"No, not really. I have one question. Where is Karunax? I haven't seen him in ages. I thought he'd be aiding you."
Charix stares at Magzus in disbelief, unable to fully hear his question. "So you have no problem with a being possessed of power surpassing that of Zurakia who would take enormous pleasure in seeing us all lying in pieces roaming around this world?! Whatever sins you say Valix committed would seem trivial compared with what this being is capable of! Your apathy is truly stunning!"
"That being can be defeated like everything can. If Zurakia can be defeated. That green being can too. We just need the power to do so."
"Toll" keeps heading towards the fortress's direction, though this is probably pure coincidence. "Special" keeps up with the slasher villain.
The illusion works upon the landscape to make it appear in a second that the landscape has shifted suddenly. The direction the duo are traveling has now, apparently, shifted in relation to their surroundings.
"Toll" just ignores this and keeps walking forward, but "Special" is getting frustrated that they're seemingly walking in circles.

"....Yes, that being could possibly be defeated if we have the time to prepare, but you must understand that, by his nature, he will not confront us in any tangible way. If he has relations with Xia he will surely manipulate them into doing his work for him. Hence, Xia is to be considered a possible accessory in his plans."
Charix pauses for a while before letting loose a small sigh. "Adversaries fight to take over the world. Anarchists disturb the peace. In order to deal with all this a constant vigilance must be maintained. A constant quest for military strength and power must be engaged in. When one enemy is eliminated two take his place. And I have to deal with all of it. I can't even rightly say that my brothers and sisters among the Brother-Hood are concerned with this burden, as I suspect very few of them care very much about any of it. I am forced to deal with all foreign disputes, plus every single domestic mishap which occurs within my organization. And yes, I would echo your question. Where is Karunax?"
Charix twitches in agitation as he repeats himself. "Where is he? He vanished without a trace after having held his own against a foe he should have been more than over-matched by. He displayed strength almost akin to that of Zurakia....That should not have been possible. He faced the foe all by himself. His trust in his own abilities is considerable, but even he should have taken...more appropriate precautions when fighting Zurakia."

A few seconds after speaking, the double doors at the entrance to the cavern open, and an Oohnorak scurries in cautiously. The Visorak, perceiving the silence, speaks out. "Grand Lord Charix and honorable guest. A traveler has been waiting for an audience with you Grand Lord. He has been waiting for some time."
Charix drags his gaze over to the Oohnorak and responds. "Tell him I will see him shortly. Bring him here."
The Oohnorak dips his head to both Charix and Magzus before returning through the doors, closing them behind him. Charix turns his attention back to Magzus. "Is there anything you wish to discuss further before my other guest arrives? I trust that you at least have seen that I am not an enemy of this world."
Oxlley finishes his tea and wonders where Charix is
A knock sounds at the door to the room and and an Oohnorak can be glimpsed in behind the door's small window. Provided he is given permission to enter, the Oohnorak enters and speaks. "Grand Lord Charix is able to see you know. If you will please follow me."
Provided Oxlley has nothing to add, he is lead out of the room through a few hall ways before being lead to the much larger hallway leading to the double door entrance to Charix's throne room. Two Gate Guardians can be seen watching the hallway on either side of the door. Their tiny visible forms look odd as they open the doors to allow Oxlley through. The Oohnorak enters the throne room with Oxlley before, dipping his head to everyone in the room, backs out closing the doors behind him.
Oxlley can see Charix seated on his throne. White streaks of armor and his fully manifested head breaking up his shadowy form. He speaks out upon Oxlley's entrance in a formal, yet amiable tone.
"Greetings traveler. I trust your lodging was to your liking?"

Unable to redirect the would be opponents elsewhere, the commanding Visorak simply has the fortress moved to the shadow zone. The warping generator does its job, and the fortress is immersed in Kahgarak energies, warping to the shadow zone.
The pair march up to, and past where the fortress stood without challenge, and without seeing anything that would suggest an establishment was ever there.

Charix uses mind reading to discern Oxlley's name.
"No, certainly, such is always good to hear. Now, I am slightly puzzled, Oxlley, concerning why you insisted upon an audience with myself. Surely you must know that a Makuta such as myself would be occupied by larger matters across this world. I trust you have a compelling purpose."
"That being can be defeated like everything can. If Zurakia can be defeated. That green being can too. We just need the power to do so."

"You wish to protecf this world? I shall aid you then. Settle my differences with Makuta and fight for thsi world's peace." He looks up at Charix. "Meaning, That isn't Karunax... it is something else."

Charix mentally continues the conversation due to Oxlley's presence.
"Your aid is appreciated. My coalition is growing by the day. As for Karunax...Never say what you have just said again. The thought you have echoed comes right from my own mind, but let it not be spoken. If I am correct, Karunax is either a pawn of the Composer, or some form of illusion. I do not know which yet. As we are fighting against powers I do not fully understand yet, this idea must be kept secret. No other Makuta, or anyone else for that matter, must know. When Karunax returns, which I think he might, he must be treated no differently than usual. Understood? Do not speak, simply think your response!"

"Must I find him?"
"No. I have already assigned two Makuta to that task. I have another task for you. Would you be willing to act as my personal ambassador? Representing me to those organizations and individuals I have need of communicating formally with?"
"Oh, it was splendid. The staff was excellent, and I'm sure they would appreciate a pay raise, if you don't mind me saying."

"Oh, I know, yes, and I apologize for any inconvenience I might have caused! I know from my time as military adviser to Makuta Anranok how busy you can be. Of course I must doubt if you have more important business elsewhere, as you seem to have time to chat with a Toa of Fire about a former Brotherhood Leader in your headspace. Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but it would seem your focus would be here with or without me.
"Now you ask my purpose. Yes, that is an interesting question. I have come because this world is in chaos, and I believe there is a way to fix that."

Charix leans forwards slightly, using his mind reading to look for confirmation in Oxlley's mind that his statement regarding his dealings with Anranok is true.
"A military adviser to lord Anranok? How is it that your name was never mentioned among the Brother-Hood? I should have inquired after you years ago when your expertise was more needed."
"As for the chaos you speak of, I am aware of it, although I believe these problems are more ordered and planned than that word would suggest. What thoughts have you?"

His mind is strangely blocked off.
"Oh, I'm afraid you won't find information that way. My stint with the Order of Mata Nui gave me an excellent Mental Shield. People rarely remember to record my name, i'm afraid. Perhaps it's because it keeps changing. Perhaps it's because they don't realize exactly what I did for them."
Oxlley looks away thoughtfully.
"At any rate, yes, I tend to agree with you about the ordered chaos. There are forces at work in this world that will do whatever it takes for victory and survival. And there are still others, vastly powerful and inexplicable ones, that live solely off the chaos of a broken world. Now, I have theorized for some time the existence of these powers, sitting behind the curtain pulling strings. You can see a pattern of chaos and war, whenever these powers act. It is no difficult thing to deduce that they exist, just as it is not difficult to deduce where they reside, and who are their favourite pawns. They leave a hole in history, and it is merely a job of reconstructing what is inside. One resides in Xia. One in Destral. There are at least two more. And I think by now you know of what I speak of. And perhaps even a name."
"No. I have already assigned two Makuta to that task. I have another task for you. Would you be willing to act as my personal ambassador? Representing me to those organizations and individuals I have need of communicating formally with?"

"Does that mean I might fight?"
"The position is largely one of peaceful communication, although if you wish to fight I could certainly arrange for that as well."
Charix leans forwards slightly, using his mind reading to look for confirmation in Oxlley's mind that his statement regarding his dealings with Anranok is true.

Charix stares at Oxlley for some time before speaking. "Your perception does you credit. You are correct in the most general sense, in all that you have surmised, and the details concerning this are known to me."
Charix pauses before continuing. "I am well aware of two of these forces and the names associated with them, but you speak of two more? My experience has only revealed two to me."

"I have observed anomalous activity in areas less explored by the brotherhood. I have been journeying for many months, collecting stories of natives and villagers, and even the beasts and the trees. Many of them are frivolous tales of little importance, but some, I am sure are related. Drastic changes in the world unlike anything I have encountered before."
