A Maxilios unit arrives at the tower. It enters and begins ascending to the higher levels.
There is no tower. It was destroyed quite some time ago. In fact, most of this area is covered in EP. If the robot attempts to go through, it will be taken.

Where would the Order base be then?
It's currently in a pocket dimension. The Dimension of Light. All other bases have been destroyed or compromised.

Far off from the canyon that EP has taken over, Kaatonga enters a cave opening and sets Karunax down on a stone slab.
"Huh. Karunax, you're much heavier than you look. Now to just call a friend that can take care of this...."
Kaatonga then presses something on her translator device, sending out her thoughts to Veihrl. In a flash, Veihrl arrives at the entrance and comes in. She stares at Kaatonga for a quick second, surprised at the change, gives a nod and actives her mask. Its power restores Karunax's armor and body back to its proper state and it does what it can to fix Karunax's mind, albeit with the bringing of more moral righteousness to the forefront if possible.
"Thanks Veihrl, I wasn't trained to repair such damage."
"...My friend, One at War with the World, what has changed? What Great Cataclysmic Event has led you, oh Trumpeter of the Sounds of War, to leave Servitude of Mata Nui?"
"Come on, of all people you should understand. Mata Nui is dead and he's not coming back. There is only one will left to follow, mine."
"I, Keeper of the Code, have not heard from the Designer of Fantastic and Amazing Things in years. Yet that does not grant pardon-ship to Duty, to Destiny."
"And I'm do--"
"Forgive the interruption, but is that the Student of Time's Shell?"
"It's just his Rahi double." Veihrl gives Kaatonga a concerned, but stern look, like a parent worried about their grown-up child's decisions. "Everything will be fine. When I'm done, the evil that I've seen will finally be destroyed."
Veihrl sighs and heads starts to leave. "Loss of self, loss of purpose. That is the worst Destiny anyone can give themselves. Be careful, such Narrow Paths are easy to lose." And the Toa vanishes in a flash, just as quickly as she came.
"I won't, they'll just be dead. Once evil is destroyed, good can finally rest..."

Kaatonga sits cross legged in the cave, mediating. Her eyes are closed, but the hot fumes from the flames in her eyes leak out, looking like invisible steam that is only noticeable by the wave effect it gives to the objects behind it. Closed, but she still sees and can never stop seeing. Evil...the corrupt, the immoral, the tempters, she can see them all and she burns within, wanting to kill every last one of them. Meditation, it can keep her calm for a time, it can help her focus. Funny, those that knew what her eye piece allowed her to see thought that was the only thing allowing her to determine evil and good. For a time, she thought that herself.
Scadion, even he wasn't immune to this sight. She always saw him for what he was, a monster. Though, many members of the Order of Mata Nui were just that. Assassins, mind wipers, spies, conflict starters; morality wasn't the most sought out quality among them. Kahagah, Scadion, others...they weren't frilled of her disobeying orders if the target was good. Nor her tendencies to abandon missions to help those being invaded by evil doers. Especially if the odds were not in her favor; what they called recklessness she considered determination. Only Veihrl urged her to keep the eye piece, to truly distinguished the difference between good and evil.
But the eye piece was merely a microscope; something that limited and focus her sight on the smaller picture. Also like a microscope, it would allow others to see only a small fraction of the world she sees. She wore it for such a long time, she had forgotten it was as much an inhibitor as a tool. Her vision is so much wider than the rest of them.
She survived the Visorak, but not unscathed. She survived the Order, but not unscathed. She will win the war, but evil will not remain unscathed. It will understand the fire that consumes her heart, mind, spirit, and strength. For she cannot unseen, she cannot stop seeing, and she won't hold back ever again.

Kaatonga opens her eyes, the white flames flicker much more furiously than before. She sees that Karunax is still in the same state as he was before and sighs a little.
"I can't wait any longer. If you ever wake up Karunax, please don't break anything here."
"Yes and I haven't killed him for.....complicated reasons."
"Alright then, is he just knocked out or..."
"I don't know. As far as I can tell, he's perfectly fine, but is still not there."
"Just jump start him. Hhhmm, what poison would wake up a Makuta?" Entrupia says aloud. "Or maybe you can use those flame things in your eyes. What is that anyways?"
"I'll show you. Agegis, stand over there and don't put up a shield."
Agegis walks over to the spot and starts to open his mouth to ask a question. Kaatonga quickly crushes his chance to ask with a simple, "You'll be fine," and sends a fully on blast of white flames at Agegis. He braces himself, but it passes through him harmlessly. The white flames stop pouring over Agegis and then Kaatonga sends a tiny ember into Entrupia. She screams for a quick second before collapsing unconscious, her body writhing from the injuries.
"It's something similar that a friend of mine can do. She can harness her own moral light as a weapon to burn away at evil. Her's is an arrow, mine is a Hagah Plasma Cannon at its weakest."
"So, it destroys evil?" Cozren asks.
"You can say that."

A tiny glint of focus returns to Karunax's blank, widely-open eyes.
Overcome... and stolen and lost...
With a barely manageable amount of immense effort, he forces his eyes to look down at his body. There did not appear to be anything wrong with his form, so why was he still in so much pain?
Hurts to think... need to... move...
He attempts to command his arm to bend, so as to prop himself up from his lying position. A searing javelin of agony envelops his entire arm, and he immediately stops trying. What can I... ? I can only remember this pain... pain and... and terror... for so long... so long...
He thinks harder, causing himself all the more suffering. Gasping furiously through the simple action of thought, he can only draw a few details from an otherwise completely blank slate: He had been trapped, and his mind and body were tormented for eons by an unknowable power. He was once something formidable... but what exactly? Whatever it could have been, it was all forcefully wrung from his tortured soul by a soulless entity. Whatever he is... whatever he used to be... it's all gone. Nothing remains except the insufferable knowledge that everything he used to be was effortlessly taken from him without struggle. Even his name is gone.
He tries to move again, but the agony does not subside. He has no strength, no identity, and no purpose. The Composer took it all away in an instant.

Though motionless, last remaining Maxilos Robots aren't turned off. They notice these small movements that Karunax makes and sends a message to Kaatonga. In a few seconds, Kaatonga and her task force returns to the cave. Someone is saying, "at?" as they appear and Kaatonga, still baring her weapons, runs over to the Makuta. She looks at him and doesn't see much life, but her guards would never send a message without reason.

"Karunax, are you awake?"
Karunax lurches at Kaatonga's approach, apparently startled, and his entire body is overwhelmed by pain. He forces his neck to twist in her direction so that he may see her clearly, which triggers more searing agony. His eyes are wide, and although his stare appears almost blank, Kaatonga can clearly see one thing filling them entirely:

Fear.
He tries to speak.
"P-pluh... pluuuuh... pluh... pluuuhzzz... "
This was not right. That is not the Karunax she knew. Makuta rarely showed fear and out of all the Makuta, Karunax was the most fearless. This....this only made Kaatonga want to kill him more, to kill him now. When ever evil finally shows weakness, when it finally shows that it is afraid, that is when evil's end is at hand. But....even if Karunax did show fear to signal his end, it wouldn't be like this--at all. It would be small, tiny, something you could easily miss, not this easily spotted terror that fills him now.
Such fear, just from the sight of her. A titan, heavily armored, that glows and burns like the bright sun. Eyes that aren't seen, but felt by the white flames that pour out of them, which somehow even overpower the intensity of the armor. Those white flames, how its flickering prowled like a ferocious beast, waiting for when it will be released and devour its enemies. Then there is her weapon, of which the pole alone is taller than even her by a foot at least. Though the actual weapon piece on the pole is quite a strange contraption. It appears to be that of a Vortixx Rhotuka Battle Axe as it has the double sided axe head, the fans, Rhotuka launchers and so on, but there also appears to be elements of Twin-Bladed Black Fire Sword in there was well. Another difference is that jutting out of the top of pole and axe head is what appears to be the explosive drill-spear head of a Devastator lance, of which the pole itself seems to resemble that lance weapon as well. And then there is her massive shield, which looks almost like it could be used as extremely heavy door to a giant castle. To the innocent, this is to inspire hope. To evil, this should make them terrified, but evil is not so easily scared.
But, Karunax is terrified. She sees more fear in him than all the fear she has every seen put together. So, for now, she puts her weapons against a wall away from Karunax and tells her task force to wait outside. Once they leave, she shushes Karunax, telling him to be quiet.

Definitely not the Karunax she knew, he would be insulted if she killed him. She would kill him, she wants to kill him, she can't stand suffering like this. But, that emerald being's words are still on her mind and she doesn't want to end up like him. Visorak, those filthy demons, were bad enough. They seem to attack at random left on their own; they'll take what they want, and they don't care whose life the change, alter, destroy in the process. To Kaatonga, the being that did this to Karunax was far worse than any horde of Visorak. All the Visorak in existence from all existences combined could not match this life twister's sinister evil....But she never let the Visorak or Makuta control her, she always defied them. Always trying to prevent what happened to her from happening to anyone else. If someone has to bear this curse, then there is no-one more prepared to resist and counter a life twister's venom than herself.
Kaatonga looks at Karunax for one last time, and then the eager flames jumped from her eyes, finally putting the juggernaut to rest.

And so, it is done. Although his body cannot get any more limp than it already is, Karunax's terrified expression remains frozen onto his face.
A long moment of silence passes, in which Kaatonga might have begun to either leave on her own or take the Makuta's body away from the cave. Whichever action she takes, it is interrupted by a cold, metallic voice... coming from Karunax's own unmoving mouth.
"Intriguing, is it not? The decisions and actions of traumatized individuals. Poor Karunax suffered for billions of years, with every passing day marking a little death to his being, all within a few seconds of proper time. I am impressed that he managed to remember how to speak. Still, he had an entire blank slate with which to write a new story for himself.
But you. You could not bear to see him in such a state. Tell me... was it pity for his sorry condition... or was it malice? Revenge taken upon a previously terrible and unforgivable enemy? Such that you would deny him a chance to begin anew? I am curious to know. Curious to know what would cause you to put reborn innocence to death."

"Both. When I started my plans of war, I knew sooner or later I would have to take out Karunax. Kill him for all the harm he has done to the Matoran, the Toa, the Order, to me. Under normal circumstances, I would have just killed him without doubt. He was an evil that needed to be destroyed. But I am a mercy killer, I do not wish to make my enemies suffer, only to stop them from causing more suffering. A quick death is all that is needed; the faster they die, the quicker everyone else can heal. You put him in a condition of suffering more than I have ever seen, something to Mata Nui I pray never has to come on anyone else. He didn't deserve such pain. I didn't know how to help him any further. If my friend, one of the greatest healers in this world, could not help him, what else could? I saw death as his only answer, his only release."
