This thread is gonna be used for discussion about the RP forum in general. So to start off discussion, maybe we should discuss a set of rules for the forum?
If I may begin by proposing an overarching Protorule, as it were: "The rules are subject to change." As I've encountered often, rules set in stone are subject to loopholes. The rules should be changed to cover these loopholes, and I believe that rules should also be able to be revoked by popular vote — with good reason.
Aside from this, I would also like to propose my "definition of OP" from the original rules discussion topic's first post as a template to work off, if not the final result.
I feel like an issue I had was when the rules changed, nobody was informed.
Also, as for the second matter, I object. It completely distorts the Gravity element as a whole, let alone a Makuta who already has limited use of it. Also I feel like you people are getting OP mixed up with Unbeatable. OP is simply "too many powers", and I feel like the definition is rather...dampening. Sure it prevents pancaking, but it pretty much is more of a con than a pro...just my two cents.
Also, our community's mature enough to not go all "SUPER SAYIAN 52!!!!" On everyone else.
Is it just me or would everyone be more interested in a more story driven RP over a combat one? Cause if we prioritize story and character development over combat I think the rules could be somewhat lax regarding OPness. Of course, this probably wouldn't work considering the comptetiveness of the RP in earlier times. I still think it would be interesting.

I saw this rule somewhere else and I feel it would do wonders here: No picking fights with anyone under your tier level, e.g. obviously weaker then you. I feel this would help with the "I have to make __ moar Powahful or he won't last"

Speaking of tiers, we should make a classification chart for RPC's power levels just for kicks.
Skrubs- No explanation necessary. Fighters- Less of skrubs but still... Warriors- Dangerous but not all powerful. Single Toa Tron and Toa Hauden would likely fall here Titans- The highest order of power. Karunax, Cold Steel, the Mangai, and any enhanced Makuta would qualify for this tier. Legends- When you just want to bring in a Persona or two. These are the characters who are insanely powerful and are largely in the RP purely for story development and largely stay out of main combat (except when it's actually awesome instead of onesided overkill). Personas, gods, more evolved Cold Steel, and whatnot would all wind up in this category.
This is just a rough draft, but what do you think?

I for one would enjoy a story based roleplay, although I do love the combat aspect of the old RP.
Tiers seems a bit complicated, it feels to restrictive to me.
One thing I did want to point out though was that I don't know half of these characters, and more importantly, who they belong to. I think it would be helpful if we put the user's name in the RPC's signature. In Jalkron's I have, "RPC of Vestak" at the end.
I would prefer a story driven one. With lots of violent combat, of course
But yes, I feel the tier rule would work. Perhaps we could make a tier thread, to update? Just to make it easier?
An example
Skrub: Guratoni. Most Rahi are smarter than him, he's powerful but can barely fight without guidance. Fighters: Glyrin and Gurido would fall here, as both can fight but aren't very powerful, easily can be taken out. Warriors: Rasuto and Puraido would definitely fall here, as Rasuto herself has some of the best regeneration, and Puraido's shadows. Rasuto is also very good with offense, and Puraido..no, he is not good at defense. Period. Titans: Crystalia would probably be either here or borderline Warrior. Excidia could also fit here. Legends: Xitona, Denthraxx.

Teirs at the moment is just something fun to me, not something to take seriously or having any importance.

I mean, tiers are just an idea.
I just don't want Makuta running around oneshotting people, because that is how we get wars over who is the most OP.
Why not just jump right in? Combat will naturally accompany story. Should issues arise, we could leave a solution up to a majority vote to dampen bias.

Yeah, just go with the normal guidelines we had set up for the first one and jump right in, we will need to post all the HQs and reigions first.

In which case, we had probably figure out what exactly we want before everyone just starts creating locations willy nilly.
I like Kepler's idea of having major cities, such as Atero-Nui and say, Destral having their own sub-forums with different locations/streets/buildings as threads and what-not.

Note: Xia subforum should also include the two-mile scanning radius around it.
