”Exactly like one.” Rolvik said. ”Look.” He hit something on his screen and it showed the line of aliens on the other team. Then he pointed at the female Excaeli. ”She looks just like the moon guy.”
IC: Tuhi stares in awe. “What made them? The Great Beings? The body just looks too...streamlined, I guess.”
IC: Terenoa peers over Tuhi's shoulder. "Don't give the Great Beings too much credit, there; designing your people may have been the only thing they did right." Seriac watches the match from an adjacent board, enthralled by the various alien species.

”I think it's armor. You see that thing on her back, the big guy had one too.”
”Hmm. It kind of looks like a breathing tank of some kind.”
”Correct.” Said Kaliva who had been hearing them talking. ”The Excaeli are an ancient but beyond advanced organic species. They cannot breathe same air that we do, so they must have those tanks. The only weakness they couldn't improve upon.”
IC: "What else can you tell us about them?" Terenoa asks, her voice quiet. She's examining the Excaelin competitor closely.

”Not much. They are one of the first sentient species to exists in the universe. They breathe chlorine instead of oxygen. And have spent a million generations weeding out their natural weakness, and even augmenting themselves further with technology the Great Beings would have trouble understanding. There is no way to tell, but rumor states that they're cybernetics are on a cellular level and can be passed down through reproduction. This one, in particular, is extremely powerful. I look forward to seeing her fight.”

IC: Tuhi nods. “Breathing different air,” The idea seems amazing to him. Petram snorts. “Don’t know why everyone’s worried about them invading. What’s the point if they can’t breathe here?” Tuhi points to his back. “They could breathe. They have breathey thingies.” Petram ignores the Matori for now, waving off the idea. It’d be like trying to conquer the ocean just because you had a Kakama.
Come! Come and listen, my friends. Listen as I regale you with the next chapter in the legend of the Bionicle.

IC: Pheore stares at the Excaelin from the other side of the hologram. "As do I."
Terenoa glances up at the Plasma Toa. It was hard to get a read on her. Didn't say much, didn't do much. Was she really just another one of Malvo's weapons? Or was there something else?
Syreio is studying each of the combatants closely, taking notes on any features she can find. She scribbles something down as Kaliva talks about the Excaeli, then goes back to whatever she was doing before.

”Whats more interesting is this alien.” She pulled up Hiroto on her screen. ”How did an alien from a planet millions of light year's away come to possess a Kanohi Mask from our world? The Mask of Time no less.”

Part Five B
Several turns had passed and no one had yet to engage each other. Finally on Tile C8, Ashley Preuwa was residing on the tile when it lit up red. The red light shined across the arena.
”Finally, ” Akaline announced. ”We have our first match! Since Player Telovins fighter was on the tile first, he may choose the venue!”
”I choose, Beach!” Telovin announced.
Ashley watched as the plain grey tile transformed before her eyes. Palm trees began to grow out of the tile floor as it filled with sand and water. Within seconds she was standing in a pristine beach with crystal blue water. ”Whoa.” She said to herself. The water even moved in small waves like a real ocean. Then she remembered that she wasn't alone on this tile. She steeled herself and begun to look around, waiting for her opponent.
”You are a child.” Out from a collection of palm trees came her opponent. One of the bio-mechanical beings from the other team. Blue and gold with a blue aura, the hologram told her her name was Anahera.
”No, ” Ashley said. ”I'm eighteen.” She lowered the visor on her helmet then took a fighting stance, and watched as Anahera did the same.
Akaline made another announcement. ”Our first match! The Angelic Anahera vs the Rookie Ashley Preuwa! Ready! Fight!”
OOC: I'd like to thank Glac for giving Ashley the perfect opponent.

IC: Pheore's eyes seem to glaze over as Kaliva shifts subjects. Terenoa just shrugs uncomfortably. Syreio pulls up the contender in question and examines it closely, silent words leaving her mouth at a rapid pace.

”No, Anahera is a Glatorian from another world that I scouted for this task. All in all, we were curious to see how she would fair in this type of competition. The smaller alien is from a planet very far away near the Dark Space. There planet is very close to the Dark Energy left over from our Demon friends conquest. Dark Dimension Energy seems to have a strange mutagenic effect on her kind.Of Telovin picked her, then she must be strong. But Anahera excels against single opponents. I'd say the outcome of this fight is up in the air.”

IC: A portal briefly opens in the reality (right next to Petram in fact), a cloaked and hooded figure stumbling out and falling onto the "bleachers" with a resounding clang. The hooded person shakes their head, grips it in their hands a moment, and then (shaking their head again), looks up and toward Petram.
Beneath the hood, a dark blue, curved mask stares at him, a single red eye flitting over to the match once before returning to Petram. "Did I miss....anything of...importance?" The figure's muttered voice is familiar, very much so, to Petram, just as the partially obscured face is.
Sylah` looks at the field and the different figures and beings on it, eyes fixing on Ashley Prewua and Akaline. "....what...is that...a Toa and a....animated rodent Rahi?" She looks more than faintly interested at the selection of fighters, the exception of course being the "Rahi" below. Sylah looks over at Petram's screen-device. "Can you remind.....me what's going on?"

IC: Petram nods I’m greeting. “Torok and some other god have a disagreement, so they get a bunch of people together and move them around a grey field divided into squares. When two fighters from opposing sides move into the same square, it turns into some environment or other and they fight. The tiny one is apparently really powerful. An alien from some planet with a lot of dark energy.”

Part Five C
Match 1
Ashley sprinted towards Anahera, swinging her right fist at her. Anahera ducked under the blow and threw her a punch of her own, her aura trailing off of her as she moved like a shadow. Her fist crashed into Ashley's stomach, who doubled over in intense pain.
”You were not prepared for this.” Anahera said as Ashley dropped to one knee with ragged breath.
”Don't...underestimate...me..” Ashley quickly turned around, throwing another a punch. This time Anahera was caught off guard, receiving a gut punch of her own. It didn't hurt her as much, in fact, Ashley's hand was vibrating a little from the impact, but it was enough to make her stumble back.
They ran at each other and entered an exchange of blows. Anahera threw a right hook, but Ashley dodged it and retaliated with a left jab, which Anahera blocked. Ashley then thrust her knee upward, hitting Anahera once again in gut. She stood her ground, and threw her elbow into Ashley's helmet, rattling her. They seemed to be even for moment, but it was quickly becoming obvious that Anahera was overpowering Ashley.
Ashley punched again, but Anahera blocked it. In fact, it seemed that Ashley was landing fewer and fewer blows as their exchange went on. Ashley threw her elbow, but Anahera caught it in her hands, then preceded to kick Ashleys knee out from under her, dropping her back down to one knee.
”Its over.” Anahera said as she stood over her opponent. She reeled back her arm for one last blow, and punched, but it was stopped just inches from Ashley's helmet. ”What the?”
”I told you...” Anahera's first had been caught by one of Ashley's arms, but it wasn't her left or her right. ”Don’t underestimate me.” It was a third arm, growing out of her chest, clutching Anaheras fist. The arm started growing outwards, and soon a shoulder popped out, and then a second head grew out of Ashleys, then another arm which punched Anahera back.
Anahera reeled back as she watched a second Ashley step out of the first. The second one cracked her knuckles and her neck as the first one rose to get her feet. ”One becomes two!” They both said. ”Back home, they take us in our sleep. Inject us with stuff from space, replace our limbs and organs. They turn us into monsters. I won't go down just like that. Two becomes four!”
The two Ashleys began to shake and split into two more. The four Ashleys ran at Anahera, who punched one, only to be tackled to the ground by another one. Pinned down on the sand and shallow water, Anahera was helpless as all four of them beat her. They punched and kicked mercilessly.
Up in the stands, Telovin could be seen laughing joyously at the display as he moved another fighter diagonally. On the other side Torok sat, his face a mask as ever, pun intended, as he moved the Hunter forward.
Anahera was almost helpless as the four Ashleys pummeled her, almost. Her aura shifted to her back, becoming a pair of glowing wings, and with them she pushed herself upwards, throwing the Ashleys from her. With a moment of relief, Anahera shot upward into the air where she knew that Ashley couldn't reach her.
Anahera took a moment to stop, catch her breath, and think. She was best at one-on-one battles, which she expected this all to be. But someone who can make copies of herself caught her off balance. She also wished that she was allowed to use her weapons. Anahera was trying to come up with a strategy, perhaps hiding among the palm trees and taking them out one by one.
Anahera's thoughts were interrupted by something grabbing her by the ankles. ”What!?!” She said in alarm as she looked down to see Ashley grabbing her. ”How!?!”
”Hmm, it's over,” Torok said in the stands.
Anahera looked passed the Ashley holding onto her to see another one holding onto her and another, and another. Anahera couldn't count how many of them there were, grabbing each other up higher and higher into the air like a strange living ladder.
”Its over!” The army of Ashleys yelled as Anahera struggled to get free, but the one grabbing her wouldn't budge. ”I am Legion!” The Ashley ladder began to swing back and forth, picking up momentum, going faster and faster until they started spinning like a giant lasso.
They spun around and around, faster and faster like a living tornado, Utill they were facing the ground, and finally the clone grabbing Anahera let go. The Glatorian was flung as if fired by a giant gun. She hit the tile with tremendous force, the impact exploding out sand, water, and pieces of tile into the air.
The Ashleys began falling, but none of the hit the ground as one by one they disappeared until only the original Ashley remained. She walked slowly and carefully towards the crater she had made in the tile. At the center, Anahera lay splayed out and unmoving, completely unconscious with multiple injuries.
Akaline floated down and lit up Anahera with some kind of scanner. ”And the winner of the first match is, the Rookie Ashley Preuwa!” The tile lit up, a hologram of Telovins symbol appeared over the tile, announcing his victory. Seconds later Anahera was teleported to the bleachers on Toroks side.
”I'm impressed.” Kaliva said.
”I'm not.” Said, Torok. ”Anahera never did very well with multiple opponents. Oh well, lose the battle, win the war and all that. But the next match will go to me.” He finished his sentence with moving the Hunter diagonally, lighting up a second tile.
“No one ever stood atop the heavens before. Not you, or I, or even the gods. But the unbearable vacancy of heavens throne ends now. From now on, I alone will stand at the top.”

IC: "The Rookie is a dumb title," Pheore remarks with little emotion in her voice. She couldn't see why Ashley hadn't started with that trick; why take a beating like that when the fight was in her pocket all along? Unless there was some recoil to it... she would have to watch that silly rodent in future matches.

”But it's accurate. She is little more than a child.”
“No one ever stood atop the heavens before. Not you, or I, or even the gods. But the unbearable vacancy of heavens throne ends now. From now on, I alone will stand at the top.”

IC: "But she's also more than that. Or she should be, if she's really competent enough to be here." Pheore's tone remains as flat as ever. "If your only defining trait is that you're new, then you're also bad."

”Perhaps Telovin simply wishes to test what she is capable of. Or maybe it's a ploy to get our team to underestimate her. We can not know for sure.”
