I was under the impression that Power Lances augmented elemental energy.
I was under the impression Power Lances just plain augmented energy.
MC could be right canon wise, but it has been used to amplify makuta powers for quite some time in the bionicle roleplay, so the RP version is akin to what rr said.
I've mentioned some of these here and there, but now that secondary vahki are actually being used, I figured that it would be best to post their profiles for reference. No, I will not provide names.
Location: Av-Metru. Staffs: Slow. Personality: Inclined to do their own repairs/maintenance, as they like to think of themselves as independent.
Location: Kra-Metru. Staffs: Illusionary splitting, so that law-breakers won't know which one is the real vahki. Personality: Extremely de-moralized by their location, and don't usually chase law-breakers unless it's a serious crime.
Location: De-Metru. Staffs: Sleep (touch). Extra: Permanently in stealth mode via Volitak. Personality: Anxious, quick to act in order to protect their matoran.
Location: Ba-Metru. Staffs: Increase and decrease weight, which helps slow criminals. Personality: Slow thinking when alone, but powerful as a team.

Location: Fe-Metru. Staffs: Weaken. Personality: Very similar to the Zadahk, but instead of being designed for open spaces, they were made for parkor type running, and are considered slow elsewhere.
Location: Ce-Metru. Staffs: Peace. Extras: Unlike the rest, this model speaks matoran at a normal speed. Personality: Prefers to talk a criminal down rather then risk putting others in danger with a fight.
Location: Ov-Metru. Staffs: Grouping. Makes groups stay together instead of splitting up, thus making capture easier. Extras: Kranua sand transmutation. Personality: Powerhouse vahki who engage themselves in agori social activities in order to predict a criminals next moves.

Code name: “Absent”
Real Name: Unknown
Species: Unknown
Gender: Male?
Kanohi: None
Appearance: Unknown, “Absent” can’t be seen. Assumed humanoid and around eight feet tall.
Powers and Weapons: “Absent” is completely invisible, even to Rode users, and anything he grabs will also become invisible. Has something similar to Density Control, being able to phase through walls and other matter. He can also have anything he’s hold phase through objects with him and makes detection by sonar slightly harder. Mentally shielded and his only weapons are a sword and dagger.
Personality: Pretty much always late and works very slowly. Difficult to motivate and needs someone to keep him in line.
Background: It’s unknown how or when “Absent” became in his current state, but he was not always this way. He was discovered on Odina as he thought he could just take a long nap on the island without being discovered. Because of his abilities, he wasn’t killed and recruited into the Dark Hunters. He would soon receive his codename “Absent” not because he isn’t seen, but since he was always late, if he even bothered to show up, to meetings and summons. He would have been punished more often, but he proved difficult to find. “Absent” was on a mission with “Chroma Key” and “Ersatz” for a long time until the destruction of the MU. After “Chroma Key” and “Ersatz” finally found where “Absent” was napping, they left with other Dark Hunters for the new iteration of the organization.
Code name: “Wishing Well”
Real Name: Unknown
Species: “The Shadowed One’s” Species
Gender: Male
Kanohi: None
Appearance: Somewhere in-between “Ancient” and “Tyrant” in appearance, having a tail and buff looking. Has a copper and silver color scheme and is covered in Rhotuka Launchers.
Powers and Weapons: “Wishing Well” has fifteen, rapid fire, Rhotuka Launchers, each one possessing a different power. Specifically, they are: Obedience, Mean Look/prevents target from escape or leaving the battle field, Protect/Barrier, Disintegration/turns anything to dust, Mutation, Size Manipulation, Confusion, Blindness, Paralysis, Razor Disk, Teleportation, Stasis, Plant Growth/Creation, Empower, and Weaken. However, if he consumes a widget, he can make his Rhotuka launchers do just about anything for a limited time.
Personality: Arrogant, believes himself to be a true ruler, and wishes to be a god, “Wishing Well” is just bad company. Often upset, always plotting, and desperate.
Background: “Wishing Well” was once a peaceful member of “The Shadowed One’s” species until the civil war. Near the end of the war, he tried to make himself a god by using Rhotuka launchers and their energies to manipulate the world, commissioning Xia to perform his experiment on him. Though unbeknownst to him, the one that would become “The Shadowed One” managed to hear of this and paid the Xians to change the experiment slightly. Instead of having the unlimited power that “Wishing Well” thought he would have, he found himself limited and needing to consume Widgets in order to use his true new power. Forcefully inducted into the Dark Hunters, “Wishing Well” would serve well in order to get his promised widgets. For punishments, more and more Rhotuka Launchers would be added to “Wishing Well,” which increased the number of widgets he needed to use his powers and also decreased how long he could use them in widget to time ratio. This made him increasing desperate, trying to over throw the ruler of the Dark Hunters which in turn gave him another launcher and more desperate to get widgets. Eventually he just left altogether to try and steal the widgets himself, but this didn’t end well and was imprisoned. Until the destruction of the Matoran Universe, he would remain in prison and after being freed went on a search for widgets. After not finding any, he came across of couple of old Dark Hunters he knew and followed them, hoping they would led him to widgets.
Code name: “Chroma Key”
Real Name: Unknown
Species: Lariska’s Species
Gender: Female
Kanohi: None
Appearance: Similar to Lariska, a limber humanoid with green and blue armor.
Powers and Weapons: “Chroma Key” can create/access a pocket dimension that allows her to change and control the environment to a limited degree within that pocket dimension. Inside, it generally looks white and blank until “Chroma Key” changes it to look like something else. Such as a rain forest in which she can command the plants and animals to attack whatever being she brought with her. To the outside world when this is created, it is an invisible cube/box and anything inside said box is also invisible to the outside world. However, Rode users and sonar can detect it as well as anyone that happens to accidently bump into the box. With enough strength or damage, the box can be destroyed and return anyone inside back to main reality. A Pakari can easily destroy this box in a single blow. Outside of the pocket dimension, “Chroma Key” is an illusionist, able to create images without projecting it into someone’s mind. However, the range of this isn’t great and can only affect a smaller area around her. She can summon Rahi for her pocket dimension to fight with her, however, the most powerful Rahi she can call are regular Manas-tier and they can only remain within the small area as her illusions. The only physical weapon "Chroma Key" has is a simple sword.
Personality: Loyal, “Chroma Key” lacks much of a personality of her own. Though she has been known to be slightly bitter at times and randomly confused as to where she is.
Background: “Chroma Key” was captured by the Dark Hunters at an unknown point in time for and experimented upon. The goal was to find suitable pocket dimensions to keep the more dangerous captives in and also have brainwashed, loyal beings that could access them. The experiment on “Chroma Key” was successful for the most part, minus the confusion she would often suffer at random times. Instead of containment or jailer, “Chroma Key” was generally sent on assassination missions that required minimum damage to the surrounding area. Because of her pocket dimension box, she was often initially paired up with “Absent” to keep him in line. Though he often took advantage of her confusion, leading to both “Absent” and “Chroma Key” to need another Dark Hunter to keep tabs on them. She, “Absent,” and “Ersatz” went on a long mission, which ended once the Matoran Universe was destroyed. After which, she and “Ersatz” eventually found “Absent” and went with several other old Dark Hunters to join the latest iteration of the organization.

Powers and Weapons: “Special” has a similar power to Takadox’s Hypnosis, but creates an aura/field about five feet around himself to manipulate the minds of others. It is, however, much stronger if he’s looking another being in the eyes. He can affect beings at a greater distance by looking them in the eyes, but not as powerful without being in tandem with his field. This field generally causes one of two affects, it can either make “Special” appear to have some mental disorder and make others greatly pity him, or mess with their minds, giving them a temporary, devastating mental disorder. A couple serrated daggers and a hand-saw.
Personality: A violent and impatient manipulator, if “Special” is unable to get his targets to do his bidden out of pity within the first thirty seconds, he ruins their minds and shreds their bodies.
Background: Originally, “Special” was a soldier in the League of Six Kingdoms, where he got his many taste for killing. After the brief war and disbanding of the League, “Special” would go onto join the Dark Hunters, for more “legal” means of killing others. There were attempts to train “Special” to use his powers more strategically and for the long term, but this didn’t end well. After the Matoran Universe had been destroyed, he did attempt retirement as several other Dark Hunters did, but was too restless. After hearing that there was a new Dark Hunters group, “Special” decided to look some of the other restless Dark Hunters to lead them to this new place.
Code name: “Recharge”
Real Name: Unknown
Species: Skidawkie
Gender: Male
Kanohi: Mask of Elemental Energy
Appearance: Like other Skidawkie, but blue and white.
Powers and Weapons: As a Skidawkie, “Recharge” was three powers. The first is his Kanohi power, which allows him to recharge any being’s elemental energy reserves. Unlike the mask which is a one-time use, “Recharge” can use this ability as many times as he wants, as long as he has the energy to do it himself. Although he is unable to absorb or control elemental energies. His Metru-Kanoka power is that of Po-Metru, allow anything he throws or fires to home in on targets. “Recharge’s” third power is his inaccessible element of Lightning, granting great resistance to electricity, higher than a Matoran and Turage, but lower than a Toa. Also has all the other perks and downsides of being a Skidawkie, like better energy senses, but more fragile. “Recharge” has a Rhotuka that upon hitting a target completely empties out their power energies (such as elemental energy) and a brandistock spear.
Personality: A somewhat honest con artist, “Recharge” can be quite cruel and never bluffs. Although he would prefer that the Matoran he uses as bait don’t get killed, if they do, he won’t take it as his fault.
Background: “Recharge” left his home island at an unknown point in time to make a fortune. He would create situations that would require Toa to come and rescue Matoran, and then drain them of their power. Using the dire situation the Matoran are in to blackmail the Toa into given him whatever it was he wanted before he would recharge their power. This caught the attention of the Dark Hunters and they recruited the Skidawkie for a variety of jobs. Generally, they would have make more convincing and dangerous situation to get more out of the Toa. However, with the madness the universe went into and the Toa and Makuta constantly going to war, “Recharge’s” schemes stopped working. So he left for more peaceful areas where Toa weren’t not so busy trying to kill everyone they saw. After the Matoran Universe was destroyed, “Recharge” briefly tried his old schemes in Atero Nui, but quickly learned that this was a bad idea. Encountering “Special” as he wandered the world, he learned of the new Dark Hunters and left with “Special” to join them.
Code name: “Ersatz”
Real Name: Unknown
Species: Unknown
Gender: Male
Kanohi: Unnamed, similar to Faxon.
Appearance: Humanoid, similar to “Mimic” with a dark silver and black color scheme.
Powers and Weapons: “Ersatz” can copy the powers of any being he sees and projects a transparent red energy/aura around himself in the shape of the being. This is his calling card, signifying which being’s powers and abilities he is using. Though like a true knockoff, “Ersatz” can’t replicate another being’s power perfectly, resulting in his versions being weaker. For example, if he were to use “Firewall’s” powers, he could create the deadly fire-plasma wall, but it wouldn’t be at surface star temperatures. Sometimes, this aura is solid; for example, copying Karunax. The red aura would become extremely tough and durable, similar to, but weaker than, Karunax’s armor. As Karunax is also much larger than “Ersatz,” the aura also acts as extended limbs, increasing his range when using larger being’s powers. “Ersatz’s” mask is similar to his own power, as it allows him to use whatever mask power of the being he’s copying. Typically doesn’t carry a weapon as his power will create a weapon if the being he’s copying used one.
Personality: “Ersatz” is like a kid that really idealizes someone and wants to become just like that person. In "Ersatz’s” case, these are murderers, psychopaths, and immoral beings of great power. As such, he violent, merciless, cocky, and tries to hide his emotions somewhat.
Background: “Ersatz” used to be a peaceful being somewhere in the Southern Isles, impressed with the Toa at his home island. However, one day the Dark Hunters came killed all the Toa there. Up until that point, “Ersatz” thought that the Toa were the most powerful beings in the universe and that nothing could beat them. Seeing the mercenaries so easily kill the morally upright heroes changed that mindset and decided he would go and become a part of this great power. After passing a test, “Ersatz” became a member of the Dark Hunters. Although he would take any mission given to him, “Ersatz” preferred mission that would have him kill powerful beings or work for power beings. Because of his vast array of different abilities, he was assigned to team up with “Chroma Key” and “Absent” to keep them in line. After the Matoran Universe was destroyed, he and “Chroma Key” would search for and eventually find “Absent.” Upon learning about the new Dark Hunters, the three would join a couple of other old Dark Hunter to join the new organization.
Code name: “Toll”
Real Name: Unknown
Species: “Lurker’s” Species
Gender: Male
Kanohi: None
Appearance: Similar to Lurker, but with more black and two stinger tails on his arms as well as the three on his back. There is also some kind of cloth bag covering his head, with a monetary/currency symbol on it. This symbol looks different depending on who’s looking at it. There is also a hand bell hanging around his neck.
Powers and Weapons: “Toll” is naturally quick, strong, and can feel no pain. Shadows, darkness, and bad weather are attracted around and to him, making every area he’s in darker and near impossible to see in low-light conditions. The bad weather almost guarantees that there is some storm wherever he goes and increases the chance of lightning striking the area, most likely himself. “Toll” himself is immune to lightning strikes and can channel the electricity through his weapons or target. His voice emits a Fear power that fills most everyone with overwhelming terror. Can instantly learn the location of those in debt, powerful teleportation on par with Botar, and becomes stronger the more debt someone has. “Toll’s” five bladed stingers have Elasticity powers and can stretch quite a ways, has two normal blades on his arms, and sharp claws. The hand bell can manipulate noise at large distances, making targets hear a ringing noise from random objects near them. When they pick it up, the bell will transmit “Toll’s” voice. It can make sounds seem like they’re coming from different directions and makes a great blunt weapon. “Toll” also carries a small variety of traps with him, such as bear traps and trip wires.
Personality: “Toll” used to be an honest hard working soul that thought banishment wasn’t a good enough method of justice. After the changes made to him by the Dark Hunters, “Toll” has become grim and sadistic. Torturing and terrifying his targets before brutally murdering them. He will call and terrify people for free, but actually services requires payment.
Background: “Toll” was once a nice and peaceful being living on the same primitive island as “Lurker.” After “Lurker” murdered someone innocent and was only banished, “Toll” couldn’t get it out of his head that justice wasn’t properly given out. So, he went looking for “Lurker.” Along the way, however, he got framed for something he didn’t do and was forced into work. From this job he learned how to be an accountant, a skill he would later use to join the Dark Hunters when he learned that’s where “Lurker” had gone. “Toll” was a competent treasurer and accountant for the Dark Hunters for quite some time, but soon the other Dark Hunters got tired of him ordering them around to collect debts. So, they ganged up on the poor fellow and changed him into his current state to go get the debtors himself. They would later regret this when he came for them, as they held out some of the loot from their missions. After this, “Toll” would continue keeping track of the treasury and take down debtors. Once the Matoran Universe was destroyed, “Toll” migrated to Spherus Magna. As the Dark Hunters were pretty much disbanded, he just went around killing the last few who owed debts. Recently having learned of the new Dark Hunters, “Toll” has gone to join them.

Vethiel was offered to be Excidia's newest consort, but he had attempted to replace her with Arethiella, despite Arethiella's many attempts to dissuade Vethiel of crossing Excidia. Eventually, annoyed with his persistence, she tipped Excidia off, who then destroyed the rebellion. Each one eventually died, and they are currently on their 9th heir. Powers: Chite'yalos can create fires through his sword. He is capable of creating "Night Rifts", allowing him to open portals to anywhere in the universe, and to the Dark Mantle. He cannot go to other dimensions via Night Rift.
