In a different section of space existed the Makuhero Belt, where a small planet sat in a sea of asteroids. A world filled with robotic life. A relatively peaceful Planet, where its robot citizens live their lives.
The sunshined brightly on this day as it did every other day, but it was soon overcast by shadows. Giant diamond shaped shadows spread across the sky. They were giant spaceship, half marked with red, and half marked with green.
The were the warships of the Excaelin Council of Interplanetary Monarchs, out to reclaim their lost territory. Abored the Capital ship stood two of the Monarchs.
One was Embrasé Mäzu of the Ruby Clan, adorned in the armor of his Clan. The other Gurando Jupitā of the Emrald Clan, who stood a little too proudly.
"Inform the Emperor. We've found another world."

OOC: Feel free to add on to the story.
“No one ever stood atop the heavens before. Not you, or I, or even the gods. But the unbearable vacancy of heavens throne ends now. From now on, I alone will stand at the top.”
OOS: Yeah, I'm a bit lost when it comes to the Excaeli. I could do some stuff from the Heroes' point of view, I guess?
OOC: Well we do need heroes.... TO DESTROY!! MUHHAHAHA!
“No one ever stood atop the heavens before. Not you, or I, or even the gods. But the unbearable vacancy of heavens throne ends now. From now on, I alone will stand at the top.”
Beyond the planet, there lay an orb, hovering silently in the void of space. Within, the dark orchestrator of the Hero Factory's soon-to-pass demise (or at least the being who desperately wished to bring their downfall) glowered through the computer monitors, staring out at the approaching ships.
"So soon? But my calculations....cursed-be-you things from elsewhere...you shall intrude indeed." Aggressively, the black titan, and former hero jabbed a finger at the screen, as if they could hear him. Almost instinctively, his other hand raised above his head, a surprisingly impressive baritone voice roaring out through the station's halls.
"But the conquest of the factory belongs to only one. And his name is..."
The red eyes glowed, a rush of anticipatiory signals flooding the mechanical being's mind as he thundered out into his station, alerting several nearby security drones (who, being used to their master's tirades, ignored him as usual). "....Von Nebula!"
OOC: And Mr. Ness is going for the Adaptational Upgrade.

Onboard the Excaelin ships, a shining, silver Excaelin glided through the ship halls. The (literally) unearthly presence about him does not go unnoticed, though the whispers are a mix of grumbles and whispers. He continued moving, until at last the tall, somewhat thin Excaelin came to a stop at one of the ship's labeled observatory rooms. The tall figure moves through, white cape "whooshing" dramatically in the air as he stops before one of the vast windows.
Beautiful, simply beautiful. He rests a gloved hand against the window, taking in the view from orbit. Though no world is as great to him as the Excaelin homeworld, truly, every planet, even the desert and dead worlds, possess special beauties all their own. All that space, all that life, whether real or artificial, below, waiting to be brought into the glorious embrace of the Excaelin Empire.
A smile, wide and genuine, breaks across the lower half of Pontiff Enzeru Seikatsu's face, the shining, upturned "crown" over the rest of it feeding him the view from a series of built-in micro-cams. He smiles, sighing deeply as he removes his hand from the observatory window, fiddling with the latch of his cape. He speaks, voice silky and smooth as he recites a short prayer of thanks to the First Monarchs above.
"Hail the Monarchs and the First Emperor, for the worlds they have forged for us, their servants, to illuminate."
OOC: And yes, his name is now changed to Enzeru Seikatsu, because Life Angel is better than Pontiff Tuesday (which is what Mardis means in french). I'll update his profile later. Also for L0re, Stampede, I have so far that the religious Excaelins revere a group of original Monarchs and their mythic first emperor, who are stated to have formed from the ruins of a dead universe and rebuilt a new glorious one to be explored and "illuminated". Any thoughts on this, negative or positive?

"Hail Seikatsu." Jupitā said in his usually bored tone. "We have found a most promising world. Level Seven technology. Inferior to own of course. It is almost impressive."

OOC: Kind of reminds me of Warhammer 40k. There's an emperor, who unites mankind by conquering them with super soldiers, genetically modified to be the best they can be and equipped with power armor. They unite the planets of humankind and are propelled into a golden age of technology and prosperity. Then the emperor goes into stasis on a throne, becomes a legend, and now everyone's treating him like a god (10,000 years will do that). They're killing off all the other alien races. And they have a sort of Teutonic Knight-style military.
Come! Come and listen, my friends. Listen as I regale you with the next chapter in the legend of the Bionicle.

Enzeru Seikatsu turns, clasping his hands and smiling at Fobosu as if he'd seen his best friend after a long trip. "Hail Fobosu. The First Emperor's light shines on all of us, Clanborn, Outcast, and cursed alike. We are all of the Monarchs, and we all share the duty of illumination." He cocks his head slightly, turning back to the window and gesturing at both the Monarch and Fobosu. "If I may inquire, what types of beings reside on the world below? If they have such technology, they surely must be beings, inferior or not, of some use. Perhaps they shall be enlightened enough to accept illumination."
His concealed face stares down, some of the softness in it evaporating. His smile never wanes, even as a fragment of steel enters Seikatsu's tone. "It would indeed be a pity, if they were to waste their gifts in futile resistance. A great pity, indeed."

"And that's a third for me, and it's not even been a week since the last breakout." William Furno leaned casually against the Hero Factory-grade prisoner transport, staring with more than a bit of smugness at his companion. The other hero scoffed irritably, waving a hand towards the ruined building the transport sat below. "Yeah. Great job Will. You beat my record, ya stopped Mr. Hunter here," the blue-armored hero cast a glance towards the energy-shielded prisoner door, and the baleful orange eyes within. "And saved the city yet again." The blue hero smirked slightly, giving Furno a knowing smile as he leaned closer. "Pity ya couldn't save the infrastructure of Makuhero as well."
Furno gave an exaggerated frown, turning and pushing a button to open the transport door. "More jobs for the city anyway. I'm sure Stormer'll understand." He paused a moment, turning to stare upward into the bright, blue sky as if compelled by some sixth sense. Surge took a step towards his friend, an expression of concern forming on his robotic visage. "You all right buddy? See something up there?"
Furno stared, and for a moment he thought he almost saw a glint of light far above. "Nah Surge. It's nothing."
William Furno slid into the seat of the prison transport, Surge following suit on the other side. The red Hero paused, taking a final look out the window before shaking his head and taking hold of the wheel.
"Nothing at all."

Hero Factory Prison Bay
William Furno and Mark Surge had just been in the midst of returning Core Hunter to the cell block, when they'd been called up into the Administrative Block by team leader Stormer. Judging from his frown, it wasn't going to be anything good.
"So, Furno." Stormer stood silently, staring down the two rookie heroes with a gaze that could freeze fire. Furno tried his best not to fidget, and stood at attention. "Yes sir?" Stormer sighed once, facing away from the two heroes. "...."
"...you busted up Makuhero City pretty good when you captured Core Hunter today." Furno made to reply, but Stormer held up a hand, shaking his head. "I know, you both caught him and all, and I'm not here to try and take your victory away. All I asking is that in the future...you try to cause less collateral." The senior Hero grimaced. "HF's been receiving a few complaints about damages, and we've dealt with it. Just be wary in the future. Alright?"
Furno gave out a huge internal sigh, saluting in unison with Surge. "Yes, sir, Stormer sir. Any other news that's important today?" The white Hero turned, tapping a few buttons on a nearby console. "Well, we've picked up some signals that indicate Von-"

The sudden, shrieking sound broke through their comms, causing Mark to recoil visibly, though Stormer and Furno stayed still. Slowly, the white Hero raised a hand to activate his own comm. "Yes, Breez, we did. Send out an alert to all avaliable-no, send an all-points alert to all Hero-units period. We need to assemble, try to get a message back, do something to try and dissuade them."
For a moment, the heroes saw a small change go over their team leader. Stormer's tone got harder, and his metallic body tensed noticeably. His hand curled into fists, determination all but radiating from his body.
"And if not, well."

Back at the Hero Factory, the hotline is erupting with calls from across the city and even the planet. Zib's tablet is receiving message after message from the hotline. Normally the "message received" sound being repeated would get on his nerves. But he too had heard the voice. Zib muttered worriedly to himself as he scanned over each message. Quadal beeped at him. "Yes. Everyone on the planet heard it too, it would seem." Zib kept scanning through messages, most of them nearly identical. Quadal beeps and whistles again. "How would I know their motives Quad? I know as much as you do. Everything we know is what we heard just now." Zib stares at his screen for a little. "We need to find out where it came from. When we can find the source, we can find more about these...Excaeli I think he called them." Quadal looks a bit worried now. He rattles off another question for Zib.
"I don't know."
Come! Come and listen, my friends. Listen as I regale you with the next chapter in the legend of the Bionicle.

Planet Surface, Makuhero City
OOC: I suppose this means that Stormer isn't dead in this universe?
OOC: What!?! When did that happen!?! Either way, yes.
“No one ever stood atop the heavens before. Not you, or I, or even the gods. But the unbearable vacancy of heavens throne ends now. From now on, I alone will stand at the top.”
"Umm, did everyone else hear that?" Natalie Breeze said over the comms.
"I am Embrasé Mäzu. Leader of the Clan Ruby. Master of the Eternal Red Fires of Andromada Sigma. Fifth Chair of the Council of Interplanetary Monarchs of the Grand Excaelin Empire. Rejoice! For I am here to bring you our Light! To welcome you into our Empire just as your creators and ancestors were so very long ago. Embrace, and you shall flourish! Resist, and you will be burned away in my cleansing fire! You shall have ten hours to surrender all weapons, or be met by force. You are welcome."
"We're going to have to fight."
"Roger," Breez opened to a full broadcast signal. "This is Breez broadcasting on all channels. We are on red alert, repeat red alert."

OOC: What!?! When did that happen!?! Either way, yes.
OOC: The Immortal Duo did it. Showed us his helmet and everything. "Here's another one who tried to resist," I think Hanah said. "His name was Steston Pormer, or something like that."

OOC: Oh right, chalk that up to alternate universes.

On the far side of the planet, two heroes have their hands to their comms.
"This is Julius Nex, reporting in. I take it that this relates to that alien transmission? What's the word, Nats?" Evo listens quietly, his eyes still scanning the area around them. The two are in a formerly abandoned industrial sector, tracking down a particularly vicious mafia. The trail had led them here, where they suspected the ringleader was hiding. It was a good place to hide, Evo supposed, isolated from civilians and heroes alike by the dangerous nature of the rundown district. A few hidden bribes and threats might have even hidden it from construction crews looking for new places to develop.
And now it seemed that the gang had been given a bit more time. Whatever that transmission had been, it appeared to have HQ on high alert. Zib and the others managing hero deployment were veterans. Most of them had been around since the inception of Hero Factory. They were experienced; jaded, even. Not the kind to issue such an alert lightly. Whatever was going on, it was more important than some pushover mafia-man. Evo waited for Breez's response with cautious patience.
