Eric find himself ejected out of the darkness and into one small spot of light with a door in the farthest edge of the light. If he where to look everywhere else, it is the solid darkness. He can't even see where the light comes from.

He finds another small room with three doors, each marked with "Knowing Your Opponent," on them.
Eric pulls out his scythe and shield, watching what he assume to be an enemy.
"Eliminator" just rolls his eyes at the Matoran before launching a lightning-like blast of Freeze energies at Eric.
Eric raises his shield to block it, and quickly let's go before the frost reaches his hand. He then steps into the shadow the shield casts and appears behind Eliminator, swinging his scythe at him. I should end this sooner rather than later

Eric flies up and pulls his sword out along with his shield, which he uses to cast a shadow which he falls into. He then pops out nearby Eliminator from the ground, thrusting with his sword at his leg.
