Karunax's eyes narrow with suspicion. He reaches down, grabs hold of the object, and pulls hard, seeking to uproot it completely from the earth.
The object is rather heavy, but it yields before the mighty strength of Karunax. The light flashes franticallyer.
The door falls open.
Karunax is moderately surprised, and bends down to peer in. Assuming he can't see anything, and considering he can't fit, he opts to grab hold of the door frame. Then he pulls it apart until the screeching sound of tearing metal fills the clearing, making it so that he can fit. He continues to do this as he enters.

He has only entered a short way when he encounters a large steel panel with a single button. When he goes near this, a recording plays. "Why, greetings! I know not what personage has found this, my tomb-but-not-a-tomb, but if you would kindly depress that activation apparatus, I would surely be much in debt to you.

At first, Karunax is taken aback. He's been around the block more than a few times, and he has an abundance of ideas as to what this odd encounter could be. He sides with his better judgment, and leaves the button alone. Instead, he rears his fist back, and prepares to smash the whole console to pieces.

There's a frantic whirring and clicking from the other side, and a humanoid robot, roughly resembling a Glatorian, falls out and swiftly gets to his feet. Vidovit then sprints over to the end of the capsule and peeks out.

"Hey!"
Karunax storms after mechanoid, clamping his massive hand against the back of its neck and lifting it into the air.
"Can you understand me? Explain yourself. What are you? Why are you here? How long have you been here?"

He raises back his fist again, clearly threatening the A.I.

Vidovit puts all the peices he has- and some he doesn't- together with characteristic speed. "I can't possibly be a demon; There are only two of my kind, and the other would not have earned such a name in such a relatively short period. I don't see any evidence of this here being a place of your dominion, and from what I see over there, you could probably use some assistance. To sum up, I will leave if you demand such, but such a demand is not in my best interest and most likely not in yours. "

"Urrrgh... you even talk like them. Like it or not, you're what I call a Demon, and your kind's not welcome on this planet. I don't need your help, and neither does he."
As Karunax gestures to Pain to emphasize the last part of his statement, he briefly looks over at the A.I. to see that he is now standing, though the terrible metallic hum and visible convulsions have not gone away and his hands are still clamped to his head. The Makuta rolls his eyes and stalks over to him, leaving Vidovit behind him. He growls,
"Over your stupid seizure yet? 'Cause we've got things to do, and you're wasting our time."
Pain doesn't respond, and faint mutters of apparent gibberish can be heard among the shrill resonance.

"I certainly don't have the capabilities currently to leave this planet." Vidovit looks over at Pain, even as he comes up with several different psychological profiles for Karunax and assigns them all a likelihood. "...If I may hazard an opinion, I would say your companion's issue is more serious then you think, though I freely admit that I am inexperienced in this matter." Vidovit attempts to scan Pain's molecular structure.

Vidovit attempts to scan Pain's molecular structure.
Pain's molecular structure is off-the-charts erratic, somewhat like a constant, ultra-high voltage electrical current. Even the structure of his form's pitted metal plating is buzzing wildly, and it's a wonder that it hasn't all melted to slag yet.
Karunax ignores Vidovit, and he is about to strike Pain, when the latter's distorted metallic voice finally speaks clearly over the static hum. "Have you ever... have you ever accidentally stared into a mirror, only to be startled by your own exact reflection staring back at you?"
"What are you talking about?? You're acting insane... which I suppose is par for the course." "No... no... nonononononononoooo... not like this... not like this... you don't understand. Either you're too dull, or you just don't care, or both... "
Karunax growls angrily, having run out of patience for this.
"Listen, you glitching scrapheap. Do you want revenge or not? If not, I can leave you here to fester in your self-pity and apparent insanity. But if you would still rather stick to the agreement, then I suggest you shove these clearly maddening thoughts aside, pull your worthless self together, an-... "
Pain whirls around, blue electricity pulsating violently through his form. "No, YOU listen, you arrogant, god-forsaken waste of effort... "
" ... What?!"
" ... This changes everything! I can't stop thinking about it... it's dominating all of my thoughts and I can't stop it!! I thought I was th-... !"
Karunax's fist piledrives into Pain's midsection, blowing his form across the clearing and scattering many of his metal scraps all about. The seething Makuta leaps across the area and lands before Pain, who actually seems to be having a hard time pulling himself back together.
"This is your last warning, Demon. Do not test me. Do not talk down to me. I am Makuta Karunax, the insurmountable Fist of the Brotherhood. You're a wandering alien clinging desperately to a heap of trash. So I will repeat myself once again: pull yourself together, or die alone here as an unfulfilled wretch. Your choice."
Pain makes a distorted whimpering sound, his mangled form failing to reconstruct properly and instead convulsing horribly on the ground, scorching it and the grass into a charred black. Karunax, thoroughly disgusted, turns from the A.I. and starts back towards Vidovit.
Not who I am... not me... I'm not... not who I am... what's the point?? I can't be this... not me... why bother?? Just let go... not worth the effort... not who I am... I'm not... tried so hard... not who I am... not who I am... NOT WHO I AM... so why even bother, if I'm not who I am? Not... what I was sure I was... just let go... give it to them...
Just when Karunax is halfway back to Vidovit, a horrible, piercing metallic screech penetrates the air for a good mile. The Makuta whirls back around to see Pain's body rising from the ground, completely engulfed in sizzling blue vapors, with a vortex of blue electricity jumping wildly all around him. Karunax detects a massive amount of static rising in the air around him, and the scattered scraps of metal fly past him across the area, slamming into place on Pain's fully reconstructed, yet far more jagged and misshapen, form. He speaks with an echoing voice so broken and distorted that it is difficult to understand, though the pieces can be put together.
"My choice: you can be the first to die in agony... 'insurmountable' Fist."

Vidovit glares at Karunax for a splitsecond. "STOP! You can't not be who you are because that is a logical contradiction on the most fundamental logical level! You're -if you are what I think you are- letting your emotions cloud your basically everything! If your AI's a hint as advanced as your physical body then you have to have the capacity to block those off! In the long term it's not a good solution but at this precise point along the axis of time it is...... certainly the most likely to lead towards a positive net outcome for the vast majority of sapient beings that I can account for."

"Stop... talking... you'll be next, stranger... "
Karunax sneers,
"Fine then, waste the deal we agreed upon. Makes no difference to me, anyway!"
He fires laser vision straight into Pain's head, and although the beams sear straight through, it doesn't appear to do anything to harm him. The A.I. responds with a massive surge of blue lightning that smashes into Karunax and sends him soaring back across the clearing, tearing into and through the trees of the forest. Pain bolts after him, leaving behind a powerful wave of static electricity that actually makes it difficult for Vidovit to move properly.

More peicing together of things. "Who are you?"
Pain's rocketing form suddenly falls, colliding with the ground and nearly shattering into the hundreds of metal scraps. He quickly gets back up and whirls to face Vidovit, his movements erratic and twitchy. Clearly the stranger's words have echoed audibly in his head, rather than being drowned in screams and whispers. Perhaps because it is a question he himself wants to know the answer to.
"I... I'm... I don't know... I'm Pain. I don't know... "

well that name can't be doing anything for his psychological condition "Why Pain?"
