”I've been north before. I can guide us a good chunk of the way.” He wasn't looking at anyone.
IC: Sansod nods in acknowledgment of Vashari. “If you travel north a day you’ll find the ruins of an Agori village. It was there that the Agori brought their four villages together in unity. It is a holy sight, guarded by a Toa team. They would be honored to host you, I’m sure.”
Sansod then turns to Kirathel. “Deathless is staying here because it’s easier for AEGIS to contain him of he dies, and we have some work to do on keeping him under control. Perhaps when he’s ready he’ll join you.”
"So, uh, not saying I'm not gonna still help out and all, of course, but going by how, uh, well 'new', could I get some info on who exactly these enemies are?" Bio asked, giving an awkward chuckle.
"Patience is key, using your origin power is a crime against our Lords. Fret not, close your eyes, picture what you want to see." A gruff times voice spoke in ones mind, almost as if giving a lesson than a demand.
Sitting in on the roof of a tall building was a cloaked figure. It was almost as if it were a statue with the only form of movement being the brown heavy cloth blowing in the wind. Every so often there was a twitch, the sun gazed on what appeared to be a blue mask however covered by a helm and black visor. Though this visor was shaded, the individual in question could see through it quite perfectly. With it's eyes closed and peering up, one would have the luxury, the only chance it would give them to see this mask. Yet, no one was around save for what was on the city streets but it cared less for their presence.
It was then the individuals blue mask began to glow and a blue aura began to surround it, its palms splayed outward before the two limbs slowly clenched and began to shake, the same blue energy surrounding them as well. The figure in question began to curl it's form with few grunts here and there escaping it. Sparks of blue began to flicker and crackle upon the ground, pebbles being struck apart piece by piece. As this happened a shadow stalked the figure from a distance, moving closer and closer, observing before treading forward.
"Focus," Words echoed, "Focus it into a pinpoint dot, let everything else around you fade to nothing."
Heavy breathing could be heard from the individual as it struggled with whatever it was doing. In front of it, a foot off the ground was a small ball of energy, plasma. Its violent glow, its rapid sparks, the mass of energy slowly but surely built until it was roughly the size of a finger print. That was until all focus broke with the sound of a soft voice. The energy broke and so did the ball of plasma quick to dissipate, the sudden release of the energy causing a solid pop in the ears of those around as the blue energy surrounding the figure quickly vanished.
As soon as the voice was heard the right hand struck outward, grasping hold of a Ga-Matorans throat tightly as the top of the hood came to cover the blue beings face. With a sigh of annoyance and the gasping of the Matoran, the hood turned slightly and a low tone of a man escaped from it, "You better have a good reason-"
"P-Please! My people..." The scenery shifted from the sunny day to the downpour of a midnight storm. An entire city burned brightly with screams and blasterfire, and standing to his full height the no-longer hooded figure grasped the Matoran by her throat, gripping tightly, "What... What have we done to you?!"
The Vagabond, the blue Etorian, one of hundreds of soldiers responsible for the thousands of deaths of both Toa and Matoran. He looked around, confused, unsure as to where he was... unless... This was the sack of Elsyre, a large city that functioned for the United Freedoms group that worked against the High Lords. This night was marked a big victory and a successful first mission for Phase II Etorian Types, little casualties to add. This was many years ago and yet he could feel, even hear the rain as it washed off any fluids, blood most likely, from his long time adversaries.
"Look at me!" The Matoran said, and as he turned his head the soldier saw himself... but it wasn't almost. It was him, but as a Toa, something and someone he's long hated since his creation. Immediately though he woke up from his trance, snapping from his meditation.
In the words of the Vagabonds old squad leader, a General Genma, warned, "Meditating your power is taboo, so much so if you're caught trying to practice it you will be immediately executed. Under my command, you are fine to meditate Only in our quarters! But heed my warning... Meditating for too long, trying to manipulate such power can make you go too far. It'll take you to a place of no return, a place that will change you, mend your mind into something grotesque, it will ultimately break you! Do it sparingly, and do it only for minutes a week."
Recently, only recently, did the soldier have these visions of his past. The atrocities committed the many years under the High Lords, it all linked together however. Even when he went 'too far' it was never this severe, not until he reached this city, New Atero. The soldier didn't know what it was as he finally stood, stretching out his body and began to walk the way off the section of buildings. These visions, dreams or whatever they were didn't frighten him. They only seemed to awaken him from any trance, but each time there was a message he felt... but what was it? Perhaps the souls of those he slew haunted him? Perhaps it was divine intervention... but the soldier threw that aside only concluding that it was a mere freak coincidence, nothing more.
After he made his way down, the robed soldier traveled to the small vacant building he had rented for some time. It had a bed, that was good enough and his weapons were carefully hidden away in there too. Sighing harshly, the soldier stopped in front of the dingy wooden door of his stone house, there wasn't much work here and he certainly was not farmer, no smithy, nothing a regular Matoran could do interested him at all. Walking up the steps, the Vagabond waltzed into the house, closing the door behind him.

IC: Immediately after he closes the door, there’s a knock on it.
IC: Sansod nods in acknowledgment of Vashari. “If you travel north a day you’ll find the ruins of an Agori village. It was there that the Agori brought their four villages together in unity. It is a holy sight, guarded by a Toa team. They would be honored to host you, I’m sure.”

"So, uh, not saying I'm not gonna still help out and all, of course, but going by how, uh, well 'new', could I get some info on who exactly these enemies are?" Bio asked, giving an awkward chuckle.
IC: "Short answer: megalomaniacal Skrall warlord and his cabal of terrorists, murderers, and other unsavory sorts," Lync says. "I can fill you in on the details as we travel."

IC: Sansod shakes his head. “So many. Everything from Vortixx to Skrall. I’ll leave any Vanguardians who opt to take this mission to teach you all about them along the way.” Sansod raises a clenched fist. “They are many, they have a variety of strengths, but none have been blessed my Mara Nui with elemental links. They are no match for Toa!”
Tuhi scuffs the ground with his foot. They might be a bit more than a match for a Matori.
Come! Come and listen, my friends. Listen as I regale you with the next chapter in the legend of the Bionicle.

"Huh. Sounds dangerous enough. And I'm guessing they've got at least a small number of those with... abilities equal, or at least a close enough counter, to a Toa's own abilities, no?" Bio replied, turning, and flashing Sansod a shallow smirk as he gave his question.

"Should you fall too deep, never let your visions blind you. Do not shrug them off either, as there are messages hidden in each one. It is highly advisable you figure that message out, but do not take off, please. You'll be found out and it'll be my a-" The words of General Genma were caught off as a knock of the wood door sounded the room.
Just as he was making his way to the stored Cordak Rifle the Vagabond gave a sigh, pulling it and his sword and parma from underneath a heavy metal table. If it weren't daydreams, it certainly were strangers that bothered the soldier. Especially if they were Toa, but he hid that fact. The day he would have to answer for past crimes would possibly be the day he actually gave up... well, he'd go down fighting, but reformed as he is the Vagabond was anything but a murderous dog... mostly. The orders he carried out years ago still weighed on his mind although he wasn't in control. It was, bit it wasn't his fault.
"Come in." The Vagabond spoke in a low tone, pulling out his rifle and begun to take it apart. Granted the Matoran who repaired the weapon did an excellent job, the Etorian still cleaned it and looked for any 'impurities' on the regular. Almost everyday which seemed excessive, but better to be ready that not, no?

IC: "Skakdi, enhanced Skrall, Vortixx - even Vorox find a way to be deadly, special powers or no," she says, ticking the list off on her fingers as she goes. "Vanguard has safety in numbers - not to mention copious equivalents of high explosives - but it always pays to be on guard. Speaking personally, I'd rather avoid getting caught with our masks off." She adds the last remark dryly, clapping her hands in front of her.

"Toa Bhadra..." The Vagabond said to himself, inspecting the functionality of the three barreled rifle, clearly still deep in thought. After a minute of complete silence, the soldier began to take apart the rifle starting with the barrel, then the stock and scope, careful of each piece and where they go from bolt to screw, clip to spring, and Lord knows what else. Giving a sharp inhale, he caught a small silver piece that nearly rolled through the crack of the table and then actually acknowledged the Toa, though he didn't gave him as the rifle seed more important.
"Nice to meet you," The soldier lied, he wanted to be left alone but... The Toa wouldn't be here of it weren't nothing, "I assume you're here for business purposes?" The Soldiers tone was low and deep but nothing of aggression or spite came out, just clear concentration on both the weapon and Toa.

Ice District, Astronomy Knowledge Tower:
Takua had a sour taste in his mouth as he looked through the high powered telescope. ”It's definitely getting closer.” Luckily they still had a lot of time to prepare, but anything could go wrong. A single miscalculation would be catastrophic.
He clenched his teeth in frustration. ”I guess I've got to bring this to Malvo.” Takua was handy but he could only do so much alone, and this would require everyone to be on board. No matter how they felt about each other.
“No one ever stood atop the heavens before. Not you, or I, or even the gods. But the unbearable vacancy of heavens throne ends now. From now on, I alone will stand at the top.”
IC: Kage's lab was filled with the sounds of work...
His experiments...They were not enough. They were never enough. He needed...more power.
The needed to burn. All of them. Nothing was enough. This was personal. They would regret ever crossing him...
"Their suffering...will bring me the most joy of my life."
The device he was working on suddenly sparked and let out a puff of smoke. He cried out, grabbing it and sending it smashing into the nearby wall. He let out an almost monstrous roar.
His fury. His lust for vengeance. He could not sate it. Not until...
Not until they were before him, begging for mercy as he ends each and every one of their miserable existances.
He grabbed his rifle. He was too furious to work properly. He decided for the first time that day to exit his house.
IC: Shadus awoke, his energy mostly recovered. "Too...long, Karz it."
Despite the doctor's complaints, he stormed out, grabbing his tools on the way out.
He had waited too long. He needed to hunt.
Before he realized where he was going, he was in front of Kage.
Kage was the first to speak. "You should be in bed."
Shadus rolled his eyes. "Good afternoon to you, too."
"Let me guess. You're off to hunt, too."
Shadus nodded. "Yes, but I have no leads."
"I happen to be going to visit my good, dear, 'friends' at AEGIS." He said, rolling his eyes. "Shame they're all Gukko Birds over there."
Shadus shook his head. "Look, drop it. If you have reason to think they might have leads, then I'll go, too."
Kage threw his arms in the air with defeat. "Alright. Fine. Do what you want. Don't care."
Shadus shook his head, but the twins began to walk side-by-side, heading towards the AEGIS headquarters.
IC: "Skakdi, enhanced Skrall, Vortixx - even Vorox find a way to be deadly, special powers or no," she says, ticking the list off on her fingers as she goes. IC: Pheore nods, one hand resting on the hilt of her sword. "You have my swords, of course."
"You bet I'm going north," Lync says, rolling her shoulders as she steps closer to the group. "It's time we reminded Borom who he's dealing with."

More silence followed at clicks and clanks sounded from the weapons inspection. The rifle had three barrels and was as thin as a modern light machine gun, still slimmer and longer than the regular Cordak Blaster. Upon seeing the inspection done, the soldier gave a breath away as he put the weapon back together, so many pieces here and there yet he knew it like the back of his hand. Take care of the gun, and gun takes care of you, that was a good motto from way back when. Two minutes later, halfway finished with the reconstruction of the Cordak Rifle, he said, "Give me a moment and I'll join you then." Signifying accepting the job.
As soon as he put the rifle back together the Vagabond strapped it across his back, he then took his sword and holstered it and strapped his parma to his left forearm. He turned to the Toa still waiting and walked past him, ready to leave whenever possible. That was the main goal, rest, restock, and find work. A hired gun didn't sound bad at all and certainly he wasn't afraid of getting his hands dirty. Rahi were great sport if you look for the right ones, but Toa? Other Bionicle like them? Even better sport, especially when they don't even see it coming.
That was passed the soldier now though, his bloody past left disdain and a scar on his mind but there was... a sudden urge. Something yanked at his conscience to investigate his dream, something that seemed very real yet wasn't there. Shaking his head, the soldier couldn't shake away this feeling so instead he opted to ignore it. It bothered him, but whatever this job was, surely it would take his mind off of the vision... right?

IC: Bhadra leads the way towards the Temple of Light. “Say big fellow,” the Toa comments—Konan is easily twice his weight—as they walk, “I haven’t seen anyone quite like you before. Where do you come from?”

Still without acknowledging anyone, he said. ”I'll prepare the supplies I've been gathering.” He waved dismissively with his left arm, the one currently not in a sling, and started walking off.
“No one ever stood atop the heavens before. Not you, or I, or even the gods. But the unbearable vacancy of heavens throne ends now. From now on, I alone will stand at the top.”
