I like Kepler's idea of having major cities, such as Atero-Nui and say, Destral having their own sub-forums with different locations/streets/buildings as threads and what-not.
Agreed. I don't know about Destral, but it makes sense to me to have Atero Nui's subforum split up into its different Elemental districts.
Forgive me; I don't think that I ever visited that roleplay. What travel system did it employ?
Well, you had a map, like so [sea][land][city1] [land][land][sea] [sea][city2][sea] (Obviously ours wouldn't be ascii) And each bit was a topic. And if you wanted to go from city1 to city2 you had to have your charecters go on a path through the map and post in the relevant topics, with periods of time between posts depending on travel speed. Obviously teleporters could bypass the whole thing, and a Xiajet wouldn't have to wait near as much time as a Xiacarrier who wouldn't have to wait as much as a Nektann squad.
Everyone here is fine with using chatzy? If so, I'll need that password, because I definitely need to be a part of those meetings.
I don't want to cause a problem here, but I am slightly concerned that these meetings may be problematic for me. Given that I am in a different time zone from (at least the majority of) you, my input may be minimal.
Okay, let's see - assuming the greatest degree of separation, Pacific Standard Time is approximately seven hours behind Greenwich Meridian Time. Actually, this may not be so bad... I don't want to make this revolve around my own needs, but are you all okay doing something like this in the morning?
Regardless, I probably won't be involved for at least another week and a half. Exams finish on the 20th; from then on I will be free in terms of the near future.
Mornings don't work for me. I'm brain-dead at that time.
Does everyone here have a google account? I would recommend using either Google hangouts or Discord for chat/voice-calls if it came to it. I enjoy talking to people

As for the next four weeks I will be at a program where one finds the most available showers at 6:00 in the morning (11:00 for you, I believe), that works fine. (As it so hilariously happens, Nick himself occupies PST, while the others of us appear to reside in Central or Eastern Standard).
I would like to further complicate this by adding that I have no daily schedule. Right now I'm out of school, but I still have two jobs, alongside household responsibilities. Without an alarm, I usually wake up around 10:00 a.m. PST on days where I can sleep in. When I've got work or something in the morning, the earliest I will wake up is around 5:30 a.m. PST. So that's... what... 1:00 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. respectively for EST?

As you know, I have the Google of Plus. I could attend hangouts, depending on when everyone decides to schedule. Though that last bit applies to anything that's scheduled...

I know voice calls (and especially video) can make people uncomfortable, but my dad sees it this way:
If you see their face, you'll know right off the bat if they're 50-year-old stalkers or not.

Doesn't make me uncomfortable, and as far as I can tell, face reveals don't even faze the BCC members (why couldn't you guys have just come all the way over to CA Downtown Disney instead??).
But some other users don't seem to like the idea. If need be they could always chill in the hangout's chatbox, though...

We definitely need a map, and I like the travel idea. I also agree with nick. We need to be more active on the chatroom. It might be a good idea for you, Mechboard, to send the password to the chatzy to everyone and schedule meetings as best as possible.
*laughs nervously* Yeah, I'll go try to send everyone the password.

NO. NONONONONONONONO. NO. NO. NO. NO.
NO.
NEVER. DO. NOT.
Why? I mean, I would find it uber-annoying, but then you get to feel smug when you acquire technology/powers that allow hypersonic flight and you deliberately cause sonic booms above everyone.
