hand to his head. "What just...? Wait, where'd they go?"

"....."
"There you are! Where'd you go?" Crimax looks relieved to see a familiar face return.
