He can't seem to find him, but he can feel the presence of the Marender which would tell him that he was near by.
IC: Rahzahkea says something dully, the wording involves responsibility and doom vipers, but the sentence is a bit hard to make out. He looks at the cloaked person and waves a hand distractedly, focusing on trying to pick out Marendar's psi-signature.
"Well it seems Vash' ran off, I'm trying to find him. Hello there new recruits, it's good to see you ali-I mean well. Someone go attend to that box please, I'm a bit-distracted."
Rahzahkea paces in short circles around the room, seeming very focused on his task.
IC: Seriac giggles. "We were just around the city; it's not like things are bad out there."
"I don't even know why she insists on patrolling like this," Terenoa says with a sigh.
"We get to see the city! And this way if something does come up, we're already out there." Terenoa shakes her head, though a slight smile does creep onto her face.
IC: Sylah sits up now, rising slowly out of her seat and ambling toward the box. She looks up at the cloaked figure and raises a hand in a half-wave. "Hello strange hooded person. How are you doing today?"
Sylah looked down at the box, and shrugged. "I dunno. A weird little Matoran gave it to us. Maybe it's a cake, or a thank-you-for-saving-us gift. Or a bomb, it could be a bomb too."
She looks around at the others.
"Annnnyone want to open it besides me?"
IC: Seriac leans in to get a closer look at it. "So a Matoran came in and gave you a box?"
IC: To be more accurate, it looks like a tablet of some kind, wrapped in paper. A small note is affixed to it.
To Ashari, Protoceli, Lizard-Girl, and Captain Starblade
It's not the same as the one the Matoran read out, apparently. The object also appears rather sturdy.
Sylah looks at the tablet and huffs, folding her arms and frowning at it. "I am not a lizard girl. Anymore. Whoever wrote this is a bad person who has unfortunate nicknames for us-Captain Starblade? She turns and points at Rahzahkea, face twisted into a grin. "Hey captain! Someone's addressed a...thing to you."
Rahzahkea manages to keep a straight face, and keeps pacing. "Busy finding Vashari, you can handle it. I have faith in all of you!"
He holds out a hand and gives them a thumbs up, walking into a wall and muttering about construction, before turning around and resuming pacing.
"We're Toa. Nature is our weapon." - Rahzahkea
"You. No matter what spell you were under, this was your doing. Remember that". - K̞͍̗͚̘a̶g̰̥e̳̦̞̝̻̕

Smoke rose from behind the counter, as some kind of meat was clearly being burned by someone... Arilam revealed himself, eagerly walking over to the package. "I could open it."
IC: Sylah shrugged.
"If you want to."

"Well, if it's a bomb, I guess I don't have much to lose at this point..." He hesitantly tears it open, examining the contents.

IC: The tablet is a tablet. It's made of some kind of stone material, with a lot of intricate carving and some passable writing on it as well.
Dear sirs and madams
I represent a concerned citizen who wants to help you in your mission to protect and preserve New Atero. If you would kindly hear my plea, I would entreat you to immediately take a group of your best men down to the docks, the ones referred to as Vashari, Ticeli, Rahzahkea, Sylah, and Arilam. I believe they would be most able to help clear up this threat before it can surface and threaten our fair city. To the rest of the Vanguard I would urge vigilance, and to patrol the city exterior for signs of entry, as I believe this same threat may have attempted to breach the walls previously and enter the city covertly. Please, we do not have much time.
Or at least, the messenger who sent this message does not. Please think of his safety and send the five I requested, and he doesn't have to be the first casualty. Send a single other person and there is a chance this threat may not claim the entire docks area as a show of force or something horrid like that. Thank you all for your time and I look forward to helping you soon.

Aside from the lettering, there is an intricately carved mask on the top of the tablet. It's a Felnas. Carved with almost disturbing detail into a shape like a Tryna.
Rahzahkea stops pacing. Sylah seems to tense up, and leans in to look at the tablet.
"My oh my. This isn't suspicious at all," she says drily.

"Nothing good."
His curiosity piqued, Ticeli opens his eyes and sits up. "Oh?"
"Someone going by the name of 'Gray' wants Vashari, Ticeli, Rahzahkea, Sylah, and Arilam to head to the docks and diffuse some unstated problem. Them, and only them."
Ticeli stands up, stretching. "Well, it's been a while since I've crashed a good party." Terenoa raises an eyebrow.

"An unknown sender delivered a tablet asking Vashari, Ticeli, Rahzahkea, Sylah, and Arilam to deal with something at the docks," Terenoa repeats, her tail swishing behind her.

"Pretty much the usual," Seriac says.
IC: Petram frowns. “I smell a trap.” The rest of the Vanguard probably consider this with a grain of sand. Petram’s been smelling traps since Improbus disappeared.
Come! Come and listen, my friends. Listen as I regale you with the next chapter in the legend of the Bionicle.
IC: Rahzahkea redoubles his attempts to psionically reach Vashari. He waves a hand at the others, resuming his pacing. "Look over the note, see if there's anything more to it, and we can discuss countermeasures."
Ticeli hears a voice in his head, Rahzahkea's. How did...Protoceli? Who are we dealing with here?
Sylah glowers at the note and says nothing for a moment. "I'm going."
The Docks, near the HMS Hali
The blue Ga-Toran stands near the ship, looking around suspiciously. There weren't a lot of people here surprisingly, must have been the time of day. He looks around, trying to catch a glimpse of the Toa he'd spoken to earlier.

IC: Are you busy brother? We may have a slightly interesting situation on hand. Someone apparently is trying to arrange a meet with several of our members and them....something like that, whoever wrote this is too flowery for their own good.
Rahzahkea nods sagely, while still pacing. "Does anyone else have an opinion on this note?"

IC: "We've already decided that it's almost definitely a trap," Terenoa says, stepping away from it and thinking. "Those names they used are rather strange, though... do they hold any significance to the five of you?"
"About as much as they do to you," Ticeli drawls. "Nobody should know about that," Ticeli whispers in 'Kea's ear. "If it's a guess, then it's a lucky one."
A nondescript Ta-matoran slips inside the [bar?], sitting near the group and appearing to be quite preoccupied with what he's doing, while he keeps a careful ear out.

He looks at the entrance to the bar and frowns. "A pity none of us followed the messenger. Perhaps he could have helped us a bit...but no matter." Rahzahkea stares outside, frowning.
Not a guess. Only we were on that boat, so it means that they were part of the crew-scratch that, I think they all died...so it's either one of us or some kind of spy? I'm not sure.

"I suppose I'll find Arilam, then?" Ticeli says aloud.
Terenoa scoffs. "You're not actually going out there."
"Of course they are; they're already coming up with some great plan," Seriac says. "Right guys?"
