A streak of light scorches its way through the sky, smashing into a far-from-anything piece of tundra. As it cools, the molten coating slowly peels away from the object to reveal a shiny metallic thing. Viewed from one angle, it almost looks like a gearbox. From another, it looks like a gyroscope.
The thing's internal armatures slowly begin to spin, whirling faster and faster until they look still again. Lightning seems to build up between the spokes of the gyroscope, and the gearbox crackles with energy.
And then all sensor data in a half-mile radius turns to static. Anyone watching would see a massive dome of what looks like pure static, before it slowly resolves into colored pixels that slowly gain detail until it is indistinguishable from its surroundings. But the sensors still do not work.
A yellow streak of light follows the strange object as it falls. It stops as the object nears the ground, watching from the peak of a mountain, and tilts it's irregular head at the visual effect.

NOthing else appears to happen.
The Avvahk pauses and proceeds to rush down towards the strange object, a streak of light on the mountainside.
