IC: "Very well," Rahzahkea intones. He slowly rises into the air, levitating until he has passed over the courtyard and into the ship's passenger bay. The Toa finally comes to a stop at one of the seats, sitting quietly and looking around the interior of the craft.
Kirathel watches the rest of the Toa, and after a beat makes a dramatic huff and follows Rahzahkea into the craft. She sits as far away as possible for him, and the two proceed to quietly stare daggers at each other while they wait for the others to follow inside.
IC: Lync, who happen to be sitting next to Kirathel, leans over conspiratorially. "I know that you two have... 'history', let's call it, but I really can't tell whether you two love each other or hate each other. Maybe a bit of both?" She shrugs.
IC: Rahzahkea continues staring off into space, the only indication he's even alive the faint glow of his heartlight in his chest. He doesn't seem to overhear or care.
Kirathel glances at Lync, expression struggling between practiced neutrality and something far less pleasant. "...we have a long history of trying to kill each other, yes. As dear and near to my black, bottomless crater of a heart he might be, there's only one person I truly love."
From the corner of her eye she glances at Bio suspiciously.

"Sounds like standard Voidal behaviour," Bio commented, crossing his arms behind his head, and leaning back in his chair.
"A constant cycle of murder. Both attempted, and successful. Alliances be fracked. Big difference though at least is your mention of loving another beyond yourself... unless that's actually who said person is." He continued, flashing her a smirk.
"All in all, still another point towards you and yours' similarities to 'em."

The Vagabond allowed the stream to take him where he needed to go. Suffice to say it made him uneasy, some force carrying him. It wasn't like dropping from an aircraft or being fired out of a cannon, but of this was their way of transport so be it.

IC: “If I hear another word out of either of you,” Kinaki grunts, staring at the opposite side of the Kane-Ra, “I will take my hammer and drive you into the dirt like a nail. You two have been at each other’s throats for the whole two weeks you’ve known each other, and I will not tolerate it when we are up north and I cannot go elsewhere to get away from it.”
Come! Come and listen, my friends. Listen as I regale you with the next chapter in the legend of the Bionicle.

”Second.”
“No one ever stood atop the heavens before. Not you, or I, or even the gods. But the unbearable vacancy of heavens throne ends now. From now on, I alone will stand at the top.”
AEGIS Command Center, Post-Timeskip Day 7 of New Project
IC: A synthetic timer buzzed the Director into wakefulness. His eyes slid open, blinking against the harsh light of the sleep pod.
"Prophet," he muttered aloud. A chime sounded from outside the pod, a tinny voice speaking immediately after. "Good morning Director. You requested your itinerary be updated for this day, to account for the meeting with the other division leaders. You have 17 new updates-"
"Thank you Prophet," the Director said, pressing a slight protrusion in the pod to open the door. The pod hummed and slid open, allowing him to slip out and into the outside world.
The AEGIS personal quarters were never very opulent to begin with, and the Director's were nothing if not the exemplar of that. A single room, with the sleep pod and several screens linked to the wall (tying the Prophet system into it), a slide-open door, and a trinity of lightstones linked to the ceiling. The only "extravagant" thing the Director allowed himself was the small armory rack affixed to the left side of the room. Exactly three personal defensive weapons were stored there, two boxy guns and a single darkly-colored glove-like object.
The Director crossed the room in a half-step, removing the "glove" from the rack and attaching it to his right hand. It was routine by now, but he'd learned safety should never be taken for granted.
Even here, in the heart of their operation.
He exited the room, walking down a series of halls as he headed for the command room. A number of operatives were already awake and about their tasks (patrolling, assisting technicians or science personnel, or heading for any of recharging areas), a few pausing to salute as he walked by. The Director passed without acknowledgement, his thoughts solely on the day ahead.
Day Seven of the Renewal Initiative, he pondered.
How time flies.
***
After the incident at the wastes village with the Vanguard and the newly christened "Tower-Instance ALEPH-005", AEGIS had had time to consider their position.
The loss of the operatives to TI ALEPH-005, the losses inflicted by the other unit (a Toa affiliated with terrorist elements in the Wastes, designated as Local National GT-025), in conjunction with the malfunction of their newly-made Seraph unit, were only the catalyst for a new reform plan. There had been some resistance at first, but the second attack, by a group of other terrorist elements against one of their protectorate villages, had further silenced that resistance as well.
Things were changing, and it was decided that AEGIS must change with them.
The first order of business was cleaning up loose ends. While the Vortixx Frost had indeed provided them with new machinery, his obvious agenda had made him a rogue element. A rogue element in the heart of the AEGIS operation.
Still, otherworlders (while not a rarity nowadays) still could be useful. A secret vote was held, and passed.
Two minutes later, a four-man team of Kraahu units had surrounded Frost's working room and gassed both it and the four surrounding sectors full of stun gas. Frost had, to his credit, built a breathing device to withstand the efforts of the gas.
This unfortunately forced the Kraahu to be more physical than anticipated.
Five minutes later the four heavily damaged units placed Frost in one of the newly-made Stasis Balls. With Weakening Kanoka devices fixed to the outside to further limit strength, Frost was deemed appropriately not-a-threat.
The E-MEG and the other robots...
...had been another story entirely.
With the vanishing of its "friend", the machine had accurately deduced that AEGIS was likely to neutralize it next. The E-MEG acted, turning every last one of the machines against the organization and broadcasting demands for a ceasefire and return of Frost from every transmitting device in the facility.
Fortunately, AEGIS had not been wholly unprepared for this either.
They had been producing backup machines since the first of the droids were created, ones unconnected from the E-MEG's control and insulated to resist its prying code. With the Prophet's own barely-acceptable resistance capabilities, AEGIS agents and E-12's (the operational name for the backup drones) fought room to room against the E-MEG and its allies. Casualties were taken, lives were (temporarily) lost, and the day's fighting had been long.
Then the Director approved use of Fireteam HARBINGER.
The E-MEG ceased transmitting approximately two minutes after HARBINGER was dispatched to its location. The AI's core was retrieved after "sleep" commands were transmitted to HARBINGER, and both units had been reacquired; E-MEG's core was placed in a modified (and de-limbed) robot unit, which was in turn placed in another sleep sphere.
HARBINGER had been returned to the lower vaults, and nothing was spoken over it.
The final problem was isolating the temporal entity they had detected much earlier, the one the other visitor had referred to as "Eschaton".
Fireteam HARBINGER had been dispatched after some more deliberation.
Two minutes later it had returned.
Video logs from the encounter later revealed the Fireteam had succeeded in meeting with and directly combating the entity; even managing to utilize the anti-Olmak technolgy developed on it. While HARBINGER did not return with Eschaton dead or in tow, the AEGIS command staff had decided to return the unit to the lower vaults, and assign a handful of Matoran and Toa to the "Eschaton Unit", armed with temporal and anti-Olmak devices to combat it should it return.
The real work began soon after.
For the entire week leading up to this day, at least two sectors of the base had been working on producing an appropriate amount of E-12's, as well as support IFV and ballistic devices. Another sector had worked on hollowing out several miles of underground space and laying out bare-bones building material. The E-12 divisions and their support were to be stored here upon completion.
The fourth sector had been assigned twenty Toa operatives, and forty-five Matori engineers and technicians. A day later, they had piled into five IFVs and headed toward the Jungle, to set up the secondary facility.
The fifth sector had worked nonstop to create more advanced versions of the Stasis Balls, and carefully transported all anomalous subjects into them. A few more dangerous ones they'd just built larger stasis balls around, or shrunken to fit them. No breakout incidents had occurred.
The sixth and final sector had begun work on the VANGUARD-Class Suva devices, using the same technology the E-MEG had once used to create their sub-orbital spy devices. Only one of the prototypes had been deemed ready for launch, and after a twelve minute test flight, had been recalled to the base.
At the sixth day the reports had been written up and sent to the Director himself.
It was now, the seventh day, that the Director was reading them.
It took approximately an hour for him to finish the last one, and close the file as he leaned back in his command chair.
If he had possessed the emotional capacity, Terminus may even have smiled.
OOC: And now you can't say I'm doing this completely out of nowhere.
"We're Toa. Nature is our weapon." - Rahzahkea
"You. No matter what spell you were under, this was your doing. Remember that". - K̞͍̗͚̘a̶g̰̥e̳̦̞̝̻̕

IC: Kirathel doesn't say anything, preferring to sarcastically mouth along to both of them talking for a few minutes. She stops and length and leers in Bio's general direction. "I'm only here to make secure my investment. So long as none of you charming people don't die horribly embarrassing deaths to random bandits, I'll be satisfied."
She glowers in Bio's direction, arms folding over her chest in a remarkably petulant gesture. "You're too temporarily important at this specific moment in time, for my specific purposes, to be wasted in death."
Rahzahkea laughs a vacant laugh, but falls silent without saying anything else.

"Grim, greedy, and quite callous." Bio commented, listing off on his fingers as he did, before saying "Bravo. You've just given an exact display of standard Voidal emotional traits." In reply.
"So I mean, can you blame me for not getting along with 'em? My norm is basically dealing with others exactly like this, so sue me for being a touch disappointed when it turns out the new species that's pretty much their match isn't actually much different." He continued, side-eyeing Kinaki before slumping further into his seat with a tired sigh.

IC: Lync rolls her eyes. "You also just described every villain this side of the sun. You're the first one of these 'Voidals' we've met, but not the first interdimensional misfit to get stuck here. You'll tire yourself out less if you get used to it."

"I am. That's the thing. Now just imagine how tired I'd be if I wasn't." Bio replied, casting Lync an unimpressed glance, and raised brow.
"Also, while yes, said emotional traits can technically also be attributed to most villains, villains don't often make up a large percentage of a species populace. Whereas with mine, they so far appear to make up literally the entirety of it beyond myself."
IC: "Your words are noted...and appreciated." Shadus said, glaring angrily at Kage.
Kage shrugged. "What? Just speaking facts."
Shadus continued to glare daggers at his sassy counterpart. "You're not helping anything...at all."
He followed the Skakdi, thanking them for their time.
Kage followed close behind, eyeing the AEGIS members cautiously.
IC: The two Skakdi do not reply, or even really acknowledge the two Vanguardians at all. They walk in silence with them, up many flights of stairs for what feels like an hour.
At last, they stop, at a door marked with an abnormally high number and a black triangular symbol. The first Skakdi says in a simple voice; "We're here."
He gently pushes open the door and slips inside, his counterpart pausing to hold the door for Shadus and Kage.
IC: Shadus nodded. "My thanks." He said, walking through the door, with his less than grateful counterpart following in suit. They took a good look around the room they entered.
IC: Lync rolls her eyes. "You also just described every villain this side of the sun. You're the first one of these 'Voidals' we've met, but not the first interdimensional misfit to get stuck here. You'll tire yourself out less if you get used to it."

He pushed the crates into the transport, then climbed in himself, sitting on the floor between them. ”Heres an idea. Let's be quiet until we're in the air.”
“No one ever stood atop the heavens before. Not you, or I, or even the gods. But the unbearable vacancy of heavens throne ends now. From now on, I alone will stand at the top.”

IC: "See, you're an exception," she retorts, gesturing towards him with frustration. "If you're an exception, there can be other exceptions. And that's assuming that she even is a member of your species, which she claims to not be and you haven't provided any real evidence for."
"That's enough," Pheore says, stepping onto the transport. "Bio-Venture, if you have a concern you may bring it up with Kinaki or myself. Otherwise I will make no attempt to stop him from behaving as promised if you continue to press the subject." She turns, leaning into the cockpit. "We're ready to depart."
The doors swing shut, and with a jolt the Kane-Ra is lifting off. Pheore takes a seat at the head of the group, Seriac waves goodbye from the ground below, and the Vanguard are off.

"That's why I'm disappointed about all the similarities." He continued, before saying, "Though I can't say it's all that unexpected anyways." With a shrug.

”The idea was that I provided a very loud distraction with these.” He help up a finger and the red sphere appeared floating at the tip. ”While someone else sneaks in the enemy encampment and places these.” With his other hand tapped the crates. ”In this instance, Plan B becomes Plan A.”

IC: Lync looks between the others. "We're planning explosions for a scouting mission? I think the point is to gather information, not destroy whatever we find. I like the distraction idea though, that could work..." She stares off into space intensely, turning over ideas in her head.
