IC: "I concur," Doxthu exclaims, going to back dragging the rest of the tortoise's corpse on the rock. "And as our first exercise in unity, working.. upon.. this... rock.." he states with shallow breath as he exerts himself physically.
IC: Syrhen glowers at Resh before hopping over next to Doxthu, digging her claws in and helping him pull the tortoise out.
IC: Resh reluctantly ambles over and lends his strength to the pair, to help them settle the tortoise on better ground. "Ach, this thing-what are you even using it for Doxthu? Gonna carve it into edible bits or something?"
IC: Irusí rejoins the others, quickly scanning over their position. "Oh, good, looks like everyone made it through okay. Resh, can you fly ahead and help Teveren and Doxthu? We're heading to the wide rock down there, the rest of us will be down in a minute."
IC: Faxova scampers behind Irusi like a very anxious shadow. "No one's dead, good, good," she mumbles more to herself than anyone else. "Anyone injured at all?"
IC: Irusí watches the others go. "Seems no one is worse for wear." She turns to Onduc as she begins to climb down after the others. "How are you holding up?"

The Onu-Matoran gives a weak smile. "I've had a few frights, but I count myself lucky. I'm here and I'm alright; the same can't be said for some of our Bohrok friends." He cocks his head and glances towards Syrhen. "I can't say I was expecting to find anyone down here."

IC: With a heave, Doxthu is able to get the tortoise into a position where he can safely start his procedure, thanks to help of Syrhen and Resh. He takes of his backpack, grabbing form it various sorts of medical utensils and chemical equipment.
"Oh, the already damaged and squished flesh that I can't make use of I and definitely make into nourishment," Doxthu says with an uncomfortably long grin on his face. "Although since the some of its legs are still intact, I believe that I can make oh so much use out of them."
He takes his scalpel, has starts to open up the tortoise's chest, "Say, how does an excavation crane or possibly a diving suit sound to you?

IC: Resh fans his mask and squints-but as Doxthu talks a slight grin forms on his face. "Diving eh?" He glances toward the waters off the platform. "Aye, if you can make one out of that thing I'll take it. Not like we aren't gonna have to go underwater to scavenge anyways. May as well get something worthwhile out of this." He waves to the corpse.

IC: Faxova pokes her head out from behind Irusi and glares at the distant figure. "We'll need to watch them closely. We don't know how long they've been here, what's happened to them-they could be ill, or pretending to be normal, or-" She falls silent abruptly and stays that way.

IC: The task done, Syrhen slinks off to a nearby rock. She perches atop it, tail flicking idly as she watches the swamp around them.

IC: "I don't think she means us any harm," Teveren suddenly pipes up, from where she sits inspecting the Bohrok. "Too bold in showing herself for malice, too irritable for someone trying to infiltrate us, no?"

IC: Doxthu pries open the chest of the tortoise, taking his tools to poke and prod at the muscles and nervous tissue within, trying to find what connects to what and how to control it.
"In the optimal case dear brother, yes, diving is possible. Even if I can't do that with this specimen, making do with but biological matter that I have is my specialty."
As he is messing with one strand of inner flesh, one of the legs of the tortoise spasms out as he finds the necessary nerves. Doxthu can hardly contain his excited giggle at this development.
Oh the joys of role playing and writing, lots of writing, and having terrible spelling.

IC: “Syrhen, I think,” Teveren replies, before immediately getting distracted by one of the Bohrok mutants. “Ooh, how did your shell hold up? Are they more fragile post-mutation?”
Come! Come and listen, my friends. Listen as I regale you with the next chapter in the legend of the Bionicle.

IC: "Syrhen," Irusí repeats absentmindedly. "Well, don't stay out here with the Bohrok too long; we'll need to start planning soon." She starts moving, pauses awkwardly by one of the Bohrok, pats it tentatively on the head, and starts hopping across the rocks to join the others at camp.

"Can't do what?" she asks, trying to follow the conversation. Her face furrows in confusion, and she leans over to get a better look. It only takes a moment for her to back off, shivering in disgust and horror. "Well, whatever it is, I'm glad you're finding something useful out of this." She tries a thin smile.

Onduc followed on her heels, eager to join with the others - safety in numbers, after all. Upon catching sight of the tortoise's corpse twitching from Doxthu procedure, though, he immediately spins to face the other way. Had he a stomach, he probably wouldn't have been able to keep its contents. "That's why my field of expertise is geology," he joked weakly to Irusi. "Rocks don't bleed."

IC: Resh sits down with a clunk beside Doxthu and watches his kin work. It's hideous unsanitary, gory, and turns his stomach more than a little bit. But the way he works, the genuine joy in the mutant Matoran's eyes...it's infectious. Soon Resh is grinning almost as wide as he is, drumming his fingers against his knees and trying to follow the process as best he can. "Heheheh. How'd you ever get to learning how to make stuff out of chaff like this? Can't imagine the forgers up there let you come in with a barrel full of corpses to practice on."
*
Faxova shivers and walks past the Bohrok (poorly suppressing another shudder upon looking at them) and starts hopping across rocks (very, very carefully) to follow Irusi. She gets there just in time to see what Doxthu is doing, and winces tangibly before looking at a patch of ground a few feet away. "I'm glad you are all...ok? And you found...someone?"
She looks quickly at Syrhen and then at the others. "Rocks are nice. I used to have a collection of shiny ones from one of my Po-Matoran friends. I think they're still in my house, up-"
She gestures above them. "-up there."

IC: Resh earns a grimace from Irusí. "Yeah, uh, barrels full of corpses are generally frowned upon. I would kindly ask that you didn't." She tries another thin smile, before her hand falls on the power mace she had picked up earlier. She pulls it out, holding it high for everyone to see. "Oh, by the way, I found this during the fight. Did someone drop it?"
