On the surface, New Atero has reached a new golden age. Technology is booming, society is flourishing, and the city has found a rare time of peace.
Beneath the surface, however, a storm is brewing. Old enemies plot their revenge in the north, an unknown threat looms from across the stars, and more and more foes incur from beyond our reality. Even within New Atero itself tensions are beginning to rise, forced allies turning on one another without an enemy to drive them together. And over the horizon something looms, darker and more horrifying than the rest.
So come one come all to New Atero, a city steeped in the fate of many. Come, and bear witness to the Next Chapter.

So come one come all to New Atero, a city steeped in the fate of many. Come, and bear witness to the Next Chapter.
OOC: Finally.
So it begins.
IC: A Ga-Matoran wanders through the streets of Atero, heading determinedly forward. He looks up and around, eyes flitting to the different passer-bys and citizens roaming around. He sighs, looking down at the tablet in his hands, bound in thin paper and emblazoned with crude black writing across it;
For the Vanguard's Eyes Only
He shrugs, and returns the parcel to his arm. The Toa had paid him well to deliver this, and with further pay promised when he'd brought the Toa, the Matoran saw no harm in doing this. He looks up, finally coming to a stop at the large building. A sign hangs outside, with the word "Xia's 2" marked across it. The Ga-Toran wonders a moment why it's called Xia's 2, and then, shrugging yet again, knocks on the door. "Delivery for the Vanguard!"
Who is inside?
"We're Toa. Nature is our weapon." - Rahzahkea
"You. No matter what spell you were under, this was your doing. Remember that". - K̞͍̗͚̘a̶g̰̥e̳̦̞̝̻̕

IC: The Ga-Matoran stares at the package a moment, and then looks up at the door. "Uh, I think it was all of them sir! Uh...I was told by another Toa to give you this, said it was very important."
IC: Inside Xia's, Rahzahkea looks up from the table he'd been determinedly staring at for about an hour. He looks at the door, and over at Sylah, who is similarly staring at the table...only slumped so as to be burying her face in it. "It appears we have company sister."
Sylah gives a noncomittal grunt by way of response, and Rahzahkea nods sagely. "Very good idea, we should let him in, shouldn't we?" He looks at the door, psychically nudging it open so the Ga-Toran can stare inside the open bar, instead of staring at the closed door.

As always Varo and Salih tend the bar. Salih was cleaning the floor.
“No one ever stood atop the heavens before. Not you, or I, or even the gods. But the unbearable vacancy of heavens throne ends now. From now on, I alone will stand at the top.”

He looks at the note the Toa had given him, scrunching his maskbrows. "...uh, Proticeli? Do any of you know those guys?"

IC: Sylah looks up blearily and stares at Rahzahkea. "'S something happening-?"
Rahzahkea looks at Ticeli in a confused, somewhat offput manner, gesturing to the Matoran.

IC: "I believe our gracious bartender wants you to leave the package on the table," Ticeli says without opening his eyes.
IC: The Ga-Toran rolls his eyes and mutters something about how people never appreciate messengers anymore, dropping the package on a table nearby. "Doesn't matter to me. I get paid either way." He turned, exiting the building still muttering to himself.
Rahzahkea stood, walking over to the table and eying the box. "Ashari...Kay...Lizard...Protoceli?" He looks at Ticeli, and at Salih. "You wouldn't know where Vashari is would you Salih?"

IC: Rahzahkea blinked. "Oh that's right. Huh."
Wonder why I forgot that.
He squinted, mentally recalling Vashari's location and reaching out to him mentally.
Vashari. Where are you?

Vashari. Where are you?
A cloaked figure opens the door and begins to walk towards the counter, but stops halfway through to look at the package. She pulls back her hood, revealing a seemingly old helmet, with some kind of breathing mask welded to the front. Although why they'd would need one so far from the wind-filled deserts is unknown. "Uh, what's with the box?" She asked as she pointed at the package on the table, her voice surprisingly audible and clean through the helmet.

He can't seem to find him, but he can feel the presence of the Marender which would tell him that he was near by.

IC: Ticeli shrugs. "It's obviously very important; that's why they got our names right."
IC: The door opens again, Seriac and Terenoa tromp back in.
"We're back!" Seriac says.
"They know that, Ser. They're not blind." Ignoring her friend, Seriac sits at a table, Terenoa standing at her shoulder.

IC: Sylah sits up now, rising slowly out of her seat and ambling toward the box. She looks up at the cloaked figure and raises a hand in a half-wave. "Hello strange hooded person. How are you doing today?"
Sylah looked down at the box, and shrugged. "I dunno. A weird little Matoran gave it to us. Maybe it's a cake, or a thank-you-for-saving-us gift. Or a bomb, it could be a bomb too."
She looks around at the others.
"Annnnyone want to open it besides me?"

IC: Seriac leans in to get a closer look at it. "So a Matoran came in and gave you a box?"
He squinted, mentally recalling Vashari's location and reaching out to him mentally.
Vashari. Where are you?
He can't seem to find him, but he can feel the presence of the Marender which would tell him that he was near by.
IC: Rahzahkea says something dully, the wording involves responsibility and doom vipers, but the sentence is a bit hard to make out. He looks at the cloaked person and waves a hand distractedly, focusing on trying to pick out Marendar's psi-signature.
"Well it seems Vash' ran off, I'm trying to find him. Hello there new recruits, it's good to see you ali-I mean well. Someone go attend to that box please, I'm a bit-distracted."
Rahzahkea paces in short circles around the room, seeming very focused on his task.
