OOC: Ohhhh, it’s obvious in retrospect. Maybe It may come back later. For now it’s just lore.
OOC: *Poorly resists the urge to ask what it is*
Ok. Just mor lore and hinting then pls
IC: Sylah slumps against the wall closest to her, breathing heavily and staring emptily at the ground. The Vo-Toa raises a hand and lets out a roar as she punches the wall behind her, a notable crack appearing. She lowers her hand, and lies still, panting slightly and gritting her teeth.
"....I can't do it....I can't....see where everyone...is anymore..."
"..."
She gives a short, barking laugh and looks at Arilam despairingly, before lowering her head again. "..even...even when I'm not a monster...I still...I just..."
She does not speak for a few minutes, and smiles humorlessly.
"...I'm not a very good Toa, now am I?"
IC: Arilam glanced at his blade laying on the wooden, rickety table below the map. His face shifting to a melancholy expression as he noticed the countless scratches and signs of ware on the edge of the weapons blade. There was a hint of red on the edges that the Toa wished he could ignore. "Well, I wouldn't exactly say you're alone on that front." He sighed. "Seems like a lot of that 'Toa spirit' we looked up to so often just disappeared when we arrived here. Things seemed so much more simple before then..."
IC: Lync stands in front of the Matoran, holding out the telescope.
"Really, take it," she insists. He just continues to look at her skeptically.
"Are ya sure? You can just keep it, it's us lot who should be paying you." He tries to push the spyglass away, but she takes his hand and wraps it around the present.
"I'm not a Glatorian anymore. I don't do this for the money. I broke your spyglass, so I got you a new one." She pulls her hands away before he can try and give it back, folding them behind her back. "Though, uh, you mentioned that you knew something about Storm?" The villager stared at her blankly. "That other raider group. Up north, I think you said?" Realization crossed the Matoran's face.
"Ah, them charlatans. See, I knew you wanted som'in."
"No, this isn't a trade, I would've help-" The Matoran laughs, waving her off.
"Deny it if it really makes ya feel better, but I understand ya. These raiders, they came from the north. Kidnapped a few friends and ran away home." Lync waits.
"..that's it?" The Matoran shrugs.
"Sorry to disappoint, but that's all I got."
"No, no! That's fine. A lot more than anyone else knows. I just hoped..." she trails off. What had she hoped? That Zhiode had exposited their entire plan in some dramatic monologue? It was a ridiculous notion. At least she knew where to check. Actually, it gave her a pretty good idea of where to check, knowing Borom. And the fact that they had started to kidnap people was an interesting development.
"Well, I just hope that helps. Safe travellin' and all; the Wastes could use a few more Toa like you." The Matoran left Lync to her thoughts.

Sansod paced, up and down, before the line of prisoners. They watched him, or stared at the ground, on their knees.
Jutlins. Jutlins, all of them.
He stopped. Turned and looked at them. "What do you have to say?"
One, a Vortixx, started blubbering about how he was being forced to do this. The Skrall stared silently but defiantly, directly into Sansod's eyes. A Skakdi started going nuts, yelling and nodding his head furiously. Not as if he was saying yes, more like the action would break his chains and smash the Toa before him into the ground.
Then there was the Toa. A rogue of some kind. He stared at the ground.
Sansod looked at each in turn. "Explain to me what you have done." The Skrall amongst them puffed out his chest. "I slaughtered your people, for the glory of the Skrall! You pathetic weaklings have beaten us before, but just you watch, we'll..." And on and on and on. The Vortixx cried out that he had sinned, that he should've never done what he did, stuff about how he was raised, and that he wanted to worship Mata Nui, blah blah blah. Right. Sansod would forgive him, this time. Send him to one of the nicer camps. The Skakdi kept screaming. They'd have to pacify him.
Still the rogue Toa stared downward.
The Face of Mata Nui looked up at the Toa with him. "Load them up. Except the rogue." His will completed, Sansod knelt before the hapless Toa. "You're going to sing like a bird for me now, eh?" The Toa spat at him. Sansod recoiled. "You have nothing to say for yourself?" "I know what I did." Sansod lifted the Toa's gaze forcefully, their eyes meeting. "Why did you do it? You, a Toa?" The two seemed to be dueling with opposing glares. "I am NOT a Toa." "Yes you are," Sansod stood, glaring at the rogue. "And that makes your crimes all the worse." He nodded to his fellow Order acolyte standing behind the rogue.
At this signal the Toa's mask was removed, and replaced with a new one: A mask black as night, carved like the Ignika, with no eye holes and the word "Piraka" etched in it. The rogue Toa screamed, as if the new mask created pain rather than power. A gurgling sound followed, and the Toa removed the strange mask from the prisoner. The rogue rolled about on the ground, mutating into some hideous form. The New Order left it there, to become whatever it became, and took the remaining prisoners back to New Atero. As they left, Sansod looked back to the sight of the capturing.
"Thus unto traitors." He spat apon the ground.
Come! Come and listen, my friends. Listen as I regale you with the next chapter in the legend of the Bionicle.

can you bring the Ignika over here so we can ressurect Mata Nui and have him chew out Herr Leader for being a huge [REDACTED] ? Even just the look on his face would be worth it.

It would be HILLARIOUS if they had a sort of Odin-Thor sort of moment.
Mata Nui: Through your arrogance and stupidity, you have opened these peaceful Realms and innocent lives to the horrors of war. You are unworthy of this Realm, unworthy of your title, unworthy of the loved ones you've betrayed. I hereby take from you your powers. I cast you out!

IC: Some time after Sansod had left....
The air in the place grew cold, a window blowing around the unmoving organic shape on the ground. Soft, light footsteps sounded nearby, as a lithe, slender thing knelt by the side of the broken, mutated creature. It raised a hand, slowly running it over the warped head, like a Matoran petting a pet Rahi, murmuring in a soft, silvery voice.
Aw....poor little thing. Broken and left here, by the Face of Mata Nui himself.
The thing inclined its head, as if whispering into the mutant's ear. Abandoned by god's representative. But don't worry.
It absently ran a finger down the side of the mutant's "face", a dagger-smile cutting across its smooth, featureless visage. I will put you back together.
The lithe thing wrapped its arm around the mutant's body, ignoring its feeble twitching and movements. It gave a low, hissing laugh, shivering violently. Ohhhhh.....this is going to be so much fun....
And then it was gone, without a trace of evidence that it had ever been there. The mutant was gone. And nothing remained.

Arc 7? I'm not saying I want the RP to burn to the ground or anything, but that's gonna be a really long RP considering the pace of the current arc

OOC: In reply to Abie;
Yes, it will be long, but only if we continue with the current pace. At least two of the next arcs will be more rapid due to Jay's posting time, the aliens can be crushed depending on vash and us, and other than that, we can probably crush the last few arcs before Arc 7.
In reply to Glace, don't worry, rest assured our plans to siphon resources and personnel from this endeavor into the next one should the moment arise, and also you've set a most nefarious problem into that; why would overthrowing the government, the government they themselves put into place, be something GOOD?
It sets a dangerous precedent for the Vanguard themselves to become dictators, or undermine whatever governance is in charge of the city, because why couldn't the "heroes" come overthrow them again? Other than their war and their creepy mind-mutation masks, the Order is not bad, in fact if anything it seems Sansod and his inner circle seem to be the ones corrupting it. Besides, can you honestly picture the bunch of pirates, warriors, and assorted maniacs that is the Vanguard trying to handle politics? They are good at breaking things, not running a city.
Also it would be faith in Bionicle-manity, not humanity

So what if it ends up like post-revolutionary France? Okay, that'd be bad...
But in all seriousness. These guys are possibly the worst governnent EVER. Like, Imperium of Mankind bad. Okay, maybe not that bad, but you get the idea. I'm not saying that the Vanguard should be in charge...
...but if you LET THEM keep this up, what does that say about the Vanguard? In government, if you aren't against your governing body, you're supporting it through compliance.
Maybe you'll all end up getting the Kanohi Piraka, or worse, but dying in your beds many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take our freedom!!! ALBA GU BRA!!! BUAIDH NÓ BÁS!!!" SCOTLAAAAAAAND!!!

Besides, can you honestly picture the bunch of pirates, warriors, and assorted maniacs that is the Vanguard trying to handle politics? They are good at breaking things, not running a city.
Also it would be faith in Bionicle-manity, not humanity
OOC: You control the Bionicles. Thus, lost faith in the human race.
*Clears throat* I'm done now.
OOC: They are an evil government/racists who violently over-react to a simple problem. That's bad, not Imperium bad.
Also, bonkles afaik do not die of old age, and both 'Kea and Sylah are biologically immortal.
Seriously what is mutating them gonna do? Make Sylah go insane? Make crazy Rahzahkea become Crazy-Fused-With-Starblade-Rahzahkea-Mutant?
They have no replacement, other than putting someone like Malvo or Goldie-Dax in charge, and that would have problems either way most likely. Also there is the fact none of them know squat about this incanon, unless Sansod deliberately went out of his way to threaten Rahzahkea/allude to his actions during that "talk" over him having the magic Tryna of Shadow Army-Making.
Also what does the Kanohi Piraka do again?

OOC: That's the thing I just described in the post this is all concerning. Shaped like the Ignika. No eye holes. You know how regular BIONICLE masks have a stud connector or a little cross thing you stick in the BIONICLE's face hole (at least in set form)? It has something like that, but since the BIONICLES don't actually use that, it goes in their mouth. The cross thing and the mask itself contains energized protodermis, which it injects into the wearer via mouthpiece, to avoid having energized protodermis spilling everywhere. It then mutates the wearer. By New Order logic, you will turn into a hideous monster or an awesome Nuva warrior depending on whether or not you have betrayed Mata Nui.
Come! Come and listen, my friends. Listen as I regale you with the next chapter in the legend of the Bionicle.

OOC: “My friends, we are gathered here to discus something of the extreme importance. What I’m about to say must not leave this room. It is treason of the upmost order. I feel we have little choice in this matter. I have in my hand a list of names. Nine. Nine beings who need to die. The city is out of control, and no one will do what needs to be done. I say this not out personal grief, but of necessity. Sansod must die. His supports must die. The Inquistors must die. And I fear we are the only ones who can to this quickly, and quietly. No one must know until it is over. We, the Knights, made an oath to this city. To protect it. And for a time the Order was nessecary, but now it has become its greatest enemy. I’ve givin you each a target, if you refuse I’ll understand, but I ask you do not speak of this until it is over. We must all do this at once, together. Cut the head off the snake before it is to late. Their will be consequences, but we will endure. If you will join me in this endeavor, take one of the names. If not, as I said I understand. What I’m asking is no simple task, nor is it pretty. Do what needs to be done. And last but not least..... Leave Sansod for me.”

OOC: I’ve been meaning to post something like this for a while, something I alluded too when I talked about the Vavo Future. The only reference, though, is the list of Nine Names from the original Assassins Creed.
”I have a list of nine names. Nine men who need to die.”
”Nine lives in exchange for my own?”
